[[Pre-Dated to before Spar with Eowyn]]

Wraithe Slae

The black man did as he normally did; he hid in the trees and watched for any wolf or animal that wanted to cross his path. He was by no means a vicious or cruel wolf. He did what he had to in order to protect himself when the time called for it. He was shy and quiet. Sometimes wolves mistook this for an act of loathing but he meant that by no means. His amber eyes held little emotion to him. A small bit of kindness in them if anything as he rested near the trunk of a tree.

Esperanza's deep, ebony coat made her appear like a shadow in the frigid landscape of the snow. Mist appeared out of her mouth as it mixed well with the oxygen in the air and came out as carbon dioxide. Within a couple seconds, the mist had disappeared into the frozen landscape.

Her paws dug into the snow leaving fresh paw prints as the freshly laid snow crunched underneath her. The cold flurries sent chills down her spine and she would sometimes try to stop and lick the ice that had formed in between her paws. Sometimes, she would bite to hard and yip in pain, sending droplets of crimson onto the sheet of white. The pink pads of her paws made her shiver even more as she tried to make them warmer and also get away from the bed of frozen water. She soon entered a forest that was covered with many trees, evergreens as what she remembered when she was taught the type of trees around this region.

Her black pelt didn't camouflage her well in the terrain as some of the snow fell and landed onto her coat, making her even more cold as she soon caught the scent of what appeared to be another wolf, but not a female, a male. She stood her ground and waited for the man to approach from out of the trees.

A single scent sent him on the urge to run. He had no wolf to protect other than himself and that was the simplest of means. But he stayed and he watched the girl he had scented. She had a darker coat like him and she appeared to be nice. No matter what kind of hiding any wolf tried their scents usually gave them away. A small grin crossed him as he spoke up with a smile. "Hello there." This wolf was not hiding but standing her ground. He gulped a bit; he would not let it lead to a fight. Never would it be a fight. He could not let it happen again.
