Maija wasn't sure why she returned to the pack borders of Tortuga. Maybe it had been the words that were eloquently spoken by the large, violet Queen that brought her back. It could have been because of the fact that those that came together were similar like her in more ways than one. They weren't all rainbows and lollipops. There were possibly torrents of malice and madness swirling in their souls. The biggest thing that probably made Maija return was that all of these personalities had secrets, desires that didn't surface. Even if you tortured them to death, they would keep such personal information wrapped up and secured under lock and key. Security was something Maija had gone without for too long.
She stood with her neck extended, sniffing the air that surrounded the packlands. The scents of numerous wolves smacked her nose head-on and she snapped her head back from the intensity. Maija wasn't used to the idea of being in a group of wolves, let alone ones that matched her mindset. Her ears perked as she heard voices and cackles in the distance, pitter-patters of the current members that had already found their places amongst themselves. Maija flicked her tail out of habit and hesitantly took a couple of steps forward. The Romanian was still undecided, but something inside of her was wanting to pull her in the pack's direction.
It was then that Maija realized she was out in the open, an obvious target for other wolves that had potential to try and mess with her. She looked around with stony eyes and an increased heart rate in her chest. After looking for a place to seclude herself, she saw the tree that stood just near the outer edge of the borders. Maija took that chance and slipped beneath it, making sure to look all around before she allowed herself to relax. Respirations slightly increased, but she took in deeper inhalations and sent the oxygen to her lungs and the bloodstream. Nerve receptors got the message to calm down and her CNS helped her breathing rate decrease down to the teens. She took that time to look around again, this time with a reproachful gaze. If anyone came to her, she wasn't sure what the result would be...She only hoped it would be in her favor.

Panic, the flavor of the well known. Wide eyes filled with fear that made the whites shine like diamonds. The static in the air that seemed to roll of a body in waves with no sign of release and yet it was easy enough to settle the nerves, if one truly wished it. The heart would race; beat frantically in its cage, like a fluttering bird demanding release and the head would swell with dizziness. She knew, she felt these feelings one to many times. She watched from the shadows at the woman who had said nothing at the meeting, merely listened, she knew someone who did that. She couldn?t help the smile that touched her lips at the idea of her daughter. Syn had always been the quite one, the observer, and she still was.

She watched as the woman bolted, she knew it was coming, and found her way beneath the earth. Some times, small places could be just as comforting as discomforting. She disliked enclosed spaces but some felt more secure knowing what surrounded them. She noticed the woman seemed to regroup, sniff a little, and take a feel for the world outside of her bubble. She thought the time was perfect to seek her out.

She moved with an odd sort of grace. Her heavy body seemed to almost glide towards the female in hiding. She stood I good distance away but still in her line of sight, allowing her distance and comfort, but still addressing her nonetheless. ?The trees speak whispers of who is here and who is not. Do you cling to their words to sooth your discomfort? I find the flowers tend to help calm me, with their inviting aromas and soft touches.? She said with a smile. She wanted to touch the other wolf, to comfort her, but she remained where she stood keeping the distance.

The result was definitely in her favor, although she didn't know it. Maija's body movements were tense, cautious -- explaining the silent paranoia that was evident in those physical actions. Her eyes remained stony and emotionless, not letting the purple female take note of her feelings. Even though she was an open book by her movements, Maija still didn't want to be completely exposed to the woman.
The silky words that left the other's lips met the ears that immediately flattened to her crown. Maija wasn't sure how to take such poetry of the soul, let alone respond to it. Her scent also reached the golden-furred fae's nose, making her realize that this stranger was familiar. She remembered her then, making the announcement at the Tortuga meeting. Her tail flicked behind her out of habit, gaze never leaving the massive form of the female in front of her.
Maija stood from her cowering position from beneath the tree to her fullest height. Proud and elegant, Maija's form crept forward from the space she had temporarily claimed as her own. Her leaf green gaze contrasted against her golden fur, of which was slowly growing thicker as the weather got colder. With her steady eyes on the Queen, Maija's words were extracted from her, as if she had been tortured to speak. "I know not the words of nature's beings, only the words spoken by my soul." Her ears, which had temporarily perked, reclined back to her cranium again. "I have yet to meet another whose match their importance."
Romanian accent rolled from her tongue, hitting the words at the proper places. Mentally, she wanted to recede inside her shell and not face another stranger. Since losing Dragomir, it was all she wanted. However, something inside of her prompted the Romanian beauty to continue facing Newt. Maybe there would be some good out of this meeting. "What other ways would there be to have a soothed mind?" She pried, wondering what she was thinking.
