Dance with the Dead

They are nomadic, traveling often and never staying in one place for long. Although they may pledge themselves to a pack, it truly doesn't matter - the living are almost dead to them, for everyone dies in the end. Their whispered words can not always be believed, and they are slow to trust, just as they can not be trusted.


It is the dead that they take the time to acknowledge, sharing in stories of the deceased and singing songs to them, about them, filling the night air with their chilling voices until the sun breaks through the darkness and morning falls once more.


These wolves often come together on full moons and moonless nights. They believe the dead are the most restless on these nights. They are said to be lonely on moonless nights, and dance when the moon is full.


They have been known to "haunt" a living creature when they become particularly loyal. It's similar to what some wolves would call a friend or even a mate, as it's the closest thing to love that they feel other than the deep bond they have with family. They look after the wolf they haunt, often becoming protective and even possessive.


There are many gods and goddesses that they are aware of, and even worship. The goddess of night, Nyx. The god of the dead, Thanatos. More rarely the goddess of the moon, Hecate is recognized as well.

They are wolves consisting of either white or black coats. It's rare that they are a mixture of the two, or are mottled or timber in appearance.


The four youngest consist of - Eidolon, Apparition, Poltergeist, and Specter. They are litter mates, and as of right now are all 2 years old. Genders are debatable.


Their parents are Revenant(father) and Wraith(mother).
They are 4+ years old.


Revenant's brother is Daemon, and Wraith's sister is Ethereal.
They are 3+ years old.



Other members of the family may be created (aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, ect.), but shoot me a PM or post here if you decide to make one (: Their names may consist of anything 'ghost' like, or generally known to be related to the spirit world or the undead.
