The drop
The winds would trace the contours of her skeletal spine, kissing her fur before swaying away from her honey curls. The onyx lips would part, her warm breath leaking out into the open, the faint clouds made visible. Like any other day Meinx was alone, and in a rather dangerous place around the mountains, where one could easily drop. For her young age the dark pearl was rather huge, still growing rapidly by the day. Her parents amence size has been delivered into her genes, making her soon to be a beastly fae. Perhaps most would be put of or intimidated in the future, but she did not care. She would need someone who could challenge her everyone once in a while. Not submit to every decision she makes.
the rocks would flick past her paws, dropping of the side. Meinx didn't even think of the danger, nor did she really care for the matter. The theory is 'you've never lived until your on the edge.' or, it was something along those lines. A sigh would roll over her salmon tounge, the icy gaze trying to pinpoint a location, or perhaps someone. The place was rather dull, the aspects rather bland.
Upon closing some of the distance he would realize by scent that the stranger was a female - as well as a young one. Definitely not older than he, Codeine's eyes would narrow as his lips pulled into a frown. Well that wasn't any fun - toppling a random wench without an inkling of experience would prove nothing. With a huff he would pick up the pace until he was sure that the other lupine was close enough to hear and see him clearly. "That tall and you're still not much of a wolf yet?" That would be her saving grace, and perhaps his own - following after monstrous beasts and seeing whether he would survive was far from being a basic survival instinct. "What's a girl doing all alone out here anyways?" He would taunt somewhat, although really, he had no doubts about females being as strong as their counterparts. His mother and sister were proof of that. Honestly he was somewhat curious about this girl... Surely she did not live here on her own? She smelled something of a family or pack, but between the various scents on her pelt and the snow that was constantly dancing around up north around this time it was hard to tell.
It wouldn't be long until the figure would loom forward in his confidant yet mischievous ways, peering as though he wanted to achieve something yet coming out disappointed. Meinx's sky blue gaze would trace and define his features, drinking him in before shrugging it of. It would seem that he judges a book by its cover, how typical. The narrow muzzle would screw up a little, the wispy tail flicking across the floor until she becomes face to face with him. " You seem clever, perhaps you'd like me to find you some sort of prize?" The sarcastic tone would be held within her voice. Though, the girl may seem rather blunt, curiosity still claws at her brain, wondering why he'd venture so far up for absolutely no reason.
Stepping forward once more a small 'hmph' would part her lips. " oh, so because im a girl you think I cant be alone?" Being awkward was perhaps one of Meinx's specialties, but at times she can become rather impatient with herself- so she'd fast forward it a little. "I could say the same to you, boy." Yes, she used boy, defying him for what he was, a boy. " Im a member of amenti, under the knew rule of syrinx." She didn't want to mention that he as in fact her father, because the pale brute may mistaken her as 'soft' or living the easy life.
Which meant he didn't know where the hell Artemis was staying anymore. He could only hope that it was still up north. "Damn it all, I'll never find her now." He muttered, clearly annoyed with what had happened, but that seemed to be how things went. Weak rulers would grab hold of new lands and then let them go... someone strong needed to step up already... "I'm here to see how far I can make it up. The world's not without its natural challenges." He would faintly grin, toothless, but a snide sort of smirk was natural to him.
"You feel like telling me what Amenti's like now? Keeping tabs with the place is nearly impossible." How was Artemis supposed to play a leader and steal their crown if they couldn't well and good hold onto it long enough? His question had already been answered, but what he really wanted to know was how long would this Syrinx guy stick around before he bailed?
