Ardhel slithered through the tall grass. Moving as gracefully as a gazelle, and as silent as a breath of fresh air. Ardhel had spotted the young buffalo, strangely it was alone, while walking through the great plains. She was one of the most skilled hunters. She may have been small but she was very fast and very strong so she could take down a small male deer. She was about to pounce when she heard a rustle in the grass. The buffalo bolted, she would pursue it later, her tracking skills left others in awe. She wanted to see what was there, it could have been the wind but there was hardly any. She cursed silently. What a fool, she was hungry. "Who is there?" She asked not bothering to keep silent, her prey was gone. She stepped out into the clearing and saw another wolf.
"Who are you and what is your business here?"

"I did not mean to intrude. I must have crossed over without noticing. I shall return from whence I came. But may I ask first, are you an alpha?" Ardhel turns her head. She was puzzled, the wolf was so bitter, it was an honest mistake. She wondered if she could settle here. Could this be the long sought paradise she had wished for for so long, being a rouge was tough, having no one to console, no one to look to, not being able to settle. She never could have anyone, everything she had ever loved, she had left behind. She thought there was no more room for love or friendship, her heart had turned to stone. Could this place change her heart, change her life even? "I have decided I would like to join your pack. Is it possible to join on such short notice. I am alone and I wish a pack. I shall leave and never come back if you do not wish me." She bowed her head.

Ardhel suddenly had hope. She could be accepted here, no longer a rouge, finally having somewhere to belong. She had belonged nowhere since, since... since well her parents tried to kill her.
"I apologise for not letting you know of my presence. But yes I am new to Alacritis, I travel only with rogues, I do not know much of the customs of packs."
Ardhel's heart was pounding, not in fear, but in excitement and hope. She was sure that she would be allowed to settle here. She could have friends, proper friends, not ones you left after a few weeks of traveling together, but loyal trustworthy friends, that after all was what Valhalla stood for. She might even be able to find a mate, she had hoped for a love for so long. Ever since she was a pup she wanted someone to love her in the way her parents had not.
"I would much like to join your pack. To finally fit in and to have kin that love me..." Ardhel was lost to the world for a few seconds, away in a deep reflection of her past. She shook herself out of it quickly. "I will join if you will have me." She bowed her head again in a show of respect.

Ah, so she was new here - she had guessed correctly. The woman seemed to be hanging on her words in the way that someone looking forward to something did. That was a good sign - she seemed sincere about wanting to be here, and willing to learn. "Most packs here are neutral or good in nature - and Seracia is our sister pack, located a bit south from here." It was a place that she could explore if she wanted, and it shouldn't be a problem. Seracians were always welcome on Valhalla soil, althouogh it helped if they had a bit of information on how their Queen was doing - Chrysanthe very much missed her sister. The other packs are Amenti, Ludicael, Tortuga and Glaciem. Stear clear of the last if you can..." Don't worry about it maam, you'll learn the customs along the way. I'll teach you whatever I can." She nodded toward her, a motion of acceptance. The other lupine was respectful, and although Chrysanthe liked that, she wouldn't mind seeing her relax a bit. Perhaps this all seemed too easy? Too good to be true even? " Of course I will have you. We don't turn away the able and willing." With a small smile reserved for her family and pack mates, the alpha would hold back a small laugh. It seemed that they were doing things a bit backward. "I do need your name though, if I want to give you a proper welcome." How would she greet her if she didn't know her name?

Ardhel looked at Chrysanthe and grinned. "I am Ardhel Narmolanya." she looked at her and grinned again. The sun had begun to get more useless as the year had gone on, the bitter air was biting into ehr skin now. "I would much like to learn of your custom m'lady." Ardhel did not want to offend this woman, nor did she want to appear overly snobbish, so she added "thank you again Chrysanthe." she relaxed a little bit. Only just realising that she had been tensed since the alpha arrived. She looked and smiled again. Her purple eyes had returned to a more purple than blue now. They danced in the autumn sun.

The woman loosened up a bit, and it was good to finally get her name. The alpha would gladly show her the ropes if she needed it, but much of what she wanted to learn could be gathered by just meeting other wolves. Hearing her thank you, Chrysanthe would nod, motioning for her to follow her further into the territory. "Welcome to Valhalla miss Ardhel. Currently we are close with Seracia and have ties with Ludicael, Amenti and Tortuga. Be wary of Glaciem. Currently we aren't on good terms." The pack had caused her nothing but trouble, and although she was slow to deem anyone as her enemy, they were the closest thing that she had, and more than she really needed. "Seracia lies in the South, while Ludicael and Tortuga are in the west. Glaciem and Amenti are northern packs."
"If you ever need anything, you can call on me, or my mate Gideon." It had been a day or two since she had seen the other lupine, she was starting to miss him dearly. Thankfully it was a feeling that was easily remedied, she had only to track him down and he was never too far off. "Most den near the heart of the territory, but some chose to sleep elsewhere." She could pick wherever she wanted to stay.
ooc: she's been a member of Valhalla if that's what you're waiting on? But if I've taken too long I understand if you want to put her somewhere else and do those other things you want to do with her c:
