His daughter’s absence through her wanderings had been noticed. Gavroche worried - Nessie had been blessed with mutations in the form of her fangs and claws but she was still so little, not much bigger than him. That morning, as the rest of his children and mate made their way out of their den, Gavroche would slip out after her. He was curious where the tiny girl was going, and what she was discovering when she was alone. His ears were perked forward, surprised to find that his daughter moved so fast… He had just left the territories that Ethne laid claim to, the thick canopy blotting out much of the light that should have covered the area. He could smell herbs, prey, and… Nessie. Hmm… finding her could be difficult here… Maybe he’d get lucky…? |
