City on the hill

Canta was chasing a floating leaf, one of the few ones that hadn?t already fallen. The weather was getting colder and her undercoat was beginning to come in, the change in season would bring new surprises for the girl and her siblings but at the moment she was in a rare moment of play, growling happily at the leaf as it twirled past her nose. She snapped at it missing as it continued to drift towards the ground. It landed lightly and then the girl was upon it, ebony paws pounding against the ground on top of the leaf. She cocked her head to the side.
She would soon discover the leaf wasn?t nearly so much fun as when it was moving and would grow bored settling upon her haunches with a sigh, forest green orb searching for something to keep her occupied.
