Just when Aeolus thought he had a father he had been left alone, same as what his adopted mother had done to him. Every time he thought he had found a permadent home, but his dreams and thoughts were crushed when it could not be so. His heterochromatic optics shifted in the thicket. He had been alone and walked effortlessly through the thicket. Every time he walked, he would step on branches as they snapped beneath his weight even though he had grown he was still a pup. So far he had lived most of his life alone.

His thoughts would be interrupted as heavy paw prints could be heard behind him. His eyes widened as a bear approached him, claws extended about ready to strike him. Aeolus ran out of the way and quickly hid in a crack of a tree trunk. It growled angrily and tried to break into the trunk to reach him as Aeolus howled a puppy howl and cowered in worry as the bear was close to breaking the trunk. True terror began to overwhelm the small rogue pup.

Her paws would bring her back from the northern part of the lands, her thirst for blood still not satisfied. Her quarry was still very much on the loose, and her heart grew heavy for it. Mismatched eyes would trail over the forests as she watched the close contact of the thickets. She hadn?t stepped foot here since she met Morphine, a she wolf that hadn?t crossed her mind in a good amount of time. She would again be banished from her thoughts as the panicked sound of a young wolf would come to her ears. The tiny she wolfess would become alarmed and the woman would race towards the sound. What she found was terrifying. Holed up in the crevice of a tree was the young one.
She would stop, fright taking her as she just looked at the attacking bear, she was too stunned to do anything. Not so long ago she had been attacked by a bear, her haunches still showing the scars from the encounter. Pale ears would lower to her skull as she panicked, she was too small to do anything to save the young boy. She would whine before throwing her head back to call for help, such actions might even have alerted the bear to her presence.

Aeolus would whimper in shock as he began to move back against the back of the tree. The bear growled, his eyes showing rage as he managed to smack to smack the crack he was hiding in bigger. The young brute cowered as large ebony claws dug into Aeolus' side, howling in pain as blood dripped down the deep gash he recieved. Such actions caught the pup off guard, he would whimper as he would see his own blood stain the ground as the large bear stood on his hind legs, growling as alabaster teeth as well as saliva could be shown. Aeolus tried to stand after being smacked, but pain surrounded him as he whimpered and closed his eyes, praying that he would not die.

The bear went to smack Aeolus once more and the young pup howled in worry and pain. He didn't wish to die like this, not when he had no one to love and protect him. He coughed as blood dripped from the pups mouth and in front of him as he shook from weakness and worry, soon, everything went black.

She would watch the young boy cower and whimper as the bear went after him, but she could do no more than helplessly watch on, she would make sounds of horror as the pup was stricken multiple times, then he went limp. She would growl, still unable to move, but suddenly the bear would stop. It would lower its massive paws and just look at the hurt wolf. Song would raise her hackles and growl once more, baring her teeth and pulling herself to her full tiny stature. But the previously furious bear would only stare at her blankly before turning and walking the opposite direction like nothing had even happened.
As soon as the thing could no longer be heard she would rush to the wolf?s aide. He was still breathing but his lacerations were rather sever. Song didn?t have much strength, but what she had she would use to drag him from the tree. As best she could she would drape him over her back, and laboriously start to drag him back to Sawtooth unaided.

All Aeolus could feel was the pain that the bear had done to him. He could feel his own crimson blood that was keeping him alive, slide down his sides where the deep gashes have been placed upon his small form. He was used to pain, but, this pain was new, and life threatening. His orbs quivered as he coughed slightly, but, darkness was all he could see for he was too weak to even open his eyes. He could feel himself moving, but where he was not so sure, and this was not of his doing. His tail swayed slightly, but he was not sure why or how. The ebony pup weakly opened his eyes as he could see a white shadow, which was the only thing he could see at this time.

"Am I in the other world?" he asked in a whisper, unsure of what to say or do next as he sometimes wished he was in the other world. His mother and father were there, and he had been abandoned more times than he could count. Dayton abandoned him, and then his adopted mother abandoned him. What else could he do next? It was as if life was trying to push him away and he could die and the world would not even care or notice that he had vanished.

She?d carry him as best she could, dragging his feet, but walking fast enough that the blood loss would not kill him before she got him home. She just had to hurry. Thankfully, unlinke Threar their healer?s den had been untouched by the waters, their stores somewhat full for the oncoming winter. He?d be fine once they reached home. Still, there was worry within her, and for the first time in a long time she?d find herself looking to the gods for help. After she?d lost Descant a big part of her felt like it had died. She cursed the divine and left Ludicael. Now, she knew not else what to do. Then the child spoke to her.
She?d feel herself push on quicker, knowing now that there was a chance to save this young wolf. ?No, not yet little one. Hang in there though, we?re on our way home.? She hoped he would hold on until her paws met Sawtooth land. She could save him, she knew it.
-exit song to sawtooth?- (shall we start a new thread?)
