It had been a hard choice, she needed a pack, a place to call home. The girl needed to socialize, her current life as a nomad avoiding as much contact with her family as possible was detrimental to her mental health. Still she had ruled out Ludicael as her new home, she had no doubt that her family would have forgiven her but it would always had been awkward for her, feeling as though others would have a hard time trusting her. Alternatively she could not go the pack of the male she had followed. That would be a final insult to her family.

So it had brought her here, the scent boarder of a pack before her. She shifted nervously from paw to paw before finally tipping her head back and letting loose a call for one who might be able to accept her into the pack.

Crawling from his den for his daily morning patrol, Dragon untangled himself from the warm body of Aeil. Giving her head a soft lick as he murmured in her ear, he slipped out of the warm den and into the cold air outside. Shivering slightly, he stretched and yawned, mouth stretching wide to show large dagger like teeth before snapping shut. Swiftly he trotted towards the forest, hopefully to find something for Aeil before she awoke, just as he did every morning. He would slow to a loping gait, which then slowed to a walk as he remained quiet to find any sign of prey. He would quickly become discouraged, however, when he couldn't smell any sort of prey where he was. "Winter is going to make things tough...not sure how they are here, though I assume the same as they were back home." he would murmur to himself. Of course, this winter would mark his first winter in Alacritis.

Moving along towards the borders to see if he could find prey there, he halted when a howl reached his ears. Turning in it's direction, he loped onwards to see who the stranger was. It sounded young, a female for sure, and he wondered what she wanted. A small smile would place itself onto his face when he came into view of the young girl, and he slowed as he approached. "Good day, my name is Dragon. What brings you to our borders today, young one?"

It would not take very long for one to approach, but still it was enough time for the youth to ponder, to worry and fret. Was this the right choice? Was there any other choice? She would not have too much time to come up with answers however as a male approached. Myth watched him approach, tail raising slightly, twitching in a small wag. The man would speak and her thoughts would run away from her again.

"I am Myth," She began, tone light and a small smile tugging at her lips, " I am looking to join your ranks, if you will have me." She paused, feeling as though she needed to say more. "I am a decent enough healer if need be."

He would watch her, a kind gaze in his deep red eyes as he waited for an answer. Luckily it would not take long, and a chuckle would rumble deep within his throat as he noted her wagging tail. Perhaps she was trying to contain excitement? He wasn't sure, though he would certainly not turn away one who wanted to join this fair kingdom. "It is nice to meet you, Myth. That is quite a fine and pretty name. Seracia will be glad to have you among our ranks, and I'm sure that Loccian will be pleased to meet you as well. Especially if you are a healer as you say. She too is Seracia's healer, perhaps you can learn from her."

He waited for that small bit of information to sink, and then proceeded to tell her about Seracia. "You seem the trustworthy type, and that is good. Seracia is based on trust and a deep sense of loyalty. As long as you follow the rules, do your duties, attend to required meetings, and refrain from betraying the pack. Then rewards are great. I myself was in your position a couple seasons ago, and now I am serving a great pack. Everyone here is like family, we look out for each other, and we take care of each other. Work hard, and you'll go far." he quieted then, allowing her to process it. There was nothing hard about being here, all one had to do was respect pack law and work hard. Simple enough. "Any questions, young Myth?"
