When given her new rank of overseerer the silver babe knew she had taken on a new sense of responsibility within Glaciem, and it pleased her to have finally gotten some recognition for her hard work. Not only would she be required to provide food for the pack, but now she was expected to be a leader, someone the lower ranking members could look up to and seek advice from when necessary. She would need to step up her game and create a substantial difference within the pack, a positive one of course- and where better to start than with the youth? With the sudden disappearances and drop in members this season she could only assume that the youth had been neglected, and hadn't been receiving the proper training Isardis expected them to receive. Did they even know how to fend for themselves, how to treat an injury, or how to hunt and properly work together? Was all hope lost for the Glaciem castaways? These were the thoughts that burdened the maiden's mind as she came to a sudden halt, her charcoal bodice concealed from the suns rays beneath a canopy of towering pines. Today she would call them together, and she would being to train them in the subjects she seemed to excel in- hunting, and team work. Her skull would tilt backward as a call left her ebony lips, a summon for all the bloods and children under the age of two. She would peer into the forest as she awaited their arrival, her nostrils quivering as the faint scent of an elk herd toyed with her inner blood lust. She expected them all to show, and those who did not would be dealt with personally. If they did not wish to learn than they had no place within Glaciem- it was as simple as that.

OOC: Anyone with a wolf under the age of two is expected to post in this thread! I don't have a set dead line, but I will be posting again roughly around April 7th, a week from now!

Things had certainly changed in Glaciem - though he wondered if it were for the better or worse. It seemed every day now someone was calling him for something, and truthfully he was growing a bit weary of it all. Still, it was nice to be wanted - and so he would hasten to the call despite the uncertainty he still had about it. ?Overseer,? he chided as he came near to the silver and black woman. She was pretty, and for a moment he found his juvenile eyes roving over her frame. He knew this wasn't Eris, for he had met her before, so this must be Liberty - the one his mother wasn't overly fond of. As loyal as he was to his dame, he saw no need to dislike Liberty, and so he offered her a dip of his head and a quick swish of his tail in greeting. ?What's this about?? he queried, rightfully curious about the situation. Haunches dipped low to kiss the earth and remain there until instructed otherwise. He had a feeling he wasn't the only one meant to attend, and so he figured it would be a while until everyone showed up.

He was lagging lately, in everything. No one had seen him much, and more or less he had fallen victim to the ill thoughts of misery plaguing him with what was left of his family. He felt no love towards his mother, and his siblings, they were gone. Vereux didn't know where didn't know when or how they went, but they were not here. If they were, they were making quick haste to avoid him and probably left with the others who were allowed. It left a pit of rage in the back of his heart cavity, but it also left him the thoughts of trying to get connected with new family. There was no use worrying over family that did not care. The one eyed boy was too prideful to think about crying anymore. Nearly a year old, it was time he listened to what his uncle Etern had told him, that he was better off building his own path with those who were loyal until he was old enough to stay on his own.
Tall lengthy limbs would pull him across towards where Liberty was. The other one there was Kyarst his half sibling and the Glaciem favorite. While Ver had never spoken to him directly, he had a deep respect for the boy in the hopes he'd make a good leader. He and Jigsaw for that matter, the scarred boy smiled as Kyarst spoke before turning towards Liberty and giving a dip of his head out of respect. "Greetings Liberty, it's a nice day isn't it?" While one of the far less formal of the Armada's Vereux was starting to not give a crap what he acted like as long as it didn't place his family in a shameful spot. He let his haunches meet with the ground dipping his head towards Kyarst.

ooc: jumping the gun a bit since it's autumn tomorrow xD

Drashiel strolled back into Glaciem. He'd finally stepped outside of the packs main territory, not far, but just enough to begin to comprehend the vastness of the north. A glimpse to see what part Glaciem played in the whole of Alacritis. Not just within itself. He had plans to see the battlefield next, to find an opponent and improve his sparring. There was only so much that could be done here in Glaciem.

A call rang out and Drashiel's head turned gracefully to the side. He was at last a yearling now and a distinctive power and elegance was beginning to drape itself around the boy. Autumn was slinking itself across Alacritis and the idea of a hunt sounded exceptionally good. He just hoped this one might fare better than his last.

Peridot eyes scanned the terra as he approached the, as of yet small gathering. Drashiel grinned as he saw Kyarst. "Hey!" He chirped in greeting before giving a nod of respect toward Liberty as well as Vereux, whom he'd met briefly at the warrior training.

Lysis would trail behind Drashiel without hesitation. A call had been ushered for the youngest of the Armadas, and though she was unsure what the meeting was for, she was unwilling to miss it. Lately it seemed she was rarely far behind her brother, and she seemed quite drawn to her half-brother Kyarst as well. Rapidly the babe would lift her head to the sky, and begin to navigate towards the call.

As she drew near to the small gathering, she would slide effortlessly between the two boys, casting a glance to Vereaux. Gingerly she would lean to rest her head on Drashiel's shoulder, a happy sigh slipping from her lips. "What's this all about, brother?" the child would inquire gently, truly curious.

Kyarst, her half-brother and closest friend, is allowed in any and all of her threads.

She would rise yet again after another call. It wasnt to long ago since the small meeting for the bloods and juveniles took place where they got to pick there desired role. S'alkrie was all to excited for the actual training to begin, and could only hope her mentor would be someone she knew a lot about. Her shoulders would roll back, and though the sun was painted high within the sky, the youth would still show. It began as an irritation impossible to overcome, which was why she had secluded herself tight within her den. But now it was only slightly more bearable. A sigh would fall of her loose lips, sucking it up and deciding to join and find out what was going on. Her paws would kiss the ground beneath her while she moves left to right, until her ruby gaze falls upon the gathering. What was happening today? Eager to find out, S'alkrie would seat herself and hope it would occupy her time.

Talvi had come to acknowledge the fact it seemed her family were no longer present figures in Glaciem, all apart from Vereux and she was rather determined to attempt to form some sort of relationship with him now, as he was the only family she knew of currently in her life. She'd have to make a better effort to fit into the pack as well, there certainly wasn't some huge ego making her feel she deserved better, such characters had after all been mentioned at the meeting. She was nearing a year of age now though, and it probably was about time she tried to make something of herself.

The call sounded for the bloods and young of the pack and this time Talvi was fairly swift to divert her current path and head towards the sound. The typical hesitance had gone now. Whether or not she was an Armada, she was a member of Glaciem and now she was nearing adulthood it was time to start acting like she belonged here.

Upon arriving, Talvi wasn't surprised to see that Vereux was the only of her siblings present. She moved forwards quietly and took a seat beside him. She briefly gave him a soft smile in silent greeting and then cast her attention to Liberty to await further information about this little meeting. She figured it would be another lesson, though what for the blue and silver girl had no idea.

She would watch them arrive one by one, making a mental note to check off those off who had come, and to speak with those who had not. All but four younglings would arrive, and the overseer would remain silent as they all approached her, only responding with a nod of acknowledgment to each of them. She did not want to explain this ten times over. Once they had gathered around her she would clear her throat before speaking, her eyes glancing from face to face. "Greetings young ones, for those of you who do not know I am Liberty, an overseer within Glaciem." She would begin as she shifted her weight from left to right, her tail coiling against her agile bodice as she looked out over her meager crowd. "It is a shame that Kyung, Athena, Irune, and Kuvio could not attend- they are going to miss out on their first arranged hunt." She hoped those words would bring out some excitement in the pups, what child wouldn't enjoy hunting down prey with their close relatives and friends? She would rise from her haunches, her skull raised dominantly toward the heavens as she peered down at them, her brow furrowing as a smirk creased her lips. "Are you guys ready? We've got to track em first- who knows how long it could take." She would motion them to follow her now as they would begin their journey deeper into the mile high woods where the deer herd lay.

Although she hadn't hesitated on this occasion, it seemed that she had still arrived only just in time. Shortly after her arrival Liberty introduced herself, an act that was beneficial to Talvi. She was a little uneducated on the names of many of the older members within the pack and assumed that likewise she probably wasn't as familiar with them as some of the other children of the pack. She listed a few names, though once more they meant little to the silver and blue girl, she had only officially met Kyung before.

She cared little about who the absent members were though, instead focussing upon Liberty's words. Once she may have dreamed she would be at this point with her mother and litter mates, their very first lesson back on the island was so long ago now though that she almost wondered sometimes if she had simply imagined it. All the same though the words did fuel the girl with excitement. Though this wasn't the sort of training she had opted to focus on, there was no denying the use of it and the sign that this surely meant they were all growing up more, able to start putting themselves to use.

As Liberty would begin to move and encourage them to follow, Talvi didn't even wait for her brother as she rose and began to obey, walking silently along behind her and certainly intrigued as to what they might learn today. She had hunted before of course, to various outcomes from good to awful though it had only ever really been on her own. This new experience would hopefully be as interesting and exciting as Liberty had tried to make it sound.

Athena had hardly had time to settle back into life in Glaciem when she heard a call go out, bringing forth her and all of the other younger members of the pack. She couldn't recognize the voice that called them, but she wasn't too surprised by that. She had been gone quite a while after all. No matter, she figured she ought to go. She had rejoined to be an active part of this pack and she would see to it that it would happen.

With a tired sigh she turned and padded toward the call, not at all in a hurry to arrive. When she did, her eyes instantly went to Vereux. She hadn't been back long enough to find her siblings, but it seemed that this meeting would do it for her. Of course, she was sure that most if not all of these young wolves were her relative in some way, but only Vereux was her littermate. She padded over to him, standing side by side with him and giving her brother a smirk before turning her attention toward the multi-hued woman that was apparently leading this gathering. "I haven't arrived too late have I?" she asked, giving her a small smile.

Pain would give in a little to a sharp short stifled growl towards his sister. He felt no need to be near her, but at the same time she was the only one he had left. So in this decision he decided to ignore her completely his attention fully turned towards liberty the overseer as she spoke. Vereux was no longer a warrior his rank had dropped immensely, as such hunting with the other nearly stood out as a joke, but he was happy. Though he would note of it besides a small smile. And then picking up pace to follow liberty, he hoped to hurry and get as close as possible to her, for reasons he had his own.
Vereux would not say any words, too concentrated now. His ears would perk, nose keeping track of the most important things. And not relying too much on his poor eyesight of one eye regardless if he had long since gotten used to it. Paws pulling him forwards, he felt energized if not ready for the kill. Anything to distract him from the odd thoughts that were haunting him.

The woman introduced herself as Liberty an overseer of Glaciem and she quickl outlined the details of the hunt. They would first begin with tracking. Drashiel nodded and began to scent the earth. From his time spent tree-climbing he knew there was a deer trail not far from there and he quickly followed behind Liberty as they began to journey along it. Drashiel kept silent but alert. Ears forward, nose cycling the air he paused next to a pile of deer droppings and bent down to investigate those as well. Fresh! "Liberty, fresh droppings. How do we tell which way to go?"

Today they would hunt, it seemed! Lysis watched with interested eyes as more wolves trickled in. She recognized S'alkrie, as well as Talvi and Vereux, though Athena was less familiar. She found herself gazing at Athena for a long moment, trying to remember who her mother was. Even the siblings she had not spoken to directly, she had seen, and she knew they were kin. Perhaps she ought to spend more time with some of them, she mused to herself. But then again -- just because they were blood, did not mean she would enjoy their company. She hardly imagined many of her siblings would be as pleasant to spend time with as Kyrast and Drashiel, but she would never known until she tried.

She was happy to follow Liberty's lead. The woman knew what she was doing, and her confidence radiated through the group of youngsters. Before long, she found herself loping alongside the others, her gait relaxed but alert, ears perked on top of her head and her nose held slightly toward the earth, searching for a scent that might stand out from the others.

To his dismay he would not receive much acknowledgement of his statement, just a simple nod. Typical. He huffed to himself, though it was hardly audible, and managed to hold back his curiosity until Liberty addressed them all as a group. It seemed they were going on a hunt. The young lad felt adrenaline begin to course through his veins at the mere thought of shedding blood, and as the youths fell into line he too joined the fray. He fell in somewhere behind Lysis, with Drashiel at the head of the group. He thought to charge forward and join his older half-sibling, but decided against overexerting himself. Drashiel soon alerted them to the location of deer droppings, which only meant the herd must be close. Ashen nose twitched as he drew in the musky scent of the hooved creatures. ?That way,? he breathed, pointing his bodice in the direction the scent had come from. ?Shouldn't we have a plan?? he voiced skeptically, as Liberty so far had given them few tips on how to be successful.

The children would follow her lead without protest, each of them seeming rather excited about the hunt they were about to partake in. Just in time Athena, another of Isardis's children, would show up just as the group would being to dissapear into the towering pines. She would give the child a nod of approval before turning her azure eyes back on the trail, audits perked atop her skull as she pinpointed the location of the herd. "We must all remain veeeerrryyy quiet, or we risk spooking them out of the territory. Remember to keep yourself downwind as well, because the wind will carry your scent straight to them." She would comment with a hushed voice before Drashiel would speak aloud, informing her and the group of the fresh deer droppings he had already found. "Very good Drashiel. Children, gather around and check these out. Study it until it is recognizable, because droppings are a sure sign that your prey is not very far- along with the hoof prints beside it." She would crane her neck downward so that her nostrils would hover inches over the scat and prints, wanting the children to mimic her actions and examine their first clue with interest.

She would raise her skull upward again, her brows furrowing slightly as she looked down at the youngsters, hoping they were all getting a kick out of this lesson. "We tell which way to go by following their hoof prints, scent, and trail of scat they left behind." Kyarst would be the first pup to indicate the direction of the heard, and Liberty would glance at him with a pleased smile. "Very good Kyarst, and yes, we do need a plan. The heard is not very far from here, and if we want a successful kill, we will need to work together." Her azure eyes would bounce from face to face as she said this, hoping none of them would protest about having to work together on this. "We will be separating into two groups: the chasers, and the ambushers. You will all have the chance to help out with the kill, but we need to separate one from the herd first." She would state as she examined each pup, already separating them into groups in her head based on size and age.

"Vereux, Kyarst, Talvi, and myself will work together to initiate the chase. Athena, Drashiel, Lysis, and S'alkrie, you four will work together to create the ambush. Us chasers will stalk the herd, which should be toward the heart of the pines by now. You four will travel to the northern border of the pines, and we will select a deer and chase it toward you. It will be your job to hide and ambush the prey, ensuring it does not run past you or across the borders. Once we have completely separated it from its herd and have initiated the ambush, we will go for the kill. Are there any questions?" She would explain the plan as thoroughly as she felt necessary, lengthy tail flicking out behind her as she waited for any questions they might have.

Athena was a little taken aback by her brother's reaction, but she wouldn't have time to dwell on it. They were moving forward, following Liberty through the forest as the younger pups around her began to pipe up with comments about the deer that they were apparently tracking. Shooting one last glance toward her brother she drifted off from him, moving to the other side of the group.

The silver girl had to bite her tongue to hold back a chuckle that threatened to escape as she watched the Overseer demonstrate examining the droppings that had been pointed out. Of course, looking and scenting droppings and tracks was a very basic part of finding prey, but something about watching the older fea do it in this over exaggerated way cracked Athena up.

Liberty would go on to split them into groups, pairing her with Darashiel, Lysis, and S'alkrie. Her ruby and emerald gaze drifted around to her three partners for the day as Liberty explained what they would be doing. She didn't really know any of them so it should be interesting to see how they would work together on this hunt. She also didn't know what to expect of their skills which concerned her a bit. Oh well, it wasn't like they were starving and desperate for this meal or anything. "Sounds easy enough," she replied, smirking as she turned and trotted off toward the far side of the Pines, where Liberty had instructed them to go to, making sure to steer clear of where the deer were to keep from scaring them off. She didn't know if the others would follow her or hang back and ask questions, but she figured they could follow her scent to find her if they did.

Finally she had sense enough to give them a plan. Only after he'd suggested it. He smirked at this thought, but kept it to himself. He wasn't large enough to defend his own sarcasm just yet. He would be one of the chasers, together they would pick out the target and chase it toward the ambushers. A smile flickered across his lips as this hunt finally became a reality to him. She then said that once they had chased their target off, they would initiate the kill. Kyarst's eyes brimmed with excitement. He fell in line beside Liberty, unwilling to let himself fall by the wayside or be forgotten. His tail elongated, flicking back and forth eagerly, whilst his head fell into line with his spine. As he prepared himself, he mentally began to pray that his lungs would hold up during the chase. If they had to run too far or long he would lose his breath, but if the kill was made swiftly he would be able to hold himself together. A single emerald eye flicked to the silver-hued Overseer. ?Ready,? he chided under his breath, to let her know that he was prepared and eager to get this hunt underway.

Drashiel Armada

Drashiel watched at Kyarst sniffed at the droppings before picking a direction. The older boy nodded, it sounded good to him. Rust-stained ears flicked forward as he listened for the hunting plans. They were to be divided into two groups and Drashiel was listed to be in the ambush. He grinned, while he'd prefer chasing he was excited to be paired with his sister and S'alkrie. He didn't know much of Athena but she was pretty and seemed nice enough.

"No, let's get started." Drashiel took off in the direction of the northern pines where they would lie in wait. He didn't pause, knowing the girls would be along swiftly. As they climbed along the edge of the pines he spotted the herd grazing in the plains. The wind seemed to be favoring the ambushers this day which meant it wouldn't take long for the scent of the chashers to startle the deer. Drashiel picked up the pace and took it upon himself to settle farthest to the east, allowing the faes to take up position behind him as they saw fit. He had no idea what sort of spacing they'd need but this felt right. Slipping in behind a fallen tree his muscles tensed, fur on end as he waited with baited breath for the prey.

Once the placid babe had arrived she had remmained much more quiet then the rest. But she was still just as keen to listen as the others gathered. Once everyone had arrived Liberty would begin, telling them all who they where working with and the task. She was happy to be working with Drashiel, though she knew little of the other two. Perhaps after they could all meet up, but for now she had no interest in chit chatting. Her mood was rather unusual as of late. Once everyone was ready to begin everyone would go to their positions. So with little hesitation s'alkrie would pace quickly across the floor, walking across the invisible borderline before crouching slightly. limbs coiled, loose like hinges so that she would find it easier and quicker to sprint in any direction. Her frame would be hidden by a single bush, hoping that was enough for the prey to not get to alarmed or notice their precense. Her crown would turn towards all of her partners, before readying herself for the attack. They where close, all the signs where clear but it was up to all of the youths to work together to take down their first ever kill.

Talvi would pause as Liberty did, paying attention to her words and the words of her peers. With the droppings aiding them in finding their direction, now all that was left was the plan and the Overseer was quick to assign them with one. She was getting better at knowing who her fellow Bloods and could at least recognise the majority of them with ease now, however it was certainly Veruex, Athena her half-siblings that she remained closest, not that it really meant much given the lack of bonds formed with the rest.

She would be in a group with at least one of her siblings though it seemed, working as a chaser with Liberty, Vereux and Kyarst. She would shake her head in response to Liberty, she had no questions and was quite eager to start now and as the group began to split, she would silently follow Liberty.
