Through the rugged mountain terrain, a dark form made it's way over the pitfalls. Loki, the trickster, the name-child of a god, liar or traitor or lover, this black sheep boy was seeking solitude not because he was tired of people... he was just taking a quick step out of society to plot, as usual.

Despite the occasionally treacherous ground, Loki's sure-footed paws didn't falter, dancing lightly over the ground, around, under, over all the obstacles in his path, carrying him farther along the path between one civilized land and another.

Loki was in high spirits this day. Green eyes glittered brightly, the wolf brimming with amusement and mischief. He'd found Hati earlier and taunted his slightly-older littermate until the infuriated male had snapped, and attacked him. As usual, Loki had found it a simple enough thing to dodge his berseker attack and dance just out of reach as his dim-witted brother raged at him, before vanishing in the brush to make his way here.

Outwitting his brother was always a highlight.

Gossamir had the coyote corned in the crevices of this hellish mountain. Steep dropoff to her right, unstable incline to her left. But there was a lesson to be learned here, a principal that this pathetic scavenger had to learn the hard way. Nobody stole from her. The coyote was whining in it's high-pitched squeal as it pushed itself back against the rocks that were blocking the path. It was Gossamir or the ledge. In it's mouth hung a scrap of meat stolen from one of Gossamir's kills? a hard-earned kill as she was out scouting Alacritis on her own.

She moved in, just as her General had taught her back in the old clan. She was a wolf that enjoyed mutilating other canids and while Gossamir had found the custom sick at the time she found herself more and more coming into direct competition with the furry beasts? and finding them so easy to vent her frustration on while getting some good practice in, after all she was a smaller wolf.

The coyote's whine reached a fever pitch as it attempted to bolt up the steep incline. Gossamir dove as the rocks shifted under the panicked creatures paws sending it right off the ravine. Her jaws closed on solid air. Part of her was frustrated she couldn't teach the vermin a lesson, the other part was relieved.

Turning with a sigh she continued on her way only to find herself face to face with a large black male. Her ears went back as her hackles raised and she eyed the male warily, keenly aware of the danger she was in. However, she wasn't keen on letting him know how afraid she really was. With a scowl she addressed the brute. "You misplace something, stranger?"
