also feel free to respond only when you have muse. I could not wait to post this xD you can say he just happened upon her or maybe he heard her challenge and followed her scent? idk.

It had been her covetous paws that had thieved the metaphorical crown from atop the russet-kissed ex-sovereign's skull, granting her with the means to establish her very own empire, and yet, the banshee could not deny the vacancy that devoured and wracked her interior. Her undying ambition had obtained her the one thing she had yearned for and strived for even during her youth -- the one thing her mother had treated as a necessity in life -- but even still, with the world and its power within her grasp, the pallid queen would find an astounding lack of satisfaction. The victory over Valhalla's former superior had been one to celebrate and to gloat over with her kin, but beneath the overwhelming and delightful sensation of supremacy was the underlying and dreadful sense of emptiness at the commemoration of her many losses in life, and so the conflicted paladin would abandon the urge to immediately seek out the poor souls of her broken family in favor of momentary solitude where she would hope to regather her own sense of self and direction.

Willowy limbs carried the dazed tyrant from the premises of the battlefield, leading her towards her mother's grave in a trance-like state as her facial wounds continued to weep, tainting the innocent hue of her countenance with macabre decor. The lacerations upon her cheek stung in the heat of the summer air, and yet, the wraith could hardly regard her physical impairments when the scars upon her blackened heart ran much deeper as they reopened and bled so profusely and relentlessly all over her, staining her very being with uncontainable emotion. The wraith was so pathetic as she crumbled under the influence of a great sorrow that she had been so reluctant to unleash until that very moment, but as she unleashed her pain in trickles, they soon grew into streams and then floods, and then the banshee was hardly the idealistic daughter her mother had always hoped for -- she was a mess, not a stoic and powerful sovereign that the gods would kneel before.

She staggered into her mother's burial site but it would not be the ice queen's face that the wraith would envision -- not alone -- no; she had lost her father too, a father that she had been bred to detest, but she understood now that he had not sought her out so long ago in spite of her mother. Perhaps he had cared for her, perhaps he had strived to make a difference in her life and the life of her brothers, but it was too late for that now -- she was forever influenced by her mother's vindictive demeanor and he was dead. Her mother was dead just as the stability of her family was dead unless she could manage to revitalize it; but it seemed an impossible feat now with her family's numbers deteriorating. She had thought she had the support of Codeine and yet he had not shown to portray it at her challenge, and two of her younger half-siblings had gone amiss; had they met with a terrible fate too? "Are we destined for greatness?" the wraith whispered hoarsely, the first time she had ever questioned her mother's beliefs. The words sounded so bitter -- so foreign -- upon her own tongue, and yet she could not stop herself from spitting them. "Or are we meant to fail..." her voice trailed off and she swallowed hard, wanting to maintain a hold upon herself without much luck.

Ares was a boy no longer, his body was over a year old but his mind had shot light years ahead of any physical growth. After the abrupt end to both of his parents the male had become incredibly quiet. He would avoid other wolves on purpose, and it had come to the point that the bleached brute had even distanced himself from the only love he'd ever known. He knew that Devya would have noticed his missing presence, he certainly missed hers, but after his own jaws had taken the life of his mother something within him changed drastically. He did not feel accomplished for taking his mothers life, and he felt at a loss with out his father there beside him. Devya was his only constant, and he couldn't help but to think that he was not worthy of her. Not anymore.
His tired feet would carry him into the lands of Alacritia, where exactly he would end up was still very much uncertain. He would only realize he was heading to his old home when a familiar scent would wrap itself around his muzzle as his eyes grew slightly wider. As far as he had known his sister had succumb to the ice kings reign, he found it odd that she would bring herself back to the volcano of their birth. But, he had taken a glimpse of Morphine's body being ushered towards the place. Maybe it was time for him to pay his respects as well.

Slowly he would follow the scent trail of his once kin, he smelled fresh blood and had to wonder what it was she might be up to. Once they had been inseparable, but now they could not even call the other family. He had done the unthinkable, and in return he had become outcast. One with out a family. So the loner would not so swiftly seek out the girl, for what he still did not know.
He found her, exactly where he would have Invisioned Morphine's last resting place. His quiet paws would not disturb the wraith who stood before the Queen's grave. Her bitter words would flow through his ears before he was able to make himself known. She didn't have to be dead, just as their father didn't have to suffer the fate she gave him. It was too late for thoughts such as that however, the here and now were much different than what he could have hoped.?"Destiny is a lie. Destiny is a cop out, you have to work for greatness or accept failure." He wasn't sure where the words had slipped from, but he was sure after his quiet introduction she would know he was there. And that he had heard her questioning thoughts. His body would remain calm and neutral as he watched what she would do. Half expecting a she devil to turn around and destroy him, much like he thought he deserved.?
