The young girl stood poised, her front paws hooked over the edge of the rocky protrusion that was - though she didn't know it - the cinderblock foundation of an old farmhouse, her chin resting on the hard surface. All that would be visible outside of the square of blocks would be her white paws - overly large for her size, but still comparatively small - and her black-marked head peering over. Hanging there like that when she'd first begun coming here her paws didn't come close to touching the ground. Now they dangled just over it, tantalizingly close. It had started as a way to measure her own growth, but mostly she came here to think, purple gaze staring out over the range land while her thoughts were clearly elsewhere.
Even though her paws still didn't reach the ground and she was still smaller than Mercy and Revenge surely she was big enough to help her mother and father in some way. Maybe she could go with her father on his scouting trips if she asked him nicely. Or maybe Uncle Soliloquy would teach her how to hunt rabbits so she could bring one to her mother. She was just tired of being a pup, being too little to do anything really.
Still mulling over thoughts and problems that were really, really big to a pup her age, she continued to stare out over the grasses and dangle by her paws.
