Glittering drink surprise

Thorn sat on the beach sand, looking curiously at the vial he’d found near the surf. The smell of ocean salt was strong on it but below that he scented mushrooms of a sort he didn’t recognize precisely. The liquid inside seemed glittery and had the pup wondering what in the world the thing could be. Mushroom juice?

The pup popped open the vial, scenting the contents. It didn’t smell bad and the sparkling sensation was so alluring. Thorn licked at the vial, tasting sea salt but none of the liquid was up high enough. The blue-toned pup considered wisdom versus curiosity. Well, if it was just mushroom juice it should be safe enough, right? Curiosity finally won out and the boy lifted up the vial in both paws, sipping at the contents, then another sip.
