The Warlord was cycling through the pups, doing his best to give them one on one attention and training as they grew. It was hard not to feel a little distance from them, the reminder of Zee in each and every one of them. But he did the best he could to give them a childhood, and experience to take on the world.

Today, he grabbed Andy. He had considered gifting her a place to watch the stars, but in the end he had decided that it would mean more if it was a labour that she took a part in. that way, she could suggest features herself, and in once it was finished feel pride in the work.

He had chosen a spot, high up on First Light point. Not far from where the watch outpost was, and where he and Keahi had watched a storm. That it placed Andy near support of a place that was constantly under guard despite being a little higher and more secluded from the pack wasn’t by accident. Raising his head, the Warlord called to the young girl, summoning her to him.


"Sirius Fatalis"

Since returning to the Armada, Andy has slowly been reintegrating herself into the pack and life. Of her family, the young lavender girl feels that she is handling the loss of Zee the best and she knows she owes that fact to Briar and Zuriel. As she wakens, the girl wonders if the winter wonderland that had taken hold of the Armada, is still here. Snow has recently fallen, blanketing the lands in white and Andromeda had found herself appreciating the powdery scenery near the warmth of the ever-burning bonfire for the past several days. Much to her sadness, the snow has melted and left the col in its natural state.

Before she left the den for the morning, Andy had grabbed a cloak and hurriedly thrown it on, more interested in what she was going to see than making sure she has it on right. It lays askew over her back as she moves into the clearing, offering some warmth but not as much as it could if she had it tied correctly. That is where she is when a call reaches her ears and Andy’s head snaps in the direction of the mountain pathway, blinking in surprise. Dad wants to meet her… up there? Swiftly, the pup moves to where the start of the path is… and hesitates.

The last time she had climbed this was with mom, not too long before they had all left for the Hallows. Slowly, with her cloak hanging loosely off her body, the girl carefully makes her way up to where her dad waits as she reminisces about the night she had spent with mom, learning about stars. When she reaches her father, a large smile is on her lips and she greets him warmly with a gentle wag of her tail. Moving toward him, Andy gently headbutts one of his long legs and says, “Hey dad. Whatca doin’ up here, all alone?” If he wishes to embrace her, the girl will gladly welcome it.


"Andromeda Fatalis"

It wasn’t long before the small horned girl arrived. When she greeted him with a headbut, he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Hello, little one” He said, before turning his attention briskly to the land around them. “Now, as you can see, First Light Point is the best watching place to observe the areas surrounding the Armada to see any dangers approaching. But here is one of the best places to turn your attention upwards.” he said, rubbing a paw over the semi-flat earth in front of him.

He let her stew over that for a moment and wonder where his words were leading them, before he spoke again. “Here, would be just the place to build a conservatory. A star-watching place.” He explained, looking back at his daughter.

"Sirius Fatalis"

Life has changed for the Fatalis family as the loss of Zee can be felt far and wide. Yet, the young Andy is finding herself discovering the joy that rests in small moments. Like now. While she is uncertain of the reason her dad has called her up to First Light Point, the young, horned girl is thankful that he wants to spend time… with her. Family means everything to the pup and there is a genuine, warm smile is on her lips as she gently headbutts his leg. She is careful of where her sprouting horns are in relation to his leg so that she does not end up skewering her dad.

As she pulls back a kiss is pressed into her forehead and the girl’s smile brightens further while her tail wags a little faster. Love, deep and unmeasurable, sparkles in her pale eyes as she looks up to her father, devoting all her attention to what he has to say. Head nods as she looks around, noticing how far she can see from up here. And then, he mentions looking upwards and Andy’s attention snaps back to Sirius as she realizes what he means. Up here, she can set up the telescope that her parents had gifted her and get an astounding, clear view of the night sky.

Eyebrows lift as excitement pulls her features up and Sirius goes on. As he mentions a star-watching place, the girl’s eye blink in wide-eyed surprise and pure joy writes itself in every line of her face. Looking up to her dad, tail wags slowly as her gaze turns distant while the pup turns over the idea of having such a place over and over in her mind. Excitement and sense of humility fills her chest as she thinks of huge task of building it.

A gentle, yet icy, breeze ruffles her fur and sends the cloak that lays askew over her back fluttering as she silently mulls over this gift. Finally, she shakes herself out of her introspective state and looks to meet her father’s vibrant blue gaze. Softly, somewhat uncertainly, Andy gently questions, “This is for me? You… you want to build this… for me?” Tears sparkle in the cold winter sunlight as she feels slightly overwhelmed and extremely thankful for the mere idea of such a place being made.

In the past, tears usually formed in expression of sadness or anger. But, these, for what feels like the first time, these are tears of joy. Lavender leg raises and she swipes a paw across her eyes to wipe away the tears that leak out of her eyes before Andy smiles brightly at her father and determinedly says, “I want to help.”


"Andromeda Fatalis"

The Warlord gave her some time to come to terms with the idea, placing a paw gently over her shoulder as tears formed and were wiped away. “Yes. Everyone needs a place.” He agreed gently. Somewhere to call their own. For Andy, he had an inkling that something like this would be perfect. It would be some work, especially hauling building materials up the long winding path that led here. But his companions would help with that.

“Yes. Together.” He agreed, squeezing her shoulders gently, and giving her a moment before continuing on. “Let's start by deciding the dimensions for it. How much space will you need, what will you be storing here?” He asked in an attempt to get her thinking and planning. They would need space for the telescope of course. Perhaps a table for some maps?


"Sirius Fatalis"

As she wipes away the tears, her father gently agrees that everyone needs a place and Andromeda turns a huge, bright smile up to him. Shifting forward once more, she carefully presses her head into his chest, aware of where her horns are, as she softly says, “Thank you dad. It will be put to great use.” Stepping back, she informs him that she wants to help and the Warlord agrees, lifting his giant paws to gently squeeze her shoulders as she beams up at him.

As her dad releases her, he talks about dimensions and questions how much room she will need. Swiftly, the girl’s mind turns to the building, sorting through ideas while she slowly walks around the area. After a few moments of contemplation, Andy turns her pale gaze back to her father and begins with, “Well, besides an area for the telescope, I think a desk would be nice so I can chart the stars and their movements.”

There is a small pause as she tilts her head before adding, “Also, an area for a bed so I can nap if I end up spending a little more time then I mean to up here.” A gentle laugh spills out as she already foresees that happening quite often. Another idea has her tilting her head as the girl says, “And maybe an area to store the maps I make too. That way I don’t have to carry them up and down the mountain every time.”

Nodding to herself, Andy waits to hear what her father thinks about her ideas.


"Andromeda Fatalis"

As Andy pressed her head into his chest, Sirius placed a paw over her. Drawing her deep into a hug. “Andy. He said, voice very soft. “I love you.” He wasn’t a sentimental wolf, but it was very important to him that his youngest litter of children understood that.

He released her, and their attention drifted back to the building that they would make. There was much to do, and it was a welcome distraction. “I was thinking the same thing” He agreed as she mentioned a place for star maps. “bed space, map space, storage space, and a place to put your telescope.” He agreed. “We still have the glass panels from the old greenhouse. We could use those for the ceiling and two wolves. That should give you a good vantage place to look. We should place those walls where they can look out over the cliff.” He added, sketching a paw through the first as he laid out some plans.


"Sirius Fatalis"

As the lavender pup places her head against her father’s broad chest, he lays a paw over her shoulders and draws her into a deep hug. Slender legs snake around his sides as Andy reciprocates every ounce of love that is given. Then, Sirius softly tells her that he loves her and the purple pup feels the tears once again stinging her eyes. He isn’t one to usually be so sentimental and, while he doesn’t often say the words ‘I love you’ she knows, deep down, that he does. But now, hearing them softly offered to her has the girl’s heart singing with joy and she softly responds, “I love you too dad.” As he moves to release her, the girl shifts her weight back so she can lift her pale gaze to meet her father’s own blue eyes.

Voice soft but filled with so much love, she adds, “I will always love you dad. No matter what.” Truer words have never been spoken by her and, while she may get frustrated or angry with him, her love will never waver. Sirius is her father and she is a daddy’s girl. Finally, she pulls away, stating the rooms she thinks she will need. Of course, her dad agrees with her ideas and adds to them which has Andromeda nodding enthusiastically, “So, two walls will need to be solid enough to withstand the wind storms that can come through. The glass will be okay… right?” She wonders if there is something extra they will need to do to protect the glass or if it will be thick enough by itself.
