The desolate landscape trailed the fae as she did not know where she had walked off to. One moment she was in the pack's territory, and now she can't even remember where she had been. The land was sheeted with a blanket of white, cold flakes that trickled down the sky like rain. The trees were coated also with the white droplets of frozen water that rained down from the heavens and onto the landscape below. Her paws crunched underneath the cold sheet of white, causing the salmon colored pads of her feet to freeze from the frigid temperature. Without a second thought, she lied down near a frozen lake. Her salmon colored tongue licked the ice that had formed in between her toes and paws, sometimes, she would also bite the ice.
She went too hard this one time, yipping at the surprise that her teeth pierced the sensitive flesh. The temperature plummeted even more, but, she thought the only way to go would be to cross the lake. Her paws touched the frozen watery landscape and began to walk, small droplets of crimson from where she pierced the flesh dripped onto the ice.
It appeared stable to her, but, underneath, there only was a few inches keeping her above before reaching death by water. She walked steady, trying not to break the ice, but, it was too late. The frozen liquid began to crackle and split. Esperanza shifted her body from the places that were not splitting, but she was still caught. She sighed, whimpering and closing her eyes as the ice broke free, sending her under. She knew how to swim, but since the ice was there, it would be a challenge for her to get out by herself. Only a miracle could save her from sudden death. The temperatures were below freezing, and if she stayed in the water for too long, she would be knocking on death's door.

The cold would attempt to prickle beneath her flesh, roaming her greedily. But having staying in the north for a good few months s'alkrie had become better with harsh conditions. She had been eating more to keep more fat stored inside her small body, she made sure her den was filled with warm materials such as fur and feathers to keep her going through the night, especially since her family wasnt around. the sounds of the ice breaking would make the small babe raise her tiara, her triangular ears straining to detect the where abouts of the noise. But it didnt take long for curiosity to get the better of her; and before long she was in the centre of the scene. A wolf was struggling for her life, the cold waters secluding her frame and attempting to claim it entirely." m-miss are you ok!" the little girl would screech before attempting to grab her scruff to anker her up. Due to her small size and strength S'alkrie knew she woldnt be much help. But even if she provided a little, she may just be able to save a life. " Miss you need to push yourself up!" |

She smelled the scent of another femme approach her. The cold began to fill her body as ice from frigid liquid caught her pelt, her eyes becoming blind as she could sense she was starting to drown. But, she wasn't a quitter. Her paws began to kick as she placed her forepaws onto the landscape as she tried to lift herself up. Her orbs could easily see a wolf that looked like Iasrdis, but her form was small, and she was a female so it was not him for sure.
She soon placed her entire form onto the ice, now aware not to try to do that again if she was hoping for a death wish. Her green orbs slowly began to show life as she looked at the femme in thanks. The deep redish-pink color in her eyes caught her attention as a smile lay dormant on her thankful face. Severe cold began to fill her as she shook furiously, ice lay on top of her pelt, causing her fur to be covered with frozen water, and she soon closed her eyes to rest, happy that she had someone to help her be alive.
