Rudyard was waking up early these days, a feat that had taken some getting used to t first.  He wanted to be up every morning when his kids were to watch them run out for fun or help them with any bit of fun they had in mind.  Also, he wanted to be around in case his children found trouble.  Hopefully, they didn’t pick up Rudyards penitent for finding trouble that he’d had for so long growing up.

Rudy wanted to be sure and spend lots of time with his kids and help them find fun in a safe fashion.  While playing with the lot of them at once would be fun it was time to do a bit of individual time.  Howling for Meadow, Rudyard waited right outside the front of the castle.  He’d let her explore the god's garden, with all manner of plants to check out he expected she’d enjoy this sort of thing.

She likes the mornings. The way that the quiet hung around her shoulders. The way that the stillness seemed to fill up every corner of the castle, right before everyone else seemed to get up. Before things got too busy, too loud. The mornings that she has time to herself, those are the days that she feels the best. Today was one of those days, one of her days. Meadow had gotten up early and stolen away to watch the sun come up through one of the east-facing windows. She watched the patrols as they went out in the morning, and she watched as the castle came to life.

And then there was dad? Why was he outside? What was he looking for? Oh, the call that seemed to resonate from his chest... that was for her! She climbed down from her seat in the window and down the stairs, plodding toward the front of the castle and to her father where he waited. With bright, wide eyes she arrived by his side, head cocking to one side and then the other. Were they going somewhere? Did he need her help with something? Whichever it was, Meadow was ready for a good day.
