Welp. He had gotten caught. Oh well, Mother had told him that it coulda been a possibility. Did he mind? Nah. He hadn't really been this far North up until he had taken on the mission to try and scout, and now here he was! All he knew really was that he had been claimed into this pack for the time being. No doubt Insomnia would come for him soon. Or maybe not. He didn't care either way. To him, this was a chance to explore new things and see how this pack ticked. What kinda beasties lived here. Maybe glean some information and all that crap if he cared to (but eh, he didn't really care to if he was being honest.)
He sat on his rump, back against a scraggly pine as he he smacked his lips, his unsettling gaze darting every which way as he tried to decide what to do or...what there was to do. The lands smelled like there were a ton of wolves here, and yet...things seemed quiet around these parts. Or maybe he was just not that in tune with shit, fuck if he knew. Yawning loudly, all he knew was that he was bored as fuck. He glanced around at the scraggly pines for a moment, the morning sun drifting lazily through their unimpressive branches. The ground was lightly dusted with snow, but not as much as he imagined there would be. Was that because of that unbearably hot summer they had just had? Rolling his shoulders, he listened to the world around him, the echo of birds in the trees. Ravens in the air. Hawks...all manner of things. All probably the eyes and ears of the wolves that lived here maybe.
What to do...what to do...

Aresenn loped through the sparse pines, his paws crunching lightly on the thin crust of snow. His russet fur rippled over taut muscles as he moved with purpose, orange eyes scanning the territory with unwavering focus. A foreign scent suddenly caught his attention, causing him to slow his stride. The notes of the unfamiliar wolf's scent seemed to indicate it was a newly acquired Sidi. The ownership of slaves never appealed to Aresenn- though it was clearly a big part of the Saxe heritage. He generally chose not to take heed to any of it.
But even still, his curiosity was piqued. Aresenn followed his nose, weaving between the clusters of pines until he spotted the obsidian brute lounging against one of the trees- older than a yearling, but not quite a man. The stranger's unkempt fur and restless crimson eyes gave him a wild, unpredictable look that immediately set Aresenn on edge. He approached with purpose, muscles coiled and ready to react at a moment's notice in the event he had to assert himself
"You there," Aresenn called out, his deep voice carrying an air of authority. "Identify yourself." He halted a short distance from the other wolf, studying him with a critical gaze.
"Aresenn Praetor"
