With Kane sent back to their den to look after their children, Tamsyn stayed behind to be with Ash for at least a day or two after finding her in the grapevine cathedral. She had no doubt that she was safe here within the borders of The Hallows and she knew that her other children would take care of their sister, but she still couldn't leave her little girl behind in her current state. There was so much she wanted to say, so much she wanted to catch up with her on, but she didn't want to rush it. There was no telling what kind of terrors her daughter had gone through in this stretch of time since she had last seen her and she wanted to move at Ash's pace. She had stayed with Asheila in the infirmary for the remainder of the day before and into the night, just sitting near by while she slept, before finally going across the hall to one of the guest rooms so she herself could get a bit of sleep. It wasn't very deep sleep between the worry over her daughter and missing Kane and her youngest children, but it was sleep regardless.

The next morning Tamsyn went to the food stores and got a bit of breakfast for them both, placing the meat butchered from a rabbit into a cloth to make it easier to carry. She went to the infirmary, quietly pushing open the door and closing it behind her just as gently so she wouldn't disturb her daughter if she was still sleeping. Walking over to her bed, Tam couldn't help but smile softly when she saw her. It was just such a relief to finally know where all of her children were. She had heard form Art that Bowen was traveling, but once she returned then she would finally have all of her and Resin's children under one roof again and that felt like such a weight off of her shoulders. There had been a guilt that rested heavily on her in the wake of Resin's illness and passing, feeling as if she wasn't enough to keep all of their children safe and together on her own, but somehow she was managing to pull the strings back together and that eased that worry quite a bit.

She sat their bundled up breakfast off to the side on a table near Ash's cot and settled down on her haunches at the edge of the bed, waiting patiently for Ash to wake up on her own. She knew how badly her daughter needed this rest so she was willing to wait as long as it took.

Asheila had certainly gotten all the rest she needed after being found in the cathedral by her mother and Kane. And still she slept through the morning as if that wasn't enough. Maybe it wasn't, but she would be back on her feet in no time. Her dreams had been filled blankly, luckily for her they weren't filled with nightmares. She could feel completely at peace once she was here inside the castle walls and it would show if anyone could see her from the inside. For now all she did was rest.

She hadn't heard her mother come in with a meal, and she'd lay there for a little while longer. Eventually her heavy eyes would flutter open and she'd see her mother there just in the corner of her eye. She hummed a little before she moved to let out a stretch, twitching a little while she had forgotten about the stitches Kane had given her the evening prior. She was fine though, moving to lay upwards still in the process of waking up fully. "Good morning." She would take the food her mother had brought along more than willingly and maybe show more spirits than anyone else in her position would have.

She had a gentle smile on her face while here in the presence of her mother, but before she could really settle and enjoy the breakfast in front of her she paused and carefully dropped into a more serious exterior. "Mom, Resin, She's..." It was easier to piece together after all of the chaotic events that had happened yesterday along with what she had remembered in the days before she was taken. She had figured Resin would be here within the time she had come back. And she supposed she could have been off in other pack duties but it was almost like she knew better than to think. "I haven't really processed it yet." There could have been a million questions after the initial confirmation, but for now she'd let it rest. Maybe her and her mother could go more into details today, but she would just take every small step one at a time.

When Ash began to shift and wake up, Tam's gaze shifted to her daughter and a smile tugged at her lips. "Good morning," she said in reply, starting to unwrap and portion out half of the food she had brought while Ash stretched and got settled more upright on the cot. She almost warned her not to move too drastically to protect the stitches Kane had put in, but Ash seemed to remember and realize it as she stretched so Tam didn't need to. Placing a portion of the meat at Ash's paws, she said, "I figured you would probably be hungry when you woke up and you certainly need a good meal to heal." She would certainly need a lot of good meals and rest before she was fully healed up from her ordeal, but this was a good start. Besides, Tam didn't get the chance to really care for any of her older children any more now that they were old enough to live their own lives and she was off living hers so it was a nice treat in a way.

As they began to eat their respective meals they ate quietly for a bit before Ash spoke, bringing up Resin and the obvious lack of her presence here. It seemed that her clever daughter had already picked up on the fact that her mom would have been here to see her if she could and what the only real reason for her absence would have been beyond just Resin disappearing as she had which was very much not in her late mate's personality. Tam's ears flicked back and shoulders sagged slightly as a frown pulled at her lips. "Yes," she replied softly as Ash questioned the loss of her mother without fully spelling it out. "I'm not sure I have either even though it's been so long," she added with a soft sigh when Ash mentioned how she hadn't processed it yet.

"It's been two years now," she admitted after a moment, starting to pick at her breakfast a bit. It was hard to imagine that it had been that long already even though so much had happened in that time as well. Some days she felt as if she had fully accepted what had happened and had moved on and sometimes that grief caught back up with her. She had learned to deal with it much better than she had in the past, but that was entirely thanks to Kane and their children. They gave her a reason to keep going and looking toward the future. "I know she would be thrilled that you were home," Tam assured her as her mint gaze refocused on Ash with a small, slightly sad smile.

She could empathize with her mother even after all the time they had spent apart and all in all how much time she had lost being a part of their family. But as Tamsyn had continued to say it had been two years, it had grasped her in the way that was expected. She hadn't had the time to sit and think how long it had been since she was part of The Hallows, but the number had made her in awe. She felt like life had gone so slow but also had gone by so fast. She was stuck in this near loop of her age and every day life, thinking about how old she was today was even a little baffling to her. She didn't want to let it hinder her for long, not in front of her mother.

She did take all her mother said to her to heart, she knew Resin would have loved her back home. She knew that her family had done just near everything to find her. She didn't blame anyone for what had happened or even if they had given up after so long. There were things she wished she could change to not be in this situation, but there was no way to go back. She wasn't ready to just jump up and start a new life, but she wasn't dwelling on all the bad in these moments, and there was a lot of bad.

"The others?" She asked quietly, for her siblings and adopted siblings, and not really so cluelessly to her but even her mother who had found more to follow and love.

Tamsyn could see the realization of just how much time had been missed as she spoke about the loss of Resin and how long it had been since her passing. Still, to her daughter's credit, she kept her composure and asked after the others of their family regardless. She knew all of her children were strong, bright individuals, but sometimes she was still amazed and so very proud of them when she witnessed these moments that showed that. She knew this wasn't easy, especially after gods knew what Ash had been through, but she was doing well all things considered. "Most of them are here," she replied, a small smile touching her lips. "Artorias is here of course. He took Resin's place as the Aegis once he was of age. Gwynevere is the Chief Physician. She's usually in the infirmary, but apparently she's gotten a boyfriend that she's taking some time with," she said with a little chuckle. "Rudyard and Avantika are both part of Art's Vanguard from what I understand."

There was a pause before she added, "Bowen was gone for a while as well... Taken away. She did eventually find her way back to us, thank gods. She's been in The Hallows until fairly recently. I've been told she was doing some traveling, going up to the Armada and taking some time away. She's supposed to be back soon though." She didn't know all of the details as to why her wandering daughter was off again, but she knew Bowen was smart and would take care of herself. She just hoped she would return sooner rather than later. "I haven't seen much of Grimshaw. He left quite a long time ago. I believe he found a home with Armada though." Now that Asheila was here she felt so much more at peace now that she at the very least knew where her children were—or at least in Bowen's case know that she was in Boreas and would be back. The not knowing and the countless dark possibilities that could befall them kept her up at night sometimes. That was the curse mothers came to bear, she decided. It was the price to pay for getting to enjoy all the wonderful, beautiful things motherhood brought her.

"I... I took another mate after Resin passed," she admitted after a bit of hesitation. It had been a hard thing to bring up to her children when it happened and it wasn't any less hard now. "I'm sure you already guessed that, seeing as how Kane was with me when we found you." Ash was a perceptive young woman and had already connected a lot of dots on her own so she was sure that her daughter would have figured this out as well. "We have three children. Malik, Juniper, and Sierra. They just past a year old." It was a lot of information already to take in so she paused there, letting Ash decide how much more or what else she wanted to know.

Ash was quiet, maybe expected of her and the situation. But thinking of all of her siblings, even Grimshaw who wasn't here and knowing that they were in some kind of high regard or position, or doing things for themselves, it was just a sliver of an eye opener for her. She had missed out on so much of her family. She wouldn't dwell too much on it in the moment, but it had ignited something that would brew in the time past this moment.

Her eyes looked back up at her mother as she stated that Kane and her were mated, but she showed little reaction to the fact. "I can see that now." She stated as it was easy to put the pieces together now that she was healing and rested up. "I'm not mad or anything, I just..." She just didn't know. She was living in a whole other lifetime it seemed. And in ways that was true from where she had just escaped from. But she didn't know how to develop the loose strings that she had with her family here. It was too fresh in the experience she had, and that's what made it overwhelming.

She smiled a little though, delayed from when her mother spoke again. She still wanted to seem and feel happy, and she could find that silver lining as much as this was difficult for her and probably her mother too. "I'd like to meet them." She had no intentions of leaving the castle after everything that happened or at least right now, but she could say to herself that she was eager to meet more of her siblings. Maybe that felt more like a fresh start than where she was right now.
