It was obvious by the time he met Ace, and began his new habits that he knew he didn't belong in Abaven. He'd rather leave now than risk being banished forever more. Hence, he also hadn't returned to his "home" in what seemed like nearly a season. The storm had been when he left, only to return now. No one had come to search for him though, and it wasn't like he expected them to either. His paws dragged him along and occasionally he'd get into a rhythm until he finally crossed into the Rapids territory. They'd yell at him wouldn't they? Luckily, he was taking something for his little "problem" that he figured he had discovered.
His head raised in a lazy howl for Motif or Bass, anyone who could release him as a member. They could keep him if they wanted, but he wasn't going to change his habits for them. Levi accepted the thought of his killer like tendencies, it was just like this he could control them. It was easier too and he didn't get angry as often. Perhaps he would spend some time as a loner, with Ace. Or find a new pack that would suit his needs. He stood there very calm, a nice feeling he had received from the drugs.

He had been struggling with the disappearance of his mate, making him cold and distant from everyone. He had tried to follow her scent, but could not track her down. The smell of her in their den was starting to fade away, which tugged on his heart strings. Had he not been through enough already? He would give anything to have her back within his arms once more. But Levi was calling him, one of Hajime's pups that he had seen so little of for awhile. Not like he had been super active within his own pack, but he still took notice of others absence. Huffing, the male pulled himself to his paws and left his den -- which seemed so much more empty without Wren there to share it with him. It didn't take long for Bass to reach the growing boy, his face stony as he approached him. His heart was already weakened, so he needed to steel himself off from whatever the boy wanted to talk to him about. He hoped that it was something good, but it seemed that all howls for him carried bad news. He doubted that this time was any different. "Yes?" He asked simply, his vocals not as soft as it usually was.

Of course, if he had the feeling of dread, of remorse, he would wish it upon himself ten fold. But alas he did not, the details mazed around in his head as he watched the man come around. Someone he could consider a father to himself if he had to say so. Suddenly it clicked in his head that he didn't want to leave. No matter how messed up he was, he wanted to fight tooth and claw to protect these wolves, to protect whatever future generations brought along with it as well. There was a part of the story Ace hadn't seen when he had shed that mans blood, he had been caught up in the moment he had wanted to just.....make the memory go away but it wouldn't.
"Forgive me father for I have sinned.....I came across a male in the woods of the new lands, I left to explore them and to find myself. He was battered, broken, beyond saving, and he spat out words for me to kill him. I could not feel bad as my jaws lay foot on his throat Bass. I am sick, but I care for abaven. I found plants that keep me calm, they help my sickness, but I want you do decide weather you want me here or not. I don't want to be in a place where I feel I do not belong." he explained very carefully. His eyes widened a little, before he calmed himself. This situation didn't mean much to him, but that was something he couldn't fix.

His eyes widened at the boys words, his breath catching in his throat. It felt like the air was being choked out of his lungs. His body stumbled somewhat from the shock, as he shook his head back and forth with vigor. He understood that the man has pleaded for death, but for Levi to tell him that he felt no remorse was something totally different. And these 'herbs'... Bass wasn't daft. He knew that they were drugs. Suddenly the man stood tall, lips pulling back as a growl left his body. He shook, unsure of what emotion was coursing through his body. "Damn right you're sick." He spat, hackles standing on end. "To take someone's life without feeling anything... is monstrous. How can I know that if you stay, that Abaven will be safe? To allow you to take your drugs?" Bass took a few steps closer to the boy, standing over him. "I took you in and tried to raise you with Quelt and the others. What happened to you Levi? This is not something that I expected of you, not at all!" Honestly Bass was quite unsure on what he should be feeling at the moment. All these different emotions coursed through his body -- the loss of his wife and now this? He had just accepted everything and felt like for once, everything was in its place. But no, the fates had something else planned for him. In every way Bass was being tested, and the Azat was unsure how to handle it.

The ruler tried to calm himself, taking in deep breaths as his back arched like an angered cat. So much was running through his head that he felt like running away from all of this. But being the Alpha, he could not. He didn't know what to think, and he needed to talk to Motif. He couldn't handle this right now, but knew that the boy was looking for some sort of comfort. Bass let out a shuttering sigh, his golden eyes shutting out the word as he tried to calm himself. "Sorry... give me a moment." He said, trying to give them both a moment to collect their thoughts.

Levi watched Bass carefully. His ears flicked to his words, but he showed nothing of feeling sorry or being cowardice towards the scolding. Yes, a monster, that was exactly what he was. Maybe Bass didn't understand, but he didn't expect anyone to. As his tail made a flick behind him, his heart-rate still remained normal. If he had been sober, he would have gotten frustrated, snapped at Bass. This was how he controlled the sickness, this was how he saw the world. Because if he couldn't control it, he might as well be dead. His birth had been a mistake.
"I've tried....tried to painfully hard to understand, to fathom how I'm different from everyone else. I'm only able to observe to mimic, if I could feel it I would wish it upon myself every second." His toes splayed out into the terrain as he stepped forward. His icy blue eyes widened and he shut them for a moment before his ears pinned to the back of his head. He clearly was a burden on Bass, and what bothered him was that he couldn't do anything about that. Opening them again he sighed. He would point out everything right about Bass life.
"What is expected of me or not, this is who I am. You have a family, brothers, sisters, cousins, a mate, friends. They all care about you, no matter how many people leave Bass, those who care about you will always fill that hole. I have no one, I don't even have myself, I don't trust myself." his body turned suddenly. He didn't want to be here, he didn't want to stand there, trying to explain to Bass he had something very wrong with him and it was not something you could fix. It was not a choice, it was the way his biological genes had been designed. "If you see me again, rip my bones from my carcass. Or keep me as a prisoner but you will have to fight for that." he lowered his head. Before starting to walk.
-Exit Levi unless stopped-
