Shades of the Moon

The warm, yet cold temperature of the land filled the land with life. Songbirds began to sing their angelic tune as frogs croaked at the nearby stream. The grass of the land swayed to and fro in a gentle motion. Crickets slowly began to chirp. The femme's ebony pelt blended into the night like camouflage. The only amount of transparent light were the moon's white glow the shone through the landscape, lighting the trees and the stream as the light reflected off them. And the emerald colored light that the dame's eyes showed off as the moon's light reflected off them as well. A small image of the large, white orb reflected off her optics. Her ebony claws dug into the land, bringing up the earth along with other insects that soon began to slowly move. "I wonder where you are, Anuke," she thought to herself when she remembered that she had left the only parent that she had ever known. A salty droplet trickled down her cheek as it splashed onto the dry ground. Esperanza placed her crown on her paws as she watched the moon shine off in the distance.
