Alaric had made his way towards the hot springs in a simple mission: relax. He wanted peace and to relax. Lugging behind him were his two Cane Corsos, Maul and Cinder. When the trio arrived at the Hot springs, Alaric studied the steamy pools. He was trying to decide which one would be the right depth to submerge himself in. Once he found the right one, he dipped his black toes in before stepping in fully. He could reach the bottom of the pool easily, but the water still cover all the way to his back. He relaxed, allowing his body to be at ease and not always so on guard. Maul and Cinder were close by, watching their companion closely in cause trouble came brewing.

he had a calmer resort in mind-, coming to travel towards the sound of bubbling water. he went to the hot springs, the scent of sulfur high in the air as vapor was sent wafting up. it beckoned his tense, sore muscles. and when he grew closer to his destination, he smelt alaric there first. not one to shy away from confrontation, Érebos took on a guarded nature in case the other wanted some more of a fight this time around. his two hawks flying just above him as he trotted closer & closer until alaric came into full view- seen to be relaxing in a pool all to himself. secured by their dogs, Érebos chuffed to notify alaric of his presence as he came to a slow halt. "I'm only here to unwind. I won't start trouble if you don't first." his voice was stern and rigid against the foggy scenery-, his eyes analyzing the trio before him as he remained tall & still near the edge of another nearby pool.
after awaiting for a reply, Érebos would be bold enough to venture into alaric's own pool- slowly stepping into it with eyes glued on alaric, a part of him slightly distrustful of them especially while so close; after all, his body remembering the aggression they usual had when so close to one another. on the opposite side of alaric, Érebos allowed himself to seep further in, a sigh exiting his maw at the change of temperature. after shuffling some of his weight, Érebos settled. "Alaric. Can't say I'm angry to bump into you today." he jested casually, letting a brief chuckle slip past his maw. while their relationship proved to be one full of risk & danger, Érebos couldn't deny the odd closure of familiarity these two had conjured up over time. a routine, if you will. often times sparring together throughout the months. was a bad friend such a thing to appreciate, anyways? the thought left him partially smiling.

The two cane corsos Maul and Cinder were the first to notice Erebos's presence. They announced it with guarded snarling and hackles raising as they threatened to get to their paws. Alaric shot them a small glare. "Not now, you two." He warned them sternly, watching as they settled back down into their positions. Alaric's gaze moved over to Erebos, who stepped into his hot spring pool. There was a mix of feelings bubbling in the Warmaw. Yet, he allowed it without protest. "I can't say I am anger either." He replied somewhat casually, keeping a watchful yet relaxed gaze on the man. He listened to the chuckle of Erebos, studied the half smile, and decided to relax a bit further. Alaric cleared his throat, trying to shoot away the awkwardness he felt at this nonviolent encounter. He never was a people person. "A days rest is always appreciated." He tried to make small talk, as awkward as it was.
