Chord had finally made his way to the Eastern lands and back towards Abaven for another visit to his siblings. The Destruction lad had completely bypassed the storm, heard nothing of it either and so it wasn't with worry that he made his way to visit his siblings but simply the joy of popping in for a visit and sharing with them what he had found. An entirely new land had just appeared, popped up out of the sea. OK, so maybe the actual continent had always existed though the land that now made a bridge between the Northern and Southern Alacritia was entirely new. He had heard it confirmed by a couple of sources so he knew he wasn't going mad.
Triumphantly the adventurer would let out a call from the borders as he awaited an audience to share his tales of the new land with. He would surely return, explore it some more, he hadn't ventured around it anywhere near enough after all. It could certainly wait for the time being however, he would spend a bit more time with his family first.
It would be Motif that would soon appear before him and Chord would return the affectionate greeting before settling down opposite her. "Should I need a reason to pay a visit to my siblings?" The boy would question. However much he loved adventure he did love his siblings still and visits to them weren't just to keep up pleasantries but because he did truly enjoy them. There would be a moment of feigned hurt in his voice as he spoke, though such acts couldn't be kept up for long and his wide smile soon returned.
"I do have some news for you all though. I've found some new lands." He would begin simply. Perhaps he ought to wait for some of his other siblings to arrive though he wouldn't and couldn't be patient enough for that now, eager to share his findings. "In the Southern Lands a bridge appeared out of the ocean, as magical in appearance as the mysterious act itself. It leads to another continent, so many more places to explore and until recently never heard of to anyone here."
Alpha or not Motif was still his sister and he certainly wouldn't have judged her for such an action. To be fair though, Chord was hardly the best example for sophisticated beahviour anyway, not that he had ever thought his siblings were either. They were respectful enough without being considered stuck-up in anyway. Of course the only leaders any of them had ever known were family, their grandparents, parents and now Bass and Motif, and in his mind formality certainly wasn't necessary for family.
Motif would listen to his words of the lands though her teasing wouldn't put him off at all. Yes he had found some sort of real adventure, one of the first few wolves to travel to Southern Alacritia and he would be proud of that fact for quite some time. By no means however was his adventuring done, there was more to see in both the Southern and Northern lands and surely more to do in both as well. No, his adventures had only just begun. "It really is." He would comment simply, the gleeful look still shining within his eyes and excited tones continuing. "But there still so much more to do I'm sure." He would add before any persuasion to give up his wandering and join Abaven could be suggested not that Motif was typically the one to make such a suggestion anyway.
Chord likely would have felt a similar guilt had he known the struggles his siblings were going through. He had once feared for them upon receiving news from Motif that there had been some horrific illness spreading around Alacritia. He still cared very much for his siblings even if he wasn't around them at all times. The good moments were certainly far easier and far more pleasing to be around though to know he had missed out on so much stuggle, so much of their lives would surely hurt the boy.
They had kept it from him for now and would continue to do so, allowing him to lead his adventurous life guilt free. Rather than reveal her own longings to leave and guilt at such desires, Motif would simply continue enthusiastically, questioning whether he had been to the lands. A keen nod would be his immediate answer for her. "I've not explored them fully though I did take a look at some parts of it. There's a wonderful waterfall there Motif, hides an entrance to a cave and it's full of sweet tasting stalactites and stalagmites." It was perhaps the most unique thing he had really come across so far along with the glittering bridge itself.
