Sagittarius didn't care for the changing in the seasons, not like some of the others seemed to enjoy it. First it was the down right heat, the terrible - terrible heat that seemed to drain everyone of their energy and spirits. Then the events around Boreas had happened. Threatened them all. She was surprised that she had made it out of the area's alive in all honesty. She had found herself wandering the ravine a lot lately, a sancuary for the raiders. An area she had come to love and know since newborn, the moment she and her siblings had been allowed to leave the den.
'Tarius just hasn't been feeling herself. A bit down many could say. Ears twisted upon her cranium as she found a shaded spot. And slumped down, her tail curling tightly against her, as a shiver crawled along her spinal region. She didn't know what she was feeling, it was all new. The mostly happy go lucky pup was down right stressed, and possible depression was setting into her mind.
Looking up to a few birds that sang and flocked within the tree tops and the branches, her bright yellow eyes appeared to be dull, a plop of her head landing upon her front legs as a chipmunk scurried around. Stopping every now and again to watch the soon to be yearling. Why was growing up so hard? Sure, she enjoyed being a little one, but on the other hand there was something missing. Something that she needed to fullfil with in her journey of life.
Maybe it was depression caused by stress that the little one had felt. That she has been building up and not talking about. But Sagittarius known she needed to understand what was causing her to feel the way she was beginning too. Was it her fault that she was like this or was the poor girl just down right stressed out about everything that seemed to be happening around her? It was like none of them could ever catch a break. And a break is something that the ebony and scarlet hued pup needed. Just some time to enjoy life before she had to grow up and become an adult.
Everything seemed to be changing so quickly around Sagittarius she didn't know what to truly expect next. What was the next story in her book going to be like? Was she making her family proud by doing what she felt like she had too... or were they all ashamed of her?

Change was not a good thing for Pythia. She would take many things in stride, but change always set her off kilter for a day or so. Adjusting to the transition from Spring to Summer had been easy enough, but now that the temperatures were dipping and rain increased, the transition from Summer to Autumn was not taking to the blind girl nearly as well. If she were being honest, it sucked. Paths that she knew were always there were now covered by fallen, crunchy leaves. Leaves that were far too loud. And then there was the issue with the animals. With Winter on the horizon, they were in a frenzy to prepare. Add on top of all of that the danger that seemed impending for everyone (not that it was easy for her to acknowledge due to her lack of sight), she did feel the tremors. Had felt the shaking before anyone else. Knew it was coming, but had no idea exactly what it was.
Fear lingered along the edges of her eyes, as vague as they were, and she did not like it. Didn't enjoy the unease that trickled through her body. How her heart sped up a little bit faster. Every unknown sound made her spin, ears flattening and twisting, scruff bunching, ready to defend herself. Most times, it was just another pack member, one of her mother's companions, or an animal wandering by, but it still put her on edge. Stress. It would make her die a death faster than her blindness.
Yet, she attempted to hide it from everyone else. She was fine. They were fine. Everything was fine. Admitting that something was indeed wrong was accepting the fact that it needed to be fixed, and she didn't want to fix it. Not yet at least. Let the creep wailing wind and shaking depths subside first then she could adjust to the change in the season. Maybe, hopefully.
Releasing a whooshing breath, on her inhale, the scent of her sister reaches her. Along with that familiar scent, a tinge of the same stress that she felt muddled in her own head. Concern for her sister washes over her and Pythia moves into action. Hurrying as fast as her paws can take her over the rock strewn path, she approaches Sagittarius with a quiet 'woof' before seeking her out with her pale nose.
When her nose can seek out her sister effectively, she slides her body along Sagittarius' and comes to rest her cheek against her sister's. A silent signal that she was there for her and could rely on her for an open ear. But they would do something else first.
"Let us meditate. It will help," Pythia murmurs to her sister before peeling away, coming to sit primly and properly as she always did.

Sagittarius was there in silence, her yellow eyes closed as her sides rose and lowered with every single breath she drew in. A comfort seemed to draw over her as she scented Pythia drawing closer to Sagittarius. She didn't need to open her eyes to feel that of her sister's nose brush against her cheek, the two siblings were silent for a moment as Pythia's wise words drifted forth. "Meditation seems to not want to work for me. My mind has been so unquiet."
Pythia was wise beyond her years. Knowing a lot about many different things, which caused the sister to rise up. Maybe some time and meditation with her sister would help. "I'll give it another try." She smiled, although the fear of coming months washed over her, she wouldn't allow her sister to sense it. Although knowing that Pythia may have already. Maybe this time things wouldn't fail.
Failure was only within the mind. Sagittarius known that but always tried to push herself to be better. The crimson and ebony star kissed girl rose to her front paws, lifting her chest up as she drew a long breath within her lungs. Remembering words from her sister she allowed her eyes to close over, drawing another deep breath and slowly exhaling.
Sagittarius wasn't as elegant as her sibling but enjoyed the company of the blind sister. She felt closer with her than the others. They all had their own favorite sibling and sure enough - Pythia was Sagittarius's. Being just around her had helped begin to calm that of her mind from racing. Her heart began to slow down as she felt the earth below her, allowing her paws to sink into the soft earth.
