The cold night air chilled the fur upon the back of the multi-colored Knight. Hias tail puffed out against the chill, green eyes luminescent in the dark. He had been walking, searching, but alas it was in vain. He figured Kestrel would be nowhere near here, but it was always worth a shot. He had come across these strange caverns, claws lightly clicking on the stone floor upon entering, his gaze falling wondrously on the markings that covered the rock walls. He had seen things like this before back home, never did he think he would see them here too. His parents had told him that they were once the marks of humans, but such creatures had gone extinct...supposedly. At least, he had never seen one anyway.

Knight sat on his haunches as he gazed at the painted markings, clearly enthralled by such marvelous mystery. He wondered if wolves could one day do the same thing. For a good moment, he forgot about the cold that had seeped into his fur. For now, he would stare at the different pictures that wrote the past history of the world. He wondered and thought, maybe one day he would place his mark in history...maybe one day, he could tell future children about his own past.

Ardhel had found the caves in a search for shelter from the bitter wind. They were perfect, sure it was still cold, but it kept the biting wind away. She had been wandering in the caves they were a mass of twisting tunnels and hidey-holes. Well it was quite a small cave system, but it seemed huge to her. She had found the marks of humans in here, colourful carvings and paintings. She saw no use in these. Pieces of mineral pasted on a wall.

She tore her eyes away from the painting. She went down a narrow passageway and came into a larger space. She saw a male staring at more paintings. He was a mix of Browns, dark and light. She lurked in the shadows before stepping out. "Hello" She practically whispered.
