Salamander

"Oh where oh where has my little friend gone?" Smooth tones would sing into the warm air, tail swinging, the wolf comeing to a stop to stick his head in a bush. A few seconds he would pull out with an overdone sigh, continuing to skip along the river. "Oh where oh where could he beeeee?" Suddenly Sal would leap into a bush with a grin, legs pawing around as if looking for somebody. After a few seconds of that he would pull away, groaning in frustration, he would kick a pebble into the river, walking along it now with head held low.

Who was the boy looking for? Obviously Grinner, the man he had met a few weeks ago, traveled with and had formed a crush on rather quickly. Though he was small, Sal thought he was quite handsome, especially with that lovely wolf skull he seemed to wear all the time. Recently the two had become separately, and the boy was wondering if he had become boring to the man, causing him to up and leave without a word.

He was terribly bored.

It was half way decent out, the river lulling him into a semi peaceful state as he wandered along. All of his convictions were gone, leaving him a blank slate but was it really better this way?? So far no signs of his so called blood, he was starting to wonder if he was better off what price did he have to pay just to feel like he fit in anywhere because in truth nothing could keep him standing still. His fickle heart was jaded, covered in nothing but dust.

But he was not alone.

Ears thrust forth at the sound of another male's voice, molten hues watching in rapt silence as the dirty grey beast wandered. Something felt so strange, a shifting in his chest that was almost crippling. Normally he might just turn and walk away, but today was special at least it felt that way in his bones. He couldn't be alone forever, that was asking too much. He kept up the pace, his pale hide exposed in the warmth. "Hey Boy, what are you doing out here?" a curiosity lacing his tones as he cocked his head to the left. His beating heart suspended, dareing himself to breath.
