She had been patrolling the border in the morning before making her way on over to the nearby woods. It was more sheltered there, hopefully less water running through unlike at the falls. What with the wet season, there was far more water running down the rocks, making things slippery and potentially dangerous if they weren't careful. The young bear squelched her way over the ground, noting it was pretty wet here too, but at least there was some respite with how close the canopy grew together. She could hear the rain pelting the leaves above, dripping steadily down as it slowly, but surely, engulfed the forest floor. This was where her father, Gavroche, had died. But even despite that memory, it was as if his spirit lingered. When it wasn't raining, it was...quiet. Peaceful. She felt at ease here. A break from the constant drumming of the falls where she lived. "Speak"

The tall grasses within the glade had begun to bend with the moisture of the season. Everything was wet wet wet. Alexa didn't mind much though. She was hopping through the tufts of wet grass after a frog. Her earliest memories had been water and frogs croaking in the evenings. This place was her favorite. It was out of pack bounds, yes but no one taught her that it wasn't very wise to wander at her age. She always felt safest when she was alone. No one to judge or sneer at her every move or sound. No one pushed her around, and everyone in Polaris was kind! Except for her brother. That's who she was generally hiding from all the time anyway.

The foliage rustled and swayed, her ears caught the sounds of a large creature entering the cathedral. She sank down into the grass, inching a sliver of the green said to peer over the fronds. Oh! It was a big white bear with blue marks! She knew who that was!
Why was Saga all the way out here? Oh nooo was she in trouble? Or did Copper do something? Was Dad calling her? She shrank back into the grass, her stark white and purple fur hardly camouflaging her in the middle of the grove of trees.



Speech/Thoughts

She had come out her to think and find some peace and quiet. Perhaps even some alone time, but she supposed moments like that were few and far in between when you were the leader of a pack. It was a shame really, but she had been the one to offer to take over for the time being. At least until things calmed down and her sister was ready to take over once more. When that would be was beyond either of them, and all she really cared about was that her sister got better for herself more than anything. As she looked around, she spotted a strange color among the greenery. Well, that didn't look like it belonged there! Nostrils flared as she took in the scent, and she realized it was one of the pups. "Are you playing hide and seek?" She asked, remaining where she was and giving the pup the opportunity to come out of hiding.

Saga noticed her! She sank further into the greenery as she heard the bear snuffle the air. Her question startled her though enough to perk her mismatched ears.

"Oh... not...not really." Unsure of what to say, she wasn't really playing hide and seek with anyone, how does one play that? She lifted herself up on her legs and looked up to Saga, tilting her head askew.

"I guess I'm hiding... Whats seeking? How do you play?" Her brother and her never really... played... much at all. No, their games usually ended up with her crying in pain or running away from him, or just plain hiding from him for as long as possible.


Speech/Thoughts

She wasn't sure what it was, but the yearling looked...unsure? Afraid? Her words certainly didn't sound very confident in the slightest, so when she stood up from her hiding spot, Saga approached closer with a warm smile in the hopes of easing the girl. "You've never played hide and seek?" She asked in surprise. Wasn't that something all young cubs...er, pups...played? She remembered playing it quite a bit when she was a cub herself, and the fact that there were so many younger wolves in the pack, she was surprised this one hadn't played the game at all! "Hide and seek is a game. You need at least two to play. One closes their eyes and counts to say...ten or so, and the others go and do their best to hide! When all of the hiders are found, then they are out, and the seeker wins. But if the seeker can't find the last hider, and declares that they give up, then the hiders win. At least that's how I played it as a cub, but there are a few ways to play it, too! Like one where Tag is a part of it as well!" She hoped she had explained it well enough and that she understood.
