To say that Talvi was still getting used to life in Glaciem was an understatement. Life had all too suddenly grown more confusing for the young girl and she still wasn't entirely sure what to make of it all. Her family hadn't spent quite as much time together, apparently though it seemed a little more scary here than their isolated island home had been, the four children were allowed a little more freedom. Once more she was at least making the most of that, exploring the different areas that she had been told she could go to.

She had found her way to the marble wash now, rather surprised and a little glad actually with how quiet it was. Scents suggested it wasn't as frequently visited as various other parts of the land right now and she couldn't currently see anyone else around either. Most of the wolves here were still complete strangers to her, her mother on the other hand seemed to have settled in very swiftly, Talvi would go as far to say it was perhaps even the best she had seen her mother look for quite some time now.

Venturing closer to the dip within the ground, Talvi's eyes grew a little wide at the pretty swirl of patterns that danced across the ground. The North had certainly presented an entirely different world to the girl, it'd take a while to fully get used to it but all the same she found herself some what fascinated by the rocks here, so different to the crumbling ruins she'd started her life surrounded by.

Lysis Armada had been to the marble wash before, with one of her half-brothers -- and here she was again. This time, however, there was no sign of the dark-furred boy named Kyarst, nor his strange penguin companion. In fact, she saw no one at all as she gazed about her surroundings. Happily condemned to solitude for the time being, she would begin to venture into the valley, content to feel the smooth stones against the pads of her paws. The stone here was so pretty; she hadn't quite noticed how colorful the wash was, but the sun overhead gave her a perfect view. Swirls of grey and white all around her, delighting her vision and bringing a slow wag to the child's tail. Her pace would slow as she ventured further toward the bottom of the basin, finding it alarmingly easy to lose her footing on the slick marble.

The scent of another suddenly became obvious. It smelled only faintly of family -- of Glaciem. It was not her parents, nor a sibling that she knew. Nose would wrinkle and twitch as she tested it, turning her head to search for the source. A girl stood on the edge of the basin, and she found her after a long moment of search. Her eyes grew wide as she examined her. It was no one she knew, but she seemed to be from Glaciem. Hm. "Hello?" the child would call out to her pack-mate, wondering if she would join her.

The silver and blue girl had been very content with what she thought was her moment of isolation, aside from the fact that her siblings were not currently present, if she closed her eyes and ignored the scents and cold she could have almost pretended she was back on Daager Isle once more. This place wasn't too bad really, the prettiness of the wash after all was something that Talvi couldn't deny but everything was just still so strange.

"Hello?" The voice suddenly spoke up, rapidly drawing Talvi's attention to the fact that she was no longer alone. Head lifted from looking at the marbled rock and to look towards the wolf that was approaching her. She had been quick to realise it wasn't one of her siblings, well maybe one of her new ones, Vereux it seemed was her brother after all and he probably had brothers and sisters of his own. "Hello." She responded, her tone surprisingly calm, especially given that she was still far from comfortable with her surroundings.

Already Lysis was beginning to grow into a true Armada; strikingly confident and without fear. Her naivety could not be ignored, though, and was illustrated by the way she cocked her head ever-so-slightly to the side in true curiosity at the other girl's presence. Surely she would want to visit with her, right? Why would she not want to? Though the stranger seemed surprised to find another nearby, she greeted her politely and did not seem like she was about to flee.

Slowly she would take a few steps closer, precariously perching on a bend of marble that rose higher near the side of the basin. "Are you an Armada?" She would ask quickly. It seemed strange, to not know one's whole family, but Lysis had been scarce due to her illness, and her family was larger than most. She'd seen most of her half-siblings, but who knew what other family she could have? "I am Lysis Armada," she would explain matter-of-factly, dipping her head as a smile graced the child's lips. "My parents are Isardis and Euphrosyne."

What Talvi would grown into was yet to be fully discovered really, her life had taken a drastic turn of events very recently after all, there surely couldn't be too many pups in her situation, there were apparently plenty of pups roaming around in this pack and that had been the standard life for them, as far as she was aware none had lived the life of a rogue at all. She had a lot to learn about the pack and the world, the new knowledge would most definitely help to shape her. Perhaps she would be a true Armada yet.

For now though, Talvi didn't really know what an Armada was and now was her turn to be rather curious and more than a little confused. "Are you an Armada?" Was this some sort of thing that she had to learn whilst living within a pack, what exactly was the alternative anyway? "What's an Armada?" She questioned, it was after all the only way she was likely to receive some of the answers she wished for.

"I am Lysis Armada, My parents are Isardis and Euphrosyne." So she was an Armada, that still didn't exactly explain things to the younger girl. All the same she would be polite and introduce herself to the other. "I'm Talvi. My mother is Argent." She had no idea who her father was, a single parent was an entirely normal concept in her mind, she hadn't thought at all about the lack of an adult male in her and her siblings lives, not knowing that anything was missing. Even now that Lysis had mentioned that she had two parents, Talvi didn't think to question her life.

She was the picture-perfect child as she waited for the other girl's response; head tiltted slightly, a small smile painting her features. Being rude was not very lady-like, even if she wanted to be say whatever she wanted to sometimes. "I guess you aren't, then," she mused aloud with a gentle giggle. "My family. We are Armadas. Do you have a surname?" It seemed strange that she did not mention it to her, but Lysis had little idea what this girl's upbringing had been like. Surely she had not been born here? But it was a detail she easily could have missed, having been quite frail as a child and often too unwell to leave her mother's den.

She was not sure who the girl was, but she smelled familiar enough to warrant the child's attention for the time being. Argent was the girl's mother... Argent... the name was familiar, but not overly so. "Anyway, it's nice to meet you, Talvi." Truthfully, the girl could use some companions other than her siblings, and she would not complain at the opportunity to spend time with a peer of hers. "Come, let's explore," she offered -- more, demanded -- rather quickly. There was no reason for the girl to deny the offer, and she would be quite pleased if she went along with it.

"I guess you aren't, then. My family. We are Armadas. Do you have a surname?" The answer that Lysis gave sort of explained things for Talvi, there were still a few questions that raced through her mind, the first she knew was perhaps a little rude. If the Armadas were Lysis' family, how come she didn't know them all? Talvi herself didn't know all of her family after all, it recently had been discovered that she had more siblings. Fortunately she had silenced herself with that thought and simply shook her head slightly in response to the question. "No, at least I don't think so." Whatever a surname was anyway, that Armada name she guessed. As far as she was aware, she was just Talvi.

The whole family concept was of course far more confusing than the girl was aware of. She could potentially be an Armada, the blood was there after all. Aunt and niece off on an exploration of the pack lands. Such extensions to the family were completely unknown to the girl though, even if she knew her entire parentage she wouldn't have been able to make the association that Lysis was her aunt. A possible friend would have to do then, not that Talvi had ever really had a friend before. "Come, let's explore," There certainly wasn't a reason to deny the offer, she had been exploring herself after all and maybe it wouldn't be so bad to venture with someone who knew things a little better than her. Lysis certainly seemed to know more, and she suspected she probably knew her way around the lands better too. "OK" She agreed simply.

It was interesting to meet new wolves in her pack, even if they were not directly related. Of course, Lysis didn't understand the link between herself and the girl -- she was merely a child in the pack, not one of her brothers or sisters. Just another child. Talvi replied that she didn't think she was related, and Lysis would simply shrug in response. What a shame. Though she wasn't quite sure why she cared so much in the first place.

The girl seemed willing to follow her, and the young child felt a slight surge of pride in her chest at how quickly she listened. Lysis was not exactly bossy, but she had spent some time alone as a child, and was finally growing aware of how powerful she could be with both words and actions -- as powerful as a child could be, that is. She mattered much more than she ever imagined.

The wash was an interesting place to explore, she noted, beginning to pad further down the slight crevice in the earth. The marble was splashed with various colors, blacks and reds and browns; reminding her very much of Talvi's pelt. She would walk for a moment, careful on the smooth stones. "Were you born here, Talvi?" Lysis inquired after a moment of silence, turning to gaze at her new friend. She didn't remember her first few days, but she knew this had always been her home. Maybe not the wash in particular, but Glaciem. The idea that the girl might be from some far-away land made her imagination soar.

Meeting new wolves in general was something that was both terrifying and exciting to Talvi. Lysis may have been rather separated from the pack for the early portion of her life though she was likely aware of the fact that other wolves had been around her. For a long while Talvi had believed that no one else existed outside of her family, now suddenly be in such a big pack with so many wolves that idea had of course been destroyed and these changes would take a little bit of getting used to.

Talvi had absolutely no idea where she was going, there was no reason for her really to assume that Lysis had a better idea but for whatever reason the blue and silver girl suspected it was better to let the older girl lead the way. Unaware that she had not only prevented herself from getting lost but also given Lysis quite the confident boost, Talvi simply continued along at the white wolf's side carefully following behind her as they climbed down into the now empty river.

"Were you born here, Talvi?" Talvi shook her head lightly in response to the question, mind attempting to recall the name of the isolated little place she had been born. The name never came back to her though, she wasn't actually entirely sure she had learnt it in the first place now she thought about it. "I was born on an island somewhere." She replied the best she could.

She could get used to spending time with others wolves of Glaciem, that was certain; she was an independent girl at heart, but she craved the companionship of others. She had been so weak and helpless for so many months following her birth, and she had grown accustomed to others caring for her. She no longer wanted that, but she did find herself growing excited at the prospect of spending more time with another.

Lysis would walk quietly, enjoying the feel of the cool stone against the delicate pads of her paws. She noted that this would be a perfect place to seek refuge in the heat, when it came -- she had heard that the seasons would change again soon, and the days would grow longer and hotter. "An island!" she repeated with delight, sweet voice laced with amusement. "How exciting." she had never left the borders of Glaciem, and why would she need to? Her father ruled over such a vast territory. "Would you ever want to go back?" Just to visit?" It sounded like quite an adventure, and Lysis was not at all devoid of curiosity.

Talvi was still rather content for her mother's care. In this odd environment she had found herself craving it more than she had before though apparently Argent had more to do here in Glaciem than back at the family's island. It was a little selfish of her really, though it was a small comfort to ask for with the sudden changes that their life had taken. Maybe she would find herself settling like Lysis and striving for that independence one day but for now she was far more at ease with her family around.

"An island! How exciting." Talvi had of course thought nothing of the island, it had been lovely to explore when she had the chance to, but it had been home to her it hadn't been anything she had ever thought could be perceived as odd or exciting. "Would you ever want to go back?" Just to visit?" She'd never really thought about it, with her family here she wished to remain close to them though there had certainly been many a time she had wished they could just all return to their island. To head back alone though? She wasn't quite so sure. "Maybe, if I could even find it again." That was of course another key detail, she wasn't really sure how to find her way back. It'd been a rather long journey, one where she had simply followed her mother.
