The slate woman has been busy scouting and making sure that Bent Canyon was up to par for the pack, something that helped the time pass as well. It wasn't too hard, and there was much storage and shelter within these canyon walls. Carnation pools darting from out crops to the walls and the nooks and crannies and by far Mae wasn't one to just sit around and do nothing, no there were jobs that needed to be tended too. Taking notes of were the storages could be stored as well as furs and maybe some other things. The woman wasn't in no rush so thank goodness for that. She was able to take breaks as needed. Scents of others were fading from this territory and honestly she was thankful for that. The pack didn't need any trouble from others. Especially since they were still a new banded pack. Widow had hopes and dreams that Mae understood for the most part, but also wondered what more she wished of her pack. A smile crossing her maw as ears swiveled upon her cranium. Her tail swaying behind her as taking a step up onto one of the ledges, there laid a mouth of a deeper cavern, a prime area to store some other things the pack would possibly need. A shiver coarsed over the ladys bodice as eyes continued to survey the land.

It was high time he left the shelter of the woods to explore the other territory his mother had claimed for Hellborn. He preferred his solitude, but knew he couldn't keep to himself forever. Especially not for the profession he wanted to eventually take on. There was still a ways to go yet, he knew, but in the meantime, perhaps a better, more suitable place where he might be able to store his collection of herbs. The yearling made his way through the canyon on silent paws, golden gaze noting each nook and cranny that lay within the sides of the walls and the many cavern mouths that littered the rest of it. He followed along the riverside for a minute or two, wondering if there might be any herbs that grew beside it during the Spring and Summer months. The water level seemed high, though he wasn't sure. This season seemed unbearably wet and he had noticed flooding for the most part since coming to Auster, so he wasn't sure if this was usually the norm, or if it was just an unusually wet season.
Deciding it was safer to go higher and away from the swollen river, he carefully climbed the steep slope, focused more on where he was placing his feet rather than where he was going. Or who he was going into. Before he realized it, he practically walked right into someone else, causing him to back peddle. "Sorry, I should've been watching where I was going!" His ears fell back in embarrassment, wishing for once that the earth would just open up and swallow him.
The sounds of birds taking flight caused a smile to tear across the slate womans lips while watermellon hued eyes watch the feathered friends, ebony freckled pillars carrying the woman across the rocks, obsidian ears twist at different sounds that echo out across the walls. Mae had needed and wanted to make sure this area was secure and well maintained. It gave her something to do.
Although the slopes were steep they also leveled out in places, all the while she had continued to hear the clicking of nails upon the rocks also, almost silent like her own. Feeling the bump she turned to see another who appeared dressed like herself but striking yellow pools, and markings that resembled the Queens.
He spoke as he back peddled. Stating that he was sorry. "No harm done, so no foul. And it's hard to watch were one could be going with slopes like these I will say." Mae offered the other a smile. "I'm Mae, who might you be?" The woman asked softly as eyes look down towards the waters then back to him. "And especially with how fast the waters moving, got to watch your steps. I think one of these openings lead back closer to the woods. Instead of going all the way to the peaks and turning around."
