Corvus couldn't be happier to be a father. He fully intended to dote on his children as much or as little as they needed; he'd gotten all the things in life he personally wanted and he was fully invested into spending the rest of his days making sure they and Twig were happy. Helping them grow into well-adjusted, capable adults... nothing felt more fulfilling. If anything they'd probably end up wanting a break from him, but he was very happy to bask in their puppyhood as long as they'd let him. They wouldn't want to be glued to him forever but he'd take advantage of it while he could.

Slowly he roused them from sleep, wondering who who would want to spend a little time with him this morning. It was early, the sun just beginning its ascent above the horizon, and he wouldn't be surprised if most of them wanted to stay curled up against their mother for a little while longer. "Anyone want to go on an adventure?" He whispered softly, nose burying into the soft fur of one of his pups.

Magpie was usually awake with the sun honestly, but she'd found out pretty early that it was boring to be up by yourself, not that laying here pretending to be asleep was exactly riveting, but at least it was nice and warm. Also she was still a child so she often found herself drifting back off if she stayed in the little nest of her family. Not today though, no her mind was racing through all the things she wanted to do today so it was easy to notice when her father was stirring. She went into pretend sleep then, for some reason assuming she shouldn't be awake yet. At least until she felt him nosing at them lightly, asking if anyone wanted to go on an adventure. Almost instantly Magpie was jumping to her paws. "I do!" She said too loudly, her eyes growing wide a moment later and then sheepishly shushing herself, quickly shuffling over to her father. "I do." She said in a whisper this time, looking up at him, excitement clear in her gaze and in her paws which seemed incapable of staying still.

Corvus had always been happy for what he'd been given in life; he knew things could always be worse and as he got older he found himself especially thankfully for what he had. But having children had somehow made his world even brighter, in ways he couldn't even fathom until it'd happened. In his older age he often found himself wanting to sleep in and enjoy his relaxation, but now? He had trouble doing nothing when there was so much to do with his children. He ignored the typical morning aches and pains and started to stir, happy when little Magpie roused from sleep... or pretend sleep, it seemed, judging by how quickly she jumped up.

He was grinning nearly ear to ear as she spoke, glad to spend some time with her before the rest of the pups woke up. "C'mon, let's go then!" He whispered back. No need to wake up the rest of the family, not that he wouldn't be thrilled with a whole family outing all the same. Carefully untangling himself from a pup who had rolled over into him as he tried to move, seeking his warmth, he snuck away from the den with Magpie presumably following.

Once they were out of the den and out of earshot of the rest of the family he'd speak again. "Where do you want to go? We can go anywhere," he stressed, gently nuzzling the top of her head. Of course there were some places - quite a lot of places, really - that were off-limits but Magpie's world was small. Even leaving the packlands at this point would be a great adventure to her, so he wasn't worried about disappointing her at all, though he was interested in what she would find most exciting to do.
