Fia had done everything her mother asked of her when it came to moving into her own den, maybe expected of her. And while it was just about everything she had asked for she couldn't help but feel a little lonely from time to time. In the den all by herself that was. There was a gentleness to the night or even daytime when she would sleep then so it was definitely relaxing. But she wouldn't admit at least to her mother that she was missing that key part that she may not have been completely ready for. Even having her own place in the family den felt different than it did now. But she grew in it.
She joined her mother a little early before dinner, coming to the family den where Manea may have been cleaning up or getting things ready. Before anyone else was in here, that's what she wanted. Her younger siblings were old enough to leave just the den by themselves, in fact she may have seen one of them nearby on her way in.
She silently offered to help her mother prepare for their little family dinner as they usually did though it may have been unusual this early for Fia. Maybe sign that she was here for a reason. "Mom?" She asked quietly, barely even looking up from her moving paws, "Can I ask you something?" There was no sense of nervousness in her voice though she didn't really like asking anything of her parents. She felt like asking for the den was hard enough. And she was still in an age where most obedience was present aside from the few times she snuck out of the borders but they didn't need to know about that.

Manea rolled out an extra fur near the fire that she had just finished adding some more logs to, expecting Sara and Ava to join them for dinner as well tonight. Their oldest children didn't eat with them every night any more, now busy with their own lives and obligations, but of course they were always invited. Just as she turned to get another fur to add to the seating area around the fire, she saw Fiametta walking up the path from where she now made her own den and Manea smiled, her tail wagging gently behind her. It was early for her independent daughter to appear for dinner, but she certainly wasn't complaining. Fia fell in beside her, helping her with the preparations, but when she quested whether or not she could ask her something, Manea looked up from her work to give Fia her full attention. "Of course, darling, you can always ask me anything," she assured her, waiting to see what was on her mind.

She expected nothing less of her mother as Manea paused the quick work they were doing before dinner and fully put her focus on her. Fia wasn't exactly sure how her mother would feel about what she asked, she was pretty sure it was no big deal but then again... She supposed there was a reason she was talking to her mother opposed to her father. She would soon see why maybe.
"I uh, made a friend at the festival that was at The Steppe." Easy enough. Though maybe that was a big step for her in the eyes of her closest family members. She didn't really care much for anyone, so friends weren't easy to come by with her and that had always been clear. "I was wondering if he could come to visit for a few days." Casual, maybe harmless, maybe not. Fia wasn't a stupid girl, she was raised by intelligent parents and other wolves and on top of that very passionate parents. Not that it was exactly clear that's what she wanted but she could see through the eyes of one of her parents how that could be some kind of boyfriend situation. She wouldn't take it that far herself, Stolas was just a friend. But with her asking for her own den and now pushing on this, who knew. Maybe that was a little too much.

Considering Fia's last request had been to move out of their family den and into a den of her own, Manea didn't really know what to expect when Fia came to ask her a question. Somehow, the motion of meeting a friend at the festival that had taken place at the Steppe and the request that followed for that friend to come and visit for a few days still caught her by surprise. Her brows lifted with a noticeable interest and it was admittedly a little hard to keep the little smile that threatened to tug at her lips away. She didn't miss the fact that this was a he that she wanted to invite to their pack to visit. Fia had met a boy.
It did make her wonder what kind of response Fia expected from her at the mention of a "friend"—and assumed there was likely a reason this question had been brought to her specifically and not to Alastor or the both of them over dinner. Manea chuckled softly and settled back onto her haunches, now very much more interested in this conversation than in preparing their dinner. "Well, I suppose it depends on who this friend is," she replied with a hint of amusement. "What's his name?"

As Manea shifted from responsibility over dinner to having her full attention on her daughter, Fia couldn't help but feel a little flustered and blush a little. Stolas was just that, a friend. But it would seem with him being a boy the situation would change. Not that Fia really had other relationships to compare it to. It was just a kind of natural instinct to feel that way and the way her mother reacted would confirm those suspicions. Maybe it's what gave her more ideas than him just being a friend. Nothing severe though.
She did eventually, but quickly take a seat as her mother had gotten a little more comfortable. Fia pulled her lip back a bit, but she'd tell her mother as she asked. "Stolas. He's from Ashen." Simple and to the point she assumed. Easy for her to act completely stale like it wasn't a big deal. Him, or telling her mother. It was all the build up to that point that would tell her mother how she was feeling about asking her which was on the verge of nervous. "He reads the stars and likes swimming I guess." Did she... need to know about him? Oh well. In some sort of way it was like she was trying to show her mother those shared interests to get him to stay. As if he was just a kid like her or something. No funny business. Though Fia did like to assume she could get into some trouble occasionally.

Manea's curiosity about this boy that Fia had apparently befriended was soon satisfied as her daughter revealed that this was someone from Ashen named Stolas. Hearing that he was from Ashen made her brows lift a touch with interest. Of course she had to wonder if perhaps this boy was either one of Venom's or maybe one of her nephews, though she knew not everyone in Ashen would be one of her friend's relatives. Still, the possibility was there and even if this friendship turned out to be nothing more than that then Manea was happy that they were building more connections between their two packs–and that Fia was out making friends. She chuckled a bit at the few facts Fia gave about the boy she was wanting to bring around. Since he was from one of their allied packs she wasn't too worried about bringing him here to visit since he would have been welcomed either way, but it was still cute to hear her daughter try to introduce him in a way.
"Well, it might be a bit cold for you two to swim in the lake right now, but perhaps he can come for another visit in the summer to do that," she said with a little grin. "Stolas is more than welcome to visit. Just let me know when he'll be around and we'll make sure to have a nice dinner that night with him." Of course she wouldn't let Fia get away with having a boy come visit without also at least meeting him herself. She started to turn her attention back to their current dinner plans and handed Fia a couple of the furs she was getting laid out near the fire. "Now help me with getting our dinner set out, darling."
