Insomnia was looking to expand their lands and it was Enki’s job to take a small group of wolves out to scout the land where the willows rest. The heat is unbearable during the height of the day so the pale pink man raises just before the sun raises and calls for those who wish to help him scout. Once the group has gathered, they strike out to the nearby land while he lays out the plan, “Okay gang, we might be expanding to this place. I want you all to take a quick look around and report back with some positive things that the topography here might offer us.” As they cross to where the willow’s wait, Enki signals for them all to spread out before he moves further in and seats himself on the ground. He had done some scouting beforehand and made a couple mental notes, so he waits for the party to make their own findings and report back to him.

Haven woken early with Enki, Tazzy followed along beside him as they traveled to the Willows. Medusa wanted to expand into this territory and he couldn't blame her - the willows were lovely, completely with a pond. After kissing his boyfriend on the cheek softly, he set off to examine the pond. He'd always been curious about it and the creatures inside. The water was clear enough to see the fish swimming above, even some tadpoles were hovering around the waters edge. It was all really interesting to him, so it was easy to hyperfocus on the still water.

Various plants grew around the edge also, but Tazzy was no healer and couldn't identify them. Cattails, he knew about however, but the rest were simply just plants. In case anything was dangerous, he took a mental note of them and returned his studies to the water. Larger fish swam in the deeper portions, seldom coming up to the surface unless a bug landed. He couldn't really identify them either, but recognized their patterns from the stores. Clearly, someone had been fishing here before.

With plenty of mental notes, Tazzy broke away from the pond and returned to Enki with a smile on his face. Deciding to wait on the others to return before speaking, he saddled up next to his boyfriend and leaned into him gently.

They were expanding to the nearby willows. A place that would bode well for the pack once they laid their claim. He had no idea who Enki was considering he had only recently returned home, but he would do what was requested, but only because the guy was of higher rank than him. The Grim Shadow stalked along with the group, crimson gaze darting every which way as he took in the sight of the willows, deciding where it was he wanted to explore first. He waited impatiently for Enki to release them to start investigating, and as soon as they were allowed, he skittered off to the other side of the pond.

He sniffed around the edge of the pond first, noting the different plants that grew along its edges, creeping along the ground, the cattails that leaned over the water. The sound of ducks, doves, and crickets and frogs could be heard. The occasional dull splash of a fish retreating to deeper water. Turning away from it, he spotted what looked like a hollowed out space at the base of one willow, and as he investigated it, it seemed like it had been dug out by some other animal. Hmmm....new dens, perhaps? It seemed like whatever used to occupy it, hadn't been here in some time. The only scent left behind was earthy and musty. Laughing, he slipped back out and made his way back to Enki, fur bristling with excitement at the discovery.

Word of potentially expanding the pack had been going around. A good idea if he had anything to say about it. After all, with the arrival of him and his siblings, the pack was practically bursting at the seams. They were certainly going to need more room, else the pack might struggle for resources...and that wouldn't be good for them at all. He followed The Daemon and a couple of others to the nearby willows, glacial blue eyes fixed on the male as they were instructed to take a look around. Alright, sounded easy enough!

He started by going to one side of the pond as he studied its surface. Frogs leaped off of their lily pads and into the water at the splotched wolf's approach, bugs skittering across its surface. This place would certainly do well to provide the pack with not only water, but adequate food if they liked to fish. Not only that, but it seemed ducks, geese, and other waterfowl frequented the place judging by the old nests he spotted among the willows and cattails. Turning away from the water, he noted the different herbs that grew among the roots of the willows. Perfect for healers, too, he supposed.

"Speech"

Bright blue eyes watch the small party break off to explore and Enki shoots Tazzy a bright grin as his boyfriend departs. He makes sure to keep track the other two. Grim, one of Medusa and that red guy’s kids, seems impatient with the whole idea of being here and he knows that life will either teach him patience or the youth will grow angry with the way things are. Either way, the pale pink man makes a mental note to keep track of him for future reference.

Turning his attention to the monochrome man known as Kronos, he watches the male’s progress as he inspects things. Tazzy returns to where Enki sits and he pats the grass next to him, opening the space for his boyfriend to join him. Once the colorful man is settled, he calls the other two men back to where he waits and, once they have gathered, he asks, “So, now that you have had a chance to explore a little, what do you think are some pros this place could offer if Insomnia expanded out this way?”

Lapsing into silence, Enki cocks a brow and waits to hear their observations.

Moving to sit next to Enki once his boyfriend offered him the spot, he couldn't help but lean into him a bit while waiting for the others to return. Wondering if he could get him alone after this little scouting mission, he almost missed Enki's question regarding the pros of moving here. "There's plenty of fish in the pond, not to mention the ample supply of fresh water and plants that grow around it. There's much more life than the dancefloor and the gorge combined," he said with a light laugh before turning to see who else had an answer and what they had found. Certainly the willows had more to offer, but even if not, it would be a worthy place to expand into regardless.
