She would be wary upon entering these lands, a vast expanse of tall grasses that would at times even larger than Celeste. Paws moved carefully along the edge, copper gaze running over the field, spotting a few trees here and there. Rumor was it one could get lost during this season when entering the tall grasses, and she for one did not want to become one of those people. So she would remain need the edges, that way she could easily find her way out should she become bored with the place or run into trouble she can't handle. With a deep breath she would enter, tail swinging slowly behind her, head held high. This patch of grass came up to her chest, but within minutes she would practically be swimming in the stuff. Nose sniffed the air, she had to be careful.

As always on she travelled. Emer didn't often stay put in one place for too long. To be honest she wasn't entirely sure why, no matter where she went or what she did she ran the usual risks of life as a rogue wolf. Perhaps she was hoping to eventually discover a place she could call home, could finally relax in though it had been a rather long time since she had felt completely calm, felt like the wolf that she had once been. She was ok in general, but it wasn't the same as being happy.

Her wanderings occasionally had the habit of bringing her across the path of other wolves, though it wasn't very often, in fact not at all that she had come across a pup. She paused now in her movements upon spotting one in the grass ahead of her, it wasn't a very young child, in fact it wouldn't be long before she was bigger than Emer, not that it was an overly difficult feat really. All the same, it struck her as a little odd that the child would be out here alone. Curious and certainly wishing to ensure the young girl was alright, Emer pressed onwards, far less nervous than she typically was upon meeting strangers.

It seemed to take no time before somebody was on Celeste, the tall grasses bending and scratching from the summer heat. An ear would twitch at the other movement nearby, continuing to move forward a few more steps before suddenly twisting around to face the stranger. Immediately her defenses would go up, going from cautious to suspicious and ready to pounce. Tail was held up and poofed out, hackles bristling, lips pulled back with a low growl, legs spreading out evenly beneath her body and ears back. ?Who are you?!? She demanded, taking a careful step back. Being outside Seracia's land the girl was vulnerable, but just because she was a pup didn't mean she would roll over onto her back at strangers. She would hold her ground.

While waiting for the woman to answer, Celeste would look her up and down. The woman was a mixture of browns, put together in a way that made her look pretty. What the child would really notice however was her size, very small for an older wolf. Perhaps she wasn't threatening... but then again, if you were small, you kind of had to have an attitude to keep others a distance. Either way Celeste had to show she wouldn't be weak, wouldn't just run away when the chance was there.

It was somewhat a surprise to Emer as the pup sharply turned around, her hackles raising as she let out a growl. "Who are you?"! Truth be told she wasn't sure whether she was pleased or not by this display, of course it was good to see that although alone the girl wasn't entirely naive and wouldn't simply trust any stranger. All the same though, as Emer knew herself you didn't need to be aggressive to be wary of others.

"Please, relax. I'm not going hurt you. I just wanted to make sure you were ok out here on your own." Her words were genuine, spoken with honesty though a part of her had a feeling that the pup probably wouldn't believe her just like that. As long as she didn't try to attack, Emer certainly didn't feel like fighting anyone, let alone a pup. "My name is Emer Lasair. Are you lost child?" Clearly she had a bit of an attitude, though hopefully wouldn't be offended by this fact, Emer had nothing else to call the girl though and was a little more concerned with ensuring the child's safety than bothering with introductions. For all she knew there were worried parents somewhere looking for their pup.

The stranger told Celeste to relax, that only made her gaze narrow. The woman just wanted to make sure she was okay out here on her own. The child wasn't sure if she should feel grateful that she felt worry for her being on her own, or annoyed because the wolf thought she was weak and vulnerable without an adult nearby. She wouldn't show either however, just hold her stance and stare at the rogue. One could always lie, give a false impression in order to get close enough to make a move. The child would be careful.

Emer Lasair, an odd name but interesting. Lost child... Head would rise, the child part not needed, even though she was well aware that she was one. Some of her aggressiveness would simmer down, hackles resting, ears moving forward. ?My parents won't come looking for me, if that's what your thinking.? Voice monotonous. The only one that would come looking for her was Finiarel or her Queen, Destruction... other than that Celeste's parents were well away from here, probably starting a new family over in Ebony.

Clearing her throat, the young girl would look off to the side. ?Celeste... Mathias-Adravendi.? If she gave her full name, would the woman possibly have met her parents at some point, possibly crossed paths? She doubted the idea but you never knew what could happen. Tail would lower to hang between her hind legs, brows coming together as she began to think about her parents and older siblings.

The pup was calming now, although certainly still wary, though the hackles had lowered a little Emer could see that there was still no sign of trust in the young girl's gaze. She of course didn't blame her, for once she was on the receiving end of some cautious behaviour. "My parents won't come looking for me, if that's what your thinking" Came the somewhat cold response that could only leave Emer wondering what had happened to the girl's parents. She wasn't sure whether or not to ask, surely there was someone somewhere that was worried about the child?

"Celeste... Mathias-Adravendi" Her introduction Emer realised, now she had something else to call her other than 'child'. There was no sign of recognition that crossed her face though. The surname meant nothing to Emer, despite having once met an Adravendi she had never heard that surname spoken nor Mathias and she certainly hadn't met Maverick or Chrysanthe.

"Well you seem to be able to look after yourself Celeste" She commented, the girl after all still hadn't dropped her caution. Emer had made sure to keep her distance from her, close enough to speak though certainly not enough for either wolf to easily reach the other. "You must have someone worrying about you though?" She could smell the scent of a pack upon her, though not familiar enough with each of the packs she couldn't even hazard a guess at which one Celeste belonged to.

?Thanks...? Celeste wasn't too sure if she should say it, but felt like she should at least say something for the woman commenting on her reaction to meeting a stranger. She was happy that Emer kept her distance though, made her less threatening, allowing space between them in case somebody were to make a move. And if the she wolf did lunge, Celeste could easily lose her in the tall grass... and probably get herself stuck there for some time. Head would turn back to the woman, but she would still be wary.

Now she was asking if someone would be worrying. ?Possibly.? She took a step to the side, keeping her gaze on the woman. The only people she could really think about that would worry about her was her brother, Finiarel, but he most likely thought she was exploring again. The other being Destruction, but the girl mostly thoght she would only worry because she was the Queen, even though Celeste would have liked to think of her as a friend.

Perking up, the girl would clear her throat, holding her head and tail high but not in arrogance. "I will return soon though, so he doesn't worry." Yes, she couldn't just leave him behind, he was the only family she had left now, the location of her older siblings unknown and parents in another part of the lands that she had no idea the location of nor cared. "Just needed some air... time away from home." She wouldn't give away too much information, just enough for the woman to know she wasn't out here to cause trouble, just needed some time away from home.

Someone counting Emer as potentially threatening was a rather strange and entertaining concept to the girl. Fortunately she could read thoughts, for laughing right now probably wouldn't help Celeste warm up at all and perhaps would only drive the young girl to act even colder towards her. All she really wanted to do was help if she could, at the very least make sure that Celeste was ok before either of them moved on.

She didn't offer too much information yet again, and Emer thought for a moment she would have to press Celeste once again to try get her to speak a little more. At last though she mentioned returning home, though she didn't say where home actually was. She wouldn't press for that information, she imagined it wasn't too far away if the young girl planned on heading back soon. Not overly familiar with the packs though she couldn't guess which one Celeste might be from. "Alright." Emer stated with a small nod of her head. "I can leave you alone now if you want" As she had already stated, she'd simply wanted to make sure the younger girl was alright. If she wanted some air, a stranger's company probably wasn't something that she particularly wanted, Emer would completely understand if Celeste told her to leave now.

Few words would be spoken from Emer, and even less from Celeste. The young girl would simply look to the woman, giving a small nod of her head when she spoke of leaving the child for now. ?Yeah... thanks.? Quiet, she would look away for a brief moment before turning back and giving a dip of her head. With that Celeste was off, moving through the tall grass in the direction of Seracia. She would not return however, the aging girl would roam closer to the pack lands, not wanting to deal with any strangers even if the one she had just met was decently nice.

There wasn't much hesitation before Celeste spoke once more, quick to decide her response to Emer's offer. "Yeah... thanks." Emer couldn't really blame the girl, her own nerves were hardly better though it didn't often occur to her how sympathetic others possibly felt when they truly wished her no harm. It wasn't a lesson that was going to change her forever, though it was certainly a new realisation.

"Goodbye." She called as the young girl began to turn and make her way through the grass. Choosing not to alarm her any further, Emer changed her own direction and departed as well.
