where'd you crawl off to?

No one had told him that she was back, or where she'd even wandered off to. Tojo didn't know...which meant this was almost like a secret, something Tachi could keep to himself, maybe show the card a little way down the road. Tachi wondered if this meant Beru was back too, since they used to be joint at the hips, mostly. Unlike them, Tachi had never been super attached to his siblings, he tolerated them more than most, steered the worst of his crap away from their general direction. But now he was curious and nosey and maybe about to be real pushy.
He lopped across the sandy beach, narrowing in on the trail his smaller, but not smallest, sister had left behind. Was she still into plants and the like? There were plenty to be found around here, if his sense of smell was to be trusted.

And in time we find some shelter, Spill our seeds and then wait for our turn Wari gently placed another seashell atop her steadily growing pile. She was... definitely going to need a bag of some sort to bring them all back, but the yearling had decided to worry about that when the time came. For now, it was her mission to pick up all the abalone and clam shells she could find, as well as any herbs that might be useful, but really, the shells were the important bit here. Perhaps she should have brought Beru along to help her carry them? Well, too late now. Returning to the shoreline, Himawari resumed her efforts, completely unaware of her brother's presence as she passed over cowries and sand dollars in favor of larger, more bowl-like pieces to pluck up. |

He saw her, all points and fur as she dug around for plants. Completely oblivious to him. He wasn't the sort to sneak up and tug her nubby tail, as tempting as it was. Instead, he padded across the sand, stopping when he was close enough to rival his shadow. When he spoke his voice was stretched thin like a harp cord with a smug pitch, he'd fit well in Torbine with his attitude for sure.
"So you came back huh?" Sedna hadn't seemed too torn up by their absence, nor had Tojo put together a search and rescue team. They'd left on their own accord and Wari was back then Tachi assumed the same could be said for Beru. "S'it really not worth it out there??" The big wide world he meant, the lands beyond Boreas and Auster. Might as well be worlds away for how tedious it seemed to leave these shores.
