What The Future Could Hold
Search for Raiders
Conflicted feelings overwhelmed him. No matter how jovial he felt at times now that he was leader of the ex-Pirates, he still missed having Sparrow at the helm. Gilgamesh thought about this, mulled it over in his head, as he approached the barren fields of the Battlefield. He knew this place well and had heard of other Alphas coming here to find new members. He wondered if it really worked that way or if he would potentially be ambushed. Fortunately for him, he could hold his own and he wasn’t too worried; especially with Urtur at his side and Erish fluttering in the sky above him.
Even as tumbleweeds tumbled by him and vultures picked at the dead carrion, he continued his stroll. His yellowed goat-like eyes roved over the bloodied terrain. He knew this place as if it were his second home. That large boulder, the almost dried up pond, the scraggly trees that struggled for life. Nothing really changed here other than a larger accumulation of blood drying on the rocks and cracked dirt. Gil understood why this was the place to search for new members, but couldn’t someone have picked a prettier place? Something that was easier on the eyes?
Finally, he found a rather open spot. Devoid of brush and nearly dead trees, he stood tall. With his muscles relaxed and a rather bland expression on his face, he tilted his muzzle back. Releasing an echoing howl into the air, Gil called for any and all loners who needed a place to call home. While their new abode needed some work and their alignment was rather morally grey, he felt that most enjoyed being a Pir-uh Raider. Taking a seat as he lowered his chin, he glanced around and got settled to wait for a while.
