Dgmar vs. Hati for Marquis

Poison dripping off my fangs... Luck was on her side and D?gmar's spar with N?tt ended quickly. She'd scored her mark and toppled the other femme to the ground in a successful tackle and pin. But it wasn't over yet. She still had another opponent to go through if she wanted the rank of Marquis. Some how she doubted this match would go as smoothy. Sizing up the large black male she turned to face him, stretching her limbs lightly as she got into position. "I wish you luck as well?" she said with a nod. Next victim... Mottled charcoal fur raised, hackles lacing down her back. The movements flowed so naturally to her as her shoulders rolled forward, neck scrunched back. Her head tilted slightly forward once again as ears pinned tight to her head and her maw parted. Brows furrowed while her weight shifted evenly across her limbs, her lithe and sensual muscles taut in anticipation. Legs bent, toes splayed and her tail rested in line with her spine. She was ready. Basilisk was impressed. The wolves that had come to join them were proving to be strong, and far more level-headed than he had expected. A slight smirk tugged at the corners of his lips as he slowly slunk toward the two who were to spar next. He knew Cataleya's presence was strong here, but his? He swore he saw doubt in some of their eyes as they watched him, so silent and brooding, more scarce than he ought to be among them.
And that was about to change. He drew closer to the spar, coming to recline on his haunches. Though his stance screamed dominance, head held high above his broad shoulders, there was something different about him. A cool indifference than he could not shake -- a slight gleam of annoyance ever present in his eyes. The fire, it burned within his chest, fueled by the murder of his father and the disappearance of his family for so long. A thirsty for hate that would never be quenched, only subdued. A nod was offered to Daegmar. "Good luck."

Hati Hr??vitnisson |
When the mottled gray female overturned Nott with seemingly little effort, Hati was impressed in spite of himself. Hroovitnir's children learned battled at an early age no matter which mother birthed them; Nott was no exception. She was even crazier than he was, though, so it was hard to predict her at the best of times. Well, if Nott had fallen, he was next. Though he still had no interest in leading, and with no need to prevent Nott from the position, he had no intention of turning down a fight. Not a fore-planner, Hati was still a fighter to the core and subconsciously prepared himself the moment Nott fell, his weight shifting in his crouch, going from nonchalant watcher to ready. Weight evenly balanced, though shifted toward his hindquarters for more powerful movement, spine aligned from head to tail, thick ears pinned back and eyes narrowed, with his toes flexing in the dirt for grip. The female turned toward him, smoothly speaking words of luck. Hati's lips lifted in a feral grin. "Don't need luck. You might though." With that Hati pushed off with his hindquarters, throwing his heavy body toward the smaller female, head-on, aiming to strike the sharp front of his left shoulder into her chest with all his weight. Simultaneously his neck arched around, jaws snapped toward her left leg where it met her side, hoping to gain a crushing grip and hold it as he sought to push forward with his shoulder. Hati wears a bear skull on his head unless otherwise stated in the post. He also has a ram's skull that might be switched in sometimes if he finds it again.

Poison dripping off my fangs... Oh he was a feisty one? this was going to be fun. She mimicked his grin for a moment before they got down to business. D?gmar solidified her defenses. Hackles raised, shoulders rolled forward, neck scrunched back, her head tilted down. D?gmar's whole body lowered as her limbs coiled and bent, spreading her weight evenly across her limbs. Toes splayed, ears pinned to her head as her tail aligned with her spine. The male charged and so did she. They made head on for each other though as she got closer D?gmar slipped to her right, body lowering further in a slide as her fangs sought Hati's left front leg, just below the elbow in a bid for a strong grip. Her upper jaws to the outside of his let, the lower jaws to the inner side. D?gmar's left shoulder rocketed forward, the edge of the scapula seeking the low left side of his chest where the arm connected in an attempt to sprain the limb. As she threw her weight left to swing her left shoulder forward her balance shifted across her two back legs and her left front leg allowing her to lift her right front paw as it shot forward in a sweeping motion to try and catch the back of Hati's left wrist and pull it towards her to unbalance him. Because of her movement to the right and down as she attacked, the brute's shoulder blade skimmed along the top of her left shoulder rather than her chest, loosing most of it's momentum but still striking with enough force to cause mild bruising. His jaws however she was in no position to avoid, nor had she seen them coming. Fangs ripped into her left front leg, where the base of the scapula met the upper arm causing moderate damage and tearing a quarter inch into muscle. The pain was staggering and her body tensed with the agony of it, the rush of it? the thrill of it. Oh quivering bones it had been far too long? D?gmar vs Hati For Rank of Marquis of Elysium Round: 1 of 2 Attack: charged forward as Hati did, shifted to her right as she got close. Body lowering and jaws aiming for his left arm right below the elbow. Her left shoulder is thrusting forward in an attempt to strain his left front leg by striking the groove between his arm and chest. With weight on her left to throw the shoulder she's able to lift up her right paw and send it in a scooping motion for the back of his left wrist to try and hook it and pull it towards her to unbalance him. Defenses: n/a Hackles Raised | Shoulders rolled forward | neck scrunched | head tilted slightly forward | ears pinned | jaws parted | weight evenly distributed | muscles tensed | legs bent | toes splayed | tail in line with spine Injuries: Bruising to top of left shoulder. Wide lacerations about a quarter inch deep into muscle on her left front leg where the base of the scapula connects with the upper arm. n/a ooc: Blarg! xD I was a bit out of it, let me know if you have questions! <3 |

It didn't take long for Hati's plans to go awry. The female moved to the right and dropped as they neared one another, causing his shoulder to barely skim the top of hers as his teeth tore through flesh. Already he was relinquishing what little hold he had and attempting to turn, to counteract his own momentum, but it was too little too late as he was jerked to a stop when her much lighter body slammed into him and her teeth caught in his foreleg. He grunted in pain at the impact, feeling the flesh tear under the pressure of her teeth, penetrating to nearly three quarters of an inch deep where her canines punctured his flesh, but with her jaw fastened around his leg her shoulder wasn't able to do as much damage, since her forward movement would need to contend with her grip on his leg as well - though "not as much" was relative, as the blow hurt like hell and he could feel the muscle there knot up. The two wounds together would effect his use of that leg for the duration, he knew. The blow by itself was enough to unbalance him, so when her paw scooped around to pull at bitten leg, he just let her have it, focusing instead on his other three feet. Between the blow to his chest, the grip on his leg, and his own attempt to turn back toward her, he'd ended somewhat perpendicular to her, facing the front her left shoulder at a bit of an angle. His ears were still pinned back, his eyes narrow, his teeth bared and ready. He'd shifted his weight more to the rear to balance against his lifted fore paw, spine arched a little to round himself and give him more power to his movements, his right paw taking the leftover to balance as he slid his paws slightly wider and flexed his toes into the dirt for grip. His tail was still behind him, shifting and whipping to give that extra bit of balance when needed but otherwise neutrally aligned with his spine. His chin tucked down to protect his throat, his pelt bristled and shoulders hunched forward to provide just that much more protection for his spine beneath rolls of skin and fat. So his plan hadn't worked. What the fuck ever, Hati wasn't a planner anyway. Pushing up abruptly with his hindquarters, like a compressed spring suddenly released, attempting to slide his right paw up as he did with the goal of throwing it over her shoulders to grip the smaller female to his chest. His jaws widened, snapping toward the side of her neck where it met her skull, just back from where her jaw hinged. He wanted so badly to get a grip there, amidst the fur and fat she probably had bunched up there for she was obviously no beginner, wanted so badly to squeeze what she thought was protection against her artery there until the pressure caused bloodflow to her brain to stop and she went limp. Gods he wanted that. If she still held her grip on his foreleg, he hoped the move would contort her neck, maybe prevent her from even being able to release it at all to retaliate with her jaws though he was certainly not going to count on that. It would probably hurt him like hell and cause even more damage to the leg but there was no point in being in a fight if you weren't willing to go all in. If she did release it, well... Hati just didn't plan that far ahead. Round: 2/2 Out Of Character Notes: *dies* |

ooc: sorry this is so crazy and rushed >< i scrambled to finish before the ooc mess took my muse. Haha but we're done! Good fight Tea! :3
Poison dripping off my fangs... Fangs ripped into the flesh of her opponent as she gained a solid grip on her target. Her shoulder collided with his chest but the brute redistributed his weight as her paw pulled his forward doing nothing to aid her over all attack. She moved her own weight forward as her right paw slammed to the ground in an effort to steady herself. Shit, he was still standing and now she was the one in danger. While close in height he was still heavier than her and she debated the merits of a hold, especially on a limb at this close a range. Neck or face was a no brainer but there was only so much damage she could do here. Time to move. D?gmar realigned herself, right paw now on the ground, muscles rippled and tensed as she distributed her weight evenly over her limbs. Fur and hackles raised, ears pinned, tail aligned with her spine. Eyes narrowed as she rolled her shoulders forward to help shield her neck from a counter attack with her bony scapula. Claws dug into the earth as she prepared to move, her body lowering even further as her limbs coiled beneath her. Her tail aligned with her spine, supple and ready to aid her balance. Jaws spread agape. She felt his fangs loosen on her leg and reacted quickly to make her move. D?gmar's neck scrunched back as she relinquished her hold, fangs slipping from bloodied flesh as her head rotated up to realign with her spine, her head now positioned between Hati's legs, on level with his elbows, though much closer to the left one she'd just let go of. Taut muscles became supple as her back legs uncoiled as she attempted to squeeze herself under her opponent in a risky maneuver she'd learned from another black brute on the battlefield not so long ago. As she moved she felt a leg drape over her body just behind the shoulders but this action partially raised the brutes body and slightly ease her attempt to get beneath him.Head tilted again to the right so the left side of her face was up towards the brutes chest (and probably grazing along it if he failed to move). Her jaws sought to rip in a thrashing motion into the the flesh at the base of his ribs in the space just below the sternum. Pain blossomed across her back as fangs dug half an inch into her back behind the shoulder blades, cutting through fur and flesh. This fight was getting ugly.
