Shake Off The Rust [Dorian]

Settling into her role as a pack wolf had taken awhile. Dagrún focused on getting familiar with the layout of Ethne's territories as well as its borders which she patrolled when she could. It left little time for training and working on her physique beyond the exercise of walking.
After her shift on patrol was finished she headed to the base of the falls. The walk had limbered her up but still she felt it prudent to stretch. She arched her back up and down, wincing as her spine popped before she lifted her left front leg onto a rock and leaned back to stretch it. All the while Dag debated about what she'd do. Rock climbing? She could try climbing up the face of the falls. Really a spar sounded like the most fun. That or finding some coyotes or something to mess with.

Dorian stood up from the studying and work he was doing with the herbs he and his father had collected recently, sorting them out into various containers and piles in their den and putting them away while he repeated back to himself what all they could do and what they were used for. As much as he loved learning about healing and being helpful to his family with the skills he was working on, even he could admit that it got kinda boring after a while. Besides, his legs were starting to fall asleep from sitting in one spot for so long. He quickly finished up what he was doing with a satisfied sigh and then stood up, doing a loooong stretch as he got to his paws. After a quick shake of his caramel fur, Dorian turned his attention to the daylight that was peeking through into the den past the waterfall and decided that he had been inside long enough and he had earned some play time!
With that decision made, Dorian trotted outside and as he came down off of the path that led out from behind the waterfall, he spotted a white-flecked woman who was also doing some stretches. He was still working on learning the names of the pack members that weren't part of his family, but he thought he had at least heard his mom mention her before. Dragun? Dagmun? Digrun? ... No, those didn't sound right. Regardless, he saw her paw up on a rock as she stretched and he couldn't miss an opportunity like that. With a little, mischievous grin on his lips he crouched down behind some of the other rocks that surrounded the falls so that he couldn't be seen and kept up on her and then at the last second popped up from the other side of the rock she was using and pounced on her snow-dipped paw. "Gotcha!" he called with a giggle as he bounced back with his tail wagging.

Dagrún sighed in relief as she cracked her shoulders. Ahhh, much better. She was feeling limbered up now and she was about to start climbing she heard the clicking of claws. Her ears twitched. Suddenly a pup popped up and she jumped back as he swatted at her, just missing her paw. "Say! What's the big idea, twerp?" Her tone was more playful than scolding, tail wagging just lightly as she tried to remember which of Bellamy's kids this one was. They were growing fast, that was for sure. Now about three seasons old she assumed they all had areas of study they were pursuing though she was still getting to know her new pack mates.
