W ith Mirovis officially established now and more of Lurid's wayward family coming together to build up the start of their new empire, Requiem realized one of their greatest demands would be for a formidable security force. To the other packs of Boreas, they were the newcomers, a fledgling pack with a lot to prove and a reputation to build. Some might perceive that as weakness and seek to exploit them. Others would just need to be shown what the might of the Amarix family had once been, and what it would soon be restored to. But to do that, they would need fighters with the skills and the teeth to back up their barks.
S tanding atop the deck of the old ship in the warming spring sun, Requiem had set up a sparring ring for the members of Mirovis to test their mettle against one another and prepare for the wars to come. Tipping his muzzle to the sky, the Haihefa let loose a call to summon all those who wished to hone their skills with him, or perhaps to just show off what talents they already possessed. The veteran assassin had much to offer in the ways of violent education, but this could also just be a bit of violent fun for Lurid's little collection of monsters and devils.

Morbid is settling into pack life and slowly getting to know the members of his sister’s pack. The man is out on the back deck of the ship, basking in the warmth that the spring sun offers. It is still chilly and the dark wolf absolutely loves this frigid place but a little sun never hurt anyone. He lays on his side, stretched out as far as he can with his eyes closed. Horrific daydreams swirl pleasantly in his mind and he joyful reveals in them while he drifts between awake and dreaming.
A call booms through the land, summoning all those who wish to fight. Languidly, the man allows his eyes to open. Stretching, Morbid yawns and sits up, shaking his head to clear the cobwebs that had settled in his mind during the nap. Pushing himself up, he happily trots to where the red man waits. As he draws closer, he drawls out, “Requiem”. It is greeting, simple and lazy but still, a greeting.
This assassin has always been loyal to the Amarix bloodline and he has helped Lurid the most. Well, the most outside of her family. Morbid swiftly moves to settle in front of Requiem offering a devilish smile as he asks, "Qui occidimus hodie?" A brow lifts, as a deep, dark chuckle rolls from his lips. At least all the wolves in Mirovis share the same delights.

R equiem wasn't exactly surprised to see Morbid was the first wolf to show up. When Lurid had informed him that her brother had found his way home to them, he knew the dark-furred male would want to waste no time laying waste to the peace that this boring continent had grown too used to. He greeted Morbid with a haughty grin, glad to see he had attended the training. "Morbid. Welcome home," he greeted his future brother-in-law with a respectful tip of his snout. He had always liked Morbid; the two shared a grim fascination with the macabre and the violent. He wondered if the Amarix prince would still be as friendly with him if he knew Requiem was banging his sister?
M orbid's question earned a dark laugh from the crimson brute, his argent eyes alight with mirth. Oh, he had missed the straightshooter Morbid was! "Unfortunately, no one today. We'll be doing a training session. Making sure our skills are sharpened now that they have a purpose to protect and not just kill." There were a number of power hungry wolves that would salivate over the chance to try and seize Mirovis. Until their empire was more secure, they would need to be its protectors. After some time when it became evident that no one else would be showing up, Requiem shrugged his shoulders and beckoned for Morbid to enter the arena. "Looks like it's a one-on-one today. I hope you brought your A-game, or I might be disappointed," he teased the other male, rolling his shoulders to limber himself up for a good spar. "How about a spar instead of a lesson? Unless you're afraid I'll get you on your back in ten seconds flat."

Requiem welcomes Morbid home and the dark man offers a deep chuckle that rumbles in his chest. He inclines his head in a show of thanks. Of all the assassins that the man has known, the red devil is by far his favorite. They both have dark delights and are always happy to help each other fulfill them. A smirk curls his lips as a dark laugh erupts from Req and he gives a small, disappointed snort at the man’s words. Ah well, honing their skills is an important thing for the still new Mirovis. At Requiem’s next words, his eyes flash with mirth as he rumbles, “Have you ever known me to half-ass a fight?”
A brow quirks in silent question even as a chuckle rolls out. With a nod, Morbid says, “A fight sounds good. I need a good… stretch.” Another chuckle is offered along with a smug grin before the man quickly sets his defenses, eyes sharping as his whole demeanor suddenly changes. Fighting is a serious business and, even if it is a spar, the man will not disrespect his opponent by taking this lightly. Tail snaps level with his spine as he allows Requiem a moment to prepare.
Without announcing his intent, Morbid suddenly launches himself toward the taller male. Pale eyes flash with excitement as he closes the distance, lips peeling back as his mouth begins to open. Facing a taller enemy, many would attempt to take out a leg… but not Morbid. He meets Requiem head on, front end lifting as he attempts to grapple the red male. At the same time, teeth seek to deliver a sharp, painful bite to Requiem’s shoulder, expecting the man to give just as well as he gets. If either of them leave here without bruises, than, in his mind, they have failed.

S till the cocky bastard he'd known him to be, Morbid asked if he'd ever half-assed a fight. "No, you were one of the more diligent Amarixes," he remarked, that dark smirk on his lips growing as he extrapolated, "Always seeing your work to the end." The dark-furred brute took him up on his offer for a spar, dropping into his fighting stance without missing a beat. Requiem snickered and rolled his head to stretch his neck, then with a shake dropped down to align his head with his spine, tail raised and prepared to fight.
N o sooner was he ready, Morbid kicked things off with a direct charge. Requiem smirked; ah, typical Morbid—brash and bold. Morbid closed the short distance quickly, running in to meet him head on, but the red devil had other plans in mind. Waiting until Morbid was practically on top of him and his front paws were off the ground, Requiem dropped himself down beneath the leaping Amarix wolf, deliberately allowing Morbid to land above him—meaning he was now below at his opponent's vulnerable underside. Teeth met his shoulder, but Requiem grit it and bore it as it gave him the better vantage point. Snarling from below his foe, Req used his larger size to push up into Morbid's chest and underbelly, aiming to use physics to flip the other wolf off balance, all the while snapping at the softer underbelly of his opponent with sharp fangs.

The two males have a certain… appreciation for one another and Morbid has missed the red man’s presence. Requiem’s dark smirk is matched at the talk of work and he shrugs his shoulders while easily answering, “Hmm. Yes.” He rolls the word over his tongue as he follows it with a deep, wistful chuckle. Oh, how he missed the days when they use to play together. No one was safe. Maybe they can talk a little hunting trip soon..
Mind turns back to the fight as he settles in before swiftly kicking it off by running straight at the taller male. There are many adjectives that would accurately describe Morbid and clever isn’t among of them. Never one to beat around the bush, he closes the distance and lifts his front end off the ground to try and grapple Requiem. However, the red wolf has other ideas and drops down, causing the darker male to expose his vital underside to him.
The red man shoves his weight into Morbid’s chest and underbelly while his teeth bite at his soft belly. A deep growl rolls past his lips as teeth puncture soft flesh and his tail instinctively snaps underneath to protect his exposed balls. While Req may not be aiming them, the man cannot stop his body from its natural reaction. He feels the momentum shift as his unstable stance begins to wobble.
Instead of fighting the flip, the darker male uses it, shoving himself to the side where he hits the ground and rolls before springing back up to his paws. Eyes flash dangerously as he smirks at the Requiem, enjoying their little spar. Launching himself back at Requiem, Morbid decides to keep all his paws under him this time and, instead, seeks to try and bite the tender area at the joint on the front of the red male’s shoulder. At the same time, he snakes a leg forward, seeking to hook the leg as he attempts to pull it out from underneath the man.
