Quote:The wind was a tangible, living thing that pushed against the earth, soothing and guiding as it followed its unruly path against the soft colours of the early morning. Pulsing against his fur and purring against the tips of his ears stirring him from sleep and bringing him from his dreams and into day. He sighed softly as his warm breath broke the dull chill of the morning air and stretched out his stiff limbs. From there he rose and shook the sleep from his coat. It was his second day in these lands and of course he had barely touched the lives of the wolves that thrived here, to know and understand them.

The pulse of memories never quite left him, and his once-free heart ached for the creatures of his past. He knew he had been born to wonder to see and learn, to travel and to teach but he had spent so many years of contentment in a land he had grown to love and respect it had been a difficult path to rediscover his vagabond ways, Illaira, Lakota, Flash, Kite and Eureka where only some of the names he carried in his heart. He sighed once again and tucked the past away deep in his heart, in order to freshly see the day.

After rising and finishing the buried remains of last night?s dinner he continued further into the land, his soft paws making little noise against the cool earth as the sun began to warm the day, he had only a small part of the land committed to memory so far and it would be a long journey until he knew every part of it and the names and alliances of the wolves that took home here, but it was a job he took pride in doing, so long as the wind pushed against his further, urging him ever forward.

Take me to the place where the white boys dance.

?owyn's dark tawny fur lightly brushed against trees as she walked towards the bay front. She had been staying close to home since the scare that Birch had been through when she had gotten close to the Ebony borders. She took a deep breathe as she took in the different wolf scents. Birch, Ellis, Aranya, Pharos, Ian and herself. Not to mention the fact that there would be more once she delivered her pups. That would not be for a while though. It would probably set off Birch's defensive and protective side on her. It was awesome to her that he cared so much about her to be so protective.

Take me to the place where they run and play

Quote:A disturbance in the wind broke the Lupin from his revere, and the large brute found himself pausing, an ebony nose raised to the wind. He caught the scent of a fae somewhere in the distance by the bay front, where the wind pushed against the water and brought the scent of her mixed with the salt of the sea. He could catch the heavy aroma of hormones that accompanied a creature in the state of pregnancy. He could also taste on the wind, although mild and faint, the scent of other wolves. He perked his ears in curiosity, had he intruded upon the lands of a pack? But no, he caught no trace of a packs scent marking here.

Curiosity aroused the old wolf made his way towards the warm aroma of the other, not pausing until the timber wolf was within his line of sight, and he within hers. He wasn?t far from her at this point, not close enough to startle but easily within voicing distance without the need to shout or cry out. It was here that he seated his rump against the earth and lolled his tongue past his fangs to taste the sharpness of the sea that carried on the wind.
?Greetings stranger, I?m not intruding am I??
His voice was soft, but strong in the air as he tilted his head ever so slightly to the side and waited for the other to reply.
