His world had come crashing down. Everything was a jumble. He had paid no heed to the journey back. Passing scenery had just been flashing images. He had decided that the first one that he would tell would be Song. She was her best friend.
It would hit him again, every so often. Like a blow to the chest with a mighty fist. The memory that she was gone. Burying her feathers, leaving the island. It was almost too painful to bear. When he stood outside of Song's den he took a deep breath. She would help him get through this. He needed a friend right now. And she was about as close as it got. Song? If you're there. I really need to talk to you Emption welled up inside his voice and he felt tears begin to prick at the side of his eyes. She had to be in.

It was not long after the meeting, still the den in which she shared with her children would be void of her missing husband. Her heart would call out for the man, her soul and body as well. She just wished to know what had happened to him, more than anything she wanted him back. She had to keep herself strong though, the pack needed her and her family as well. She had to be the strong one for them, no matter what would befall her. The she wolf would find herself within the confines of her den, Descant still very much sick beside her. She would sigh as she leaned down to nuzzle his tiny form, she would pray he would recover quickly. She couldn't bare to loose him too.?
Suddenly the voice of Magnus would flow into her den, the amount of pure emotion that it held with was enough to bring a tingle to her spine. Immediately she would know something was wrong, she would push herself to all four paws and rush to his side as he stood outside. She would see the pained tears begin to well up within his optics, something was very wrong. "Magnus? What is it? What's happened?" she would feel her hackles raise slightly, if her family was endangered she would be ready to protect them.?

Magnus experienced a very brief moment of relief when Song came out of her den. The worried expression that covered her maw showed that she understood that something was wrong. "Magnus? What is it? What's happened? A few tears began to stream down his face. Screw holding back. He didn't care what people thought about how much emotion he showed, and he knew that Song certainly wouldn't care either.
Everything else had been forgotten, the sickness that had plagued him was clearing up, but he couldn't care less about that. All that he cared about at that precise moment was the gaping hole left in his heart. More tears drew paths down his face as he began to talk, It's Aurora. S-s-he's gone Song. She's gone. his voice came out in a hoarse whisper. Strained by pain and heartbreak. what do I do Song? What do I do... Tears coated his face and there was a broken, hopeless look in his eyes. He was defeated, the fates had played their hand, and destroyed his life. Everything had come crashing down so quickly. And this time, he would never forget or fully recover. A part of him had died with her.
