Test Subject #1 (Physical Assessment)

Some older wolves who might have remembered a certain extended night might have been more wary. But Hag was neither old enough nor particularly tuned in enough to really carry that sort of anxiety anyways. She had noticed things were different from the first few days of life but mostly seemed focused on the slight chill in the air over the strange night sky. Far as she knew that was normal. One of the things she had noticed was that something seemed to be crawling around on other animals more. She'd managed to trap a mouse one night and had watched in quiet, eerie fascination as little insects swarmed its fur. She hadn't managed to catch or kill any of them before she'd, accidentally, killed the mouse. What she really needed was a guinea pig. Someone who'd let her slather them in whatever mixture of junk, useful or not, she could think of. But they needed to have the bugs, or some sort of bugs, on them. Probably wouldn't actually be that hard to find considering the proclivities of some of the members of Insomnia (rolling around in dead things just wasn't that sanitary) but Hag didn't really know much yet so while she gathered up a bunch of things: Herbs, small animal carcases, a few larger dead insects she'd managed not to squish and a few rocks she could use to mash everything together and set out on a quest to find a test subject she didn't actually know if she'd find one. Honestly the hardest part was probably just that she was out and about during daylight hours and the bright sun wasn't kind on her eyes or skin. WC: 281 (281/1500) "Speech" |
