It was late in the evening hours when her weary paws seemed to pull her from the shadows of the water. There was a chill in the air and her coat was soaked through. She shook from head to toe in a sort of wiggle and water flew everywhere. She shivered a little as she stepped further onto the borders and paused. Nostrils flared to gather the scents around her. Jade eyes swept the landscape of the surrounding area carefully. She stood there now and gathered the scents. There were several of them and yet; none were familiar. They would not be though; she's a stranger here. she's a newcomer seeking refuge and hope. She's a creature who's traveled far. No, she had run far from the dangers of which she'd survived. There is kindness in her and a shimmer to her russet coat. There's something else that can be seen there though. Not anger or hatred. No, these are beyond her reach. She had never imagined she could ever really hate anyone. It wasn't a part of who the russet wolf was and would ever be.

Paws can carry her no further and so; she collapses. It is obvious to see her that she's traveled quite a distance. She is wet and a little chilled. There is a weariness in those brilliant eyes that cannot be mistaken. There's a sorrow there too that cannot be undone. Not right now anyway. It may be a while before the she-wolf finds herself in fully content again. The pain that wraps itself around her heart is strong and it torments her. The nightmares haunt her and she's tired of them. She cannot escape them though and she has tried. It is too fresh still though it had been weeks; months? She can no longer really recall to be honest. It is still too fresh within her heart and soul though. She hates it; she loathes it but she does not loathe others. Well, that is a lie perhaps.

There is a hatred in her heart of a different sort. It is not a full hatred but it is there none the less. Those that had taken the lives of her parents? She loathed them and could wish the worst upon them. It is barely there within her thoughts but it is a plague none the less. She cannot help herself really. Dakarai does not like what has happened and what those cruel beings had done.

Monsters!

Yes, they were monsters and nothing less. They were cruel abominations that she could not think pleasantly of. They were beings in which she would never wish to find again and yet; she would love to tear them limb for limb. She knows that this is impossible though now; she will not dare cross paths with them again. So; she had run and here she is. Laying on the doorstep of the Ludicael and hoping for the best. Seeking guidance and a family. These are things that are important to Dakarai. She's a very friendly; confident soul but she lacks perhaps the knowledge of the greater good. Through teaching and learning she can find these things though.

Friends? Yes, she wants them. She needs them as she is tired of being alone. She wants more and wishes she could find the happiness she desperately needs. Will that be here though? While she does not know, Dakarai waits patiently and wearily to know. Even if she wanted to move right now, her sore and weary muscles will not allow it. She is cold and she is aching. The she-wolf could do with some help and warmth right about now. She's not here to make enemies and she isn't here to harm. Would they see that? One can only hope right?

The man was at it again. Marking the borders on his daily patrols of the borders, ensuring all was safe and well until his Sister was able to go and secure alliances with some of the other packs. Though he was doubtful of a few, he hoped that trouble would not arise in the future. His siblings were off doing their own thing, and he himself had quickly fallen into a routine when he joined Ludicael under his sister's rule. In truth, he enjoyed being in a pack again. The life of a loner got quite...lonely. And even though he had Legend for the duration of their rogue life, he hated feeling like he was holding his younger brother back from what he truly wanted to do. Although, Howl had never asked exactly what his brother wanted...then again, he had never forced him to stay with him. Legend had offered to keep him company, and the pair had been together since coming to these lands.

Lost in thought, Howl would almost miss the strangers scent so close to the borders. He would noticed when he'd nearly stumble upon her, the male pausing his thought line when the scent of powerful emotion hit the air in front of his nose. Pulling himself back to reality, he'd glance about in search of the owners scent, paws carefully moving forward in a sense of wariness. And soon, he had come across a stranger he had never met, a she-wolf looking weary. He would move a little faster, deep down wondering if she needed help. And upon arriving, he would look her over, worry for this stranger gnawing at his mind...though he wasn't exactly sure why. Worrying about others outside of his family was usually not in the norm for him. Though there was the rare time he did, and the last time he could remember was meeting a strange woman named Myrrh. And that meeting was the strangest he had ever had.

He approached slowly so as not to frighten her, hazel eyes curious and concerned. "Excuse me Miss, but you don't look too well..." Howl stopped a few feet away, his words honest and to the point as usual. He never masked his thoughts, and if he did it was rare. He said what he saw and whatever was on his mind and eyes, and in his eyes, this woman looked like she needed help. He was hesitant to approach any further, he did not know her and wasn't sure if she would react in a violent manner. Myrrh had approached him without hesitation, and although he never forgot that encounter, he also never forgot the way she had made him feel with such closeness. He'd subconsciously take a deep breath. He knew that the woman from the past would not be seen again. And so with a heavy feeling, he'd turn his attention to the woman before him. And like her, he too felt afraid of getting close for fear of getting hurt...and it was now that he'd wait a response from her, willing to help her should she need it. Even if she refused.

Dakarai

It was in a shivering moment that he approaches her. His black etched paws over a snow white body. His brilliant amber eyes shimmering out in such a pretty; handsome contrast. Ears twitch as they catch his approach and eyes watch the hesitation as he paused a little ways from her. There's hesitation in her own but his voice is soothing; welcoming. There is concern she can see in those eyes and she does wonder. Was it sincere? The tone of his voice made it seem so and so; she shifts slightly and merely lifts her head. She has no want to try and raise right now. Dakarai isn't sure she could with how exhausted she is. The journey had been long of course and swimming? Well, it had taken a toll on her muscles and well being. Not to say she isn't healthy. She is only exhausted though; that isn't really a good thing either.

I..the journey's been a long one sir. She murmured, her lips closing a moment to draw in a shaky breath and let a shake run across her soaked fur once more. One would see the hairs moving across her and she almost let a moment find way to her throat of a whine. It stays in the back of her throat though; Dakarai pushing it aside. I am Dakarai...I'm sorry if I've wandered where I shouldn't. I just don't .... think I can move any further right now. At least; not far. It seemed true enough too. The woman was rather tired; her muscles ached. No, they burned. Her body shook softly with the chill of her soaked through fur. The russet and white rippling with her involuntary movements.

There is a moment when she wonders now what might happen. She is not beyond needing help. She is not above them here and is a stranger. Dakarai knows this. She welcomes help honestly and any friendships she might be able to find. She's tired of being alone and wants so much to belong somewhere. She doesn't know where that is though. Was it here? Only time can really tell to be truthful and she has yet to figure it out. She'd run for so long though and she's sick of running. She won't run anymore and whatever the land has to offer, she's here to accept it. A home? A friend or two? A family? She'll settle here and wait; see what the future holds for her. Though; she does hope it isn't bad. Friends would help her, she knows they would. Dakarai isn't beyond learning and being taught. She isn't beyond respect where it is due and needed. She isn't the kind of wolf that will turn her back on you. She's the kind of woman who will work hard to make friends and work just as hard to keep them.

So; she watches Howl now and hopes for the best. She cannot show submission anymore than she is. She it is clear; is almost too tired to move at all. She hopes that he realizes this and knows that he isn't in any way, meaning him disrespect. She's just so weary; so achy. But he had been seeming to want to help and so; she'd wait and see.

The she wolf would follow the recent path of her brother, her intentions to promote him very much high on her list of tasks to complete. He had taken it upon himself to patrol the borders everyday along with being incredibly helpful all around. There was always food to be eaten, and no one overstepped their boundaries, thanks in no small part to Howl. As her delicate paws would carry her the scent of another would carry itself to her.
As she came upon them the sight was odd to behold, the woman was obviously incredibly weary. It seemed as though she had been travelling and had not stopped until just now. She needed somewhere to rest and she needed it now. "Oh, my dear!" She would rush to the she wolf's side, for whenever someone was in need Song could not help but to help. She needed some food, and a warm place to recover. "I don't know who you are or where you've come from, but we must get you some food and warmth." She would let her lean up against her, sure that Howl would be close behind to help. "Come, let us get her to a den." She looked to howl and then back to the rugged she wolf, "My name is Song, the Alphess of these lands, we'll help you don't worry." She hoped she would be able to walk the short distance to the denning sight.

The Oracle's only son had been in the area, secretly following his mother and hoping to learn a thing or two about what she did as the ruler. It did Dhiren's heart good to see her interact with the different members of their pack and he wanted to make her proud one day. As he was in the midst of staying within the vicinity, hidden beneath the underbrush of the surrounding trees, he heard the conversation and witnessed the goings-on. Dhiren didn't hesitate to assist with all he could do.
As Song proceeded to help the stranger with proceeding to the nearby dens, Dhiren slipped from the underbrush and searched for a nearby piece of meat. His hunting skills weren't that polished, but they were good enough for him to catch a few bites to eat. The eagerness in his steps helped fuel his mission and he continued to sniff out a rabbit trail until he came close to his prey. In no time at all, he was chasing after it through the swaying mangroves, dirt flying beneath his paws as he hit odd angles on the ground. Finally, he caught the little monster and proudly trotted back to his mother, uncle, and the stranger.
By the time he got back, they were close to the nearest den. His gold and silver eyes met Song's own mismatched set and he lowered the rabbit at the entrance. His tail swayed behind him before he stepped back, making sure there was plenty of room for all three wolves to make their way to the front of the den.

She moves with the help of the two. How and Song. Alpha and she wasn't sure who he was. She doesn't know either of them but they are clearly high figures in the Ludicael pack. Interesting. She isn't worried and they seem nice enough and willing to help the female who's in need. She is grateful of this much. She blinks a couple of times and shakily moves. She stumbles a few times on the journey toward the den in which they were leading her toward. She watches from the corner of her gaze even as a darker wolf scampered off. He seemed younger and yet; he seemed eager to help.

He had returned soon enough within his grasp; a rabbit in which he'd clearly tracked down and killed in the time that it had taken them to make it to the den. It hadn't been easy for Dakarai to move but she had. It had been something she must do and it was without acceptance that she had remained there, cold and soaked through. No, she'd surely get sick if she wasn't already. She shivered a few times as they finally paused and the ebony male approached them to drop the rabbit. She moves with them into the den. Her body shaking; shivering. She closed her eyes and stumbled a little.

Pausing finally, Dakarai coughed a little and inhaled the air. It was a little thicker being inside the enclosure of the den but it was warmer. She could feel it and it was clearly dry. She shook a little but this brought the she-wolf to her belly. Her body unable to hold her up much on its own. She grunted a couple of times and scowled at this. Weak. She was not weak. Maybe though; she was. She had run and fled the dangers. She had fled from the destruction and just run. She'd found her way here and now, she didn't know what was going to happen.

Her attention returned to the Alpha female though and she coughed a bit more before she responded. Dakarai..I am Dakarai ma'am, Song. I...am really...grateful for the...help. Because clearly, she needed it right now. She wouldn't admit to being any bit strong right now. She was cold and she was hungry. Just thinking about the rabbit had her salivating a little. Was it for her? She isn't sure but it must be yes? Had the younger male brought it for her? If so, then she would be ever so grateful to him as well.
