OOC; I intend for this thread to be a large one, so we will keep the posting order rather loose. If someone takes a while to respond, we will skip them and they can catch up when it's convenient for them.

The High Lord of Ebony woke with a start, an ear twitching idly as a small pebble quaked beside him. He glanced in all directions, but there was no figure nearby that could have recently disturbed the curiously animated rock. He nosed it, mildly interested, as he felt the ground trembling beneath his heft. With haste he stood, fearing a sinkhole, and scampered a few yards away. The ground continued to rumble, as if something were boiling just beneath the surface. The waves of motion came faster and faster, and the earth groaned with a sickening sound. Paws beat the earth feverishly as he ran without any purpose except to escape whatever demons were causing such a fuss. He let out a howl of alarm, but did not remain within pack borders. He knew not what direction he was headed, nor did he care. He only meant to get as far away from this place as he could. It would be then that the earth roared a mighty roar, opening up it's great maw to him and swallowing him whole. He fell down, ten feet - maybe more and began to roll end over end. He cried out as he finally came to a halt, an eerie blue glow gleaming through the opaque skin of his eyelids. He blinked once, twice, thrice before breathing a sigh of relief. The glow grew brighter as his eyes adjusted to the light, revealing tens of hundreds of mushrooms, each one giving off a phosphorescent glow. "Hello?" he queried without the strength to stand or properly gather his bearings. "Speech."

It had happened all so fast. One moment, the rogue girl had been traversing the lands on her way to nowhere. All she knew was that she had been drinking from a small bed of water, and then the ground below began to shake. Her heart had pounded, her breath quickening, and then a loud crack of splintering wood jarred her as a tree came crashing down beside her. Panic stricken, the girl had run as turmoil and chaos was unleashed around her. Her legs carried her as far and as fast as she could, all the while gaps in the earth began to tear apart before her eyes, and debris began to crackle as the earth was rent asunder. She began to believe that she would not make it, that whatever monsters were tearing through the ground would swallow her up. And oh how right she would be. It was then that the ground would open up, breaking with every step she took. With a cry of panic, she would fall through, tumbling in the realms of the unknown. A silent yelp escaped parted lips, the girl seemingly falling in an unending pit of darkness. She knew not which way was up nor which way was down, all she knew as she fell was the feelings of rock and debris pelting her body as she tumbled. She could feel the rocks scraping at her face, and finally she would hit the ground in a crumpled heap on her left side. Lids closed as she remained in the darkness. However, it would not last longer then a few seconds, though it seemed like eternity to her. For all around her the echo of rockfall could be heard, pebbles and smaller rocks falling all around her. Another tremble heaved the earth, and slowly she would lift her head to blink open her eyes, attempting to gather in her surroundings. And yet, before she could...something horrible would befall her, for the earth was not yet done with her. Before she knew it, the sounds of rumbling would grow louder, and as her heart quickened its pace into the similar poundings of a horses hooves, a great weight and pain would shoot up from her rear. A boulder would fall atop her tail, and the girl screamed in pain. Talk like this

The young Black had felt an earthquake before during his travels. It wasn't too rare for the earth to tremble for a moment or two, but after that it was over - a tremor at best - it was barely enough to really worry him. What was happening now though? The shaking beneath his feet that made it hard to even stand? This was nothing that he had ever felt before. Concord would struggle to stay on his feet, his heart beating loud enough to be heard in his ears - he couldn't get caught up in this! His thoughts immediately went to his twin, he had to meet up with her, he had to find her - they had come to Alacritia together to find the rest of the Legion but somehow the two of them had gotten seperated, lost in these vast lands. And now he was running from a violent quake, only to yelp when the ground dissolved beneath him - but with the realization he would immediately fall - hitting the ground with a thump - but thankfully nothing would be broken.


For a moment he would black out - shock and pain enough to render him motionless, speechless. Slowly afterward he would crack his eyes open, there were rocks everywhere, dirt and pebbles all over his slategrey coat. He... didn't seem to be alone, a red male seemed to be nearby. Concord would groan, looking around the area that he had fallen in, there were glowing mushrooms everywhere - something that he would find quite curious if he weren't stuck in a hole with bruises all over his body. His left shoulder and left side of his body were definitely bruised from the straight fall through the ground - but he knew that he was lucky that nothing had broken on the way down. Slowly he would try to get onto his feet - only to shoot straight up when he heard another wolf scream. Once he was standing, the pain was jarring, and he would wince as he tried to take a step toward the other - a fiery colored girl... was she related to the red man?


"Miss, Miss what..." He would trail off, looking over her body - she was a little girl, no more than seven or eight months old give or take, and... there was a huge boulder stuck on her tail. He would immediately go to the rock and try and shove it off - but even if he wasn't bruised the efforts would be useless. It was simply too big to move off of her - he and the other male that had fallen in with them would have to think of something else.

His head was still reeling when he lifted it just enough to spot the red and white woman as she toppled into the pit he'd found himself in. No light followed her, though she was quickly enveloped by the blue-purple glow given off by the mushrooms. A third fell into the abyss, a male as black as night. The only indication of his presence was thanks to his eyes of green. Maverick groaned, feeling his hip sting with pain as he struggled to stand. It wouldn't bare his weight, so his right hind limb curled up protectively near his belly. He wavered on his paws, watching the other male try in vain to roll the boulder from atop the young girl's tail. Maverick had not a clue how to help, especially with only three good legs. Still, the High Lord hobbled toward the pair. "I don't think it will move," he uttered, though it wasn't truly necessary to voice the already known truth. "Is there any way you can wriggle free?" he queried of the lass, hoping there might be enough room for her to draw her tail out from under the boulder. If there wasn't, drastic measures would be required. "Try your hardest, or else..." he trailed off, unwilling to frighten her without due cause. There had to be a better way. She had to be able to escape, or else they had to think of something. If they could not, the girl would lose her tail - and either he or the unknown male would have to remove it for her. He doubted she could reach it on her own. "Speech."
