The murky water lapped at the sand, crashing against the shore in hissing waves, receding just as quickly into the greater body from which it came. The sky had become dreary and gray, clouds heavy with unshed snow. Somehow it gave the impression that the heavens were finally beginning to reflect its numberless age of having comforted Alacritis for so many eons. In some far away thought Nibelheim wondered if ever the sky might fall. It was a curious idea and inspired a soft chuckle but the ocher male did not pursue that particular avenue.

His usually restless mind had finally been silenced, by what he couldn?t rightly say but he was grateful for it nonetheless. It provided him a rare moment of total, unadulterated silence that he reveled in. Wanting to take full advantage of this opportunity he had sought out the calmest place he could find, a journey that had taken him east until he?d reached the delta. It was by far the most serene area he could find considering he had just come from a swampy forest that likely hadn?t sprouted a hint of foliage for years.

He liked the water and its consistency, how it would roll across the shores and return to the sea only to repeat itself. He?d taken the time to bathe the muck away too and while the cold numbed his skin and caused him slight discomfort he was left feeling clean and refreshed.

For once there were no whispers dripping poison in his ears, no grumblings of discontent biting at his thoughts. Nibelheim was alone in his mind, a place that seldom was only his.

This place was curios to say the least with it mostly being stripped of vegetation with the never ending flow of molten rock from a volcano not too far away. The dame had proved to stray from the place Canttina called home, some rickety old boat lodged on a beach filled with holes. Shaking that head of hers briefly the dame wondered what the hell that crazy wrench had been thinking in the first place. With a sigh parting those lips did she pause in her steps and made that nose wrinkle slightly as it too in the scent of another which proved to be a head of her. Raising a brow Morgana padded forth as the red form came into sight.

The chaotic women said nothing as those frosted eyes watched him, seemingly heading some where or perhaps just enjoying the area. Looking up as those eyes blinked seeing the white snow just starting to fall; the greying clouds above finally having ushered their package along there was no telling if it would turn out into a full blown blizzard. For the moment, the male was somewhat ignored as that mind wandered just what would happen or more so what kind of destruction this day would wrought.

Little gems of refracted light glittered along the waves as the sun dipped beyond the horizon, announcing its farewell in a flamboyant display of colorful ingenuity. It remarkably managed to brew endless fire flickering from the sky above. The speckled, rare white within the faded sapphire heavens now boasted an array of autumnal hues that shamed the trees who thought themselves able to mimic it. Ruby, topaz, and brasses burning the rest of the world Nibelheim watched the spectacle with quaint fondness. He only lamented that the onset of gray, snow clouds billowing in from the North, began to shower him with crisp white flakes.

His idle time was interrupted ? such as it always was ? by the appearance of another creature. A wolf, female he was able to discern from a quick inhale of salted oxygen, plodded nearby and their eyes met for the briefest moment. Distantly Nibelheim believed her to be a phantasm of his own make, yet another apparition created to amuse him. However if that were the case then why did she ignore him rather pointedly? None of his prior hallucinations had done that before.

Intrigued, Nibelheim continued to watch her with avid attention, wondering if this was perhaps some new game his mind had cooked up for him. But he would get no answer from silence and since most of his personal poltergeists tended to be quite the conversational bunch this new anomaly was strange and slightly perturbing. ?Is there a reason that you?re here, wraith?? he queried at last, deciding he rather didn?t like this new development at all.
