The lithe woman moved silently through the wood, her tawny fur illuminating a gentle glow in the light. Her golden eyes peered from beneath her lashes, searching the ground before her between each blink. The brisk air of dawn filtered in through the tall pines, her breath billowing on the air, as she moved at a brisk pace hoping to get to the herb garden before the mass of the pack trampled through it. The few herbs that she could pick this time of year were hardy, but she always preferred to do her sorting without an audience. It was her time to think, which is something that she seemed to do a lot of lately. So much had happened in the expanse of time since she had joined Glaciem. From the various challenges to the siege, Seraphim, giving birth, and her return. She really hadn't had time to dwell on her own thoughts. Thus she had been escaping in the wee hours of the morning, in search of solace, time to think.

She would nose her way through the herbs, her muzzle delicately brushing the frost bitten stems aside, as she searched for the ones that she would need to replenish her stores. One of the main delicacies that she would clips stems of would be useful for the pregnant females that seemed to constantly inhabit Glaciem. Pups were never scarce here, that was for sure. She also would stock up on herbs to prepare for the coming labors that would surely catch her off guard. She knew her packs Queen was close to her due date, but wasn't sure if she'd be summoned to assist. She'd been on such tedious terms with Isardis lately. A sigh escaped her, at the thought, her breath billowing in the dimly lit sky, and floating off to join the air. Life these days was complicated.

The russet princess padded after the healer, intrigue getting the best of her as she investigated. She had never met this femme before, but she was interested to, based on how well she was doing at keeping the entire Kingdom safe and healthy. She watched the small woman clipping the stems of plants she recognized but didn't know the names of. Slowly the ivory masked lass would step from the trees, cautiously letting her sweet lyrics fall from her dark lips. "Hello there, am I interrupting?" Sweet alto vocals would inquire softly, her own urge to be polite keeping her from being as imposing as the rest of her family. Though, being the smallest of the bunch so far, it was difficult to be intimidating. Though the scars on her left cheek did a damned good job with pups, and heightened the opinions of her peers. The story behind those slash marks that marred her cherubic features was less than bravado, it was nearly cowardice. She left those thoughts to trail off and disappear, a soft smile playing at her features while she stepped slowly from between the trees. Tea cupped paws kept her minimal weight above the drifts of thick white powder that blanketed the lands. A few slow wags of her rusty brown banner illustrated that she meant no harm, but she did not stay far from the trees, in case she was not welcome.

He stayed up all night to get lucky.

It was almost fun, to aimlessly wander through this frostbitten wasteland. Despite the pounding in his skull he still enjoyed the crisp air, the colors a soft grey that almost hurt. He needed to find some water, the thirst in his throat a constant ache, eyes of fire blinking slowly as it settled into his bones. It was time to find a pack, if he couldn't find Newt he would have to root down until it happened. No more being foolish.

He slipped silently through the trees, pale fur stained with mud. He felt odd, a sixth sense awakening the more he moved around. Everything was hushed, his fickle heart exposed to the cold but it was frozen already. Ears thrust forth at the sound of a voice, a very young female. It was almost instantaneous, the tugging deep down taking control of his paws and soon he found that he was closer then expected. In no time at all he could see her, a russet pelt but she was not alone, another wolf was moving around too far off to make out. So he did the only thing that made sense, easing out into the open and clearing his throat. "Have you seen Newt?" it was a hopeful question, a shy glance at the young girl. It never hurt to ask.

Before an answer could meet her audits, a pale man covered in mud approached cautiously. He inquired as to whether she had seen a wolf named Newt, but she had not, nor had she ever heard of the lupine. She shook her delicate tiara, a sheepish smile playing at her features. "Sorry, I haven't." She murmured softly, sweet alto lyrics quiet as she replied to the man. Then his scent came to her slowly, faintly smelled under the distinct odour of earth. He did not smell of Glaciem, and it made the femme a bit edgy. Orchid pigmented pools would take on a hint of unease and suspicion as she met his own molten optics. "Are you a part of this pack?" She inquired, her girlish voice alluding nothing of her feelings about this male's presence, they were perfectly innocent and cheery. She was a perfect actor, none could see through her disguises half the time, and she could convince anyone of anything she wished. She was forced to look up at this man, who was nearly a foot taller than herself, annoyingly.

The sage's herb sorting was interrupted by the soft tones of a russet woman, who was an oddity and a beauty, Eris mentally noted as she turned to look at her. Obviously, such a beauty was a child of the king, he did have a habit for throwing uniquely marked babes. A slight smile pulled at her jaws, but before she could speak to assure the dame that she wasn't interrupting, another wolf appeared, this one didn't smell of the pack, but that didn't mean that he wasn't new. A curious look crossed her jaws, as she moved close to the dame, her golden eyes on the curious male. "You don't smell like Glaciem." She commented dryly, her tone suspicious but not unfriendly.

Carefully inspecting the male, she waited for him to say something in reply. She noted that the woman turned to face her, looking like she wanted to say something, but had been interrupted by the stranger. Orchid toned gaze would follow the lady's approach from the corner of her eye, discovering to her shock and guilty joy, that the woman was smaller than herself! She fought a smile that threatened to break apart her dark lips, instead keeping her curious gaze upon the strange, pale man. The healer came to her side, and they both calmly awaited the reply of the much larger man.
