He was gathering up some things to take to the woods so he could test how well his idea might work. Or maybe they'd catastrophically fail, he didn't know. He had some rope, a few different bundles of bait and lures to put to the test, and..."Where did I put it..." He dug around the random assortment of supplies he had stashed in a corner of his room until he found a couple of premade stakes and - ah, that deer jerky would come in handy for a snack later! Throwing what he had in a makeshift pack, he stood and stretched out first, and then he noticed a weird stain on the ceiling. Huh...maybe he had a leak or something...he noticed a small crack there, maybe he'd patch it up tomorrow before it got worse. Pushing that away for now though, he headed out and made his way towards the nearby woods. Once there, Grim first set to tracking down a few scents, slowly following them a good bit until he caught wind of a fresher one. A caribou was still in the woods. Probably lost its herd after the others migrated. He would need help to bring it down if it was a big one, but he dared not get too close or else he'd scare it. Retreating a good distance, he dumped the contents of his sack onto the ground and set about untangling and separating what he'd need. He hadn't decided yet what to use...a snare? A pit trap? Whatever he chose, he would need more material. |
