Her steps fell silent on the moss-padded ground. Darkness was no stranger to her, it embraced her as an old companion. Often finding comfort in the things others feared. Her eyes gleamed faintly, reflecting the blues and purples that glowed from the mushrooms surrounding her.

Her prehensile tail moved behind her. As she approached a cluster of glowing fungi she carefully dropped the basket that was being held by her tail. Movements precise and careful. She paused before the mushrooms, tilting her head as she studied their beauty. The light from their caps played over her dark coat, lending her an otherworldly aura.

If she had cared for such things she would have thought she looked quite pretty.

With deliberate care, Adelinda extended her tail, its movements precise. She used it to delicately pluck a mushroom from its place. Avoiding the spores that puffed into the air. Her tail coiled around the stem gently as she harvested from this place.

She hummed to herself, singing a song of her thoughts. The echo of her soft voice echoing in a melodic but eery way throughout the cavern, "These hold secrets, the balance of beauty and danger." she hummed.

She placed the mushroom into the basket, her tail pulling a cloth over it. The cloth was woven of material to protect her from the toxin and trap the spores from escaping. The witch continued in the darkness, humming and even singing a hauntingly sweet song as she went. The process was almost meditative as though she was no just harvesting the mushrooms but the very essence and power of the cavern into herself.

She even spoke to the mushrooms, for her intuition told her kindness was power and to show reverence in a place like this.

She would not leave until she had gathered enough, not just for her craft but to figure out any stories these mushrooms wished to tell her.
