ooc;; museless for Cyn D: will get better I swear!

He loved the quiet of the north, the little extra bit of chill that came with the wind when it blew from the mountains. Everything about it reminded him of home, having grown up in the shadow of a mountain he found it comforting to be here. He hadn't been home since his first meeting with what had been the beginning of the snow rouges. Ever since Seracia had moved from the delta to the range Cynrik had never really felt at home there. The human made buildings made him feel uncomfortable, their towering presence often making him sleep along the boarder and away from the rest of the pack. He knew it was stupid, an irrational fear but he couldn't shake the feeling that death lurked within them. So that left him here, wandering the north easily, normally hanging out in the old Glaciem territory because it felt comfortable here.

Paws kicked at the snow idly as he walked, lost in his thoughts as he moved through the seemingly endless snow drifts. Sometimes it melted in areas up here but generally he found that the snow stayed and he was fine with that. His toes never seemed to freeze and his fur seemed excellent at whisking away the dampness. It was almost like he was built for these temperatures and this weather. Some days when he was walking he ran into other wolves and others he simply ran around on his own and vowed to never leave this place.

The frozen expanses of the north had always been Galileo's home, even when they inhabited Tortuga's territory. Galileo had found himself as high up in the mountains as he could get, avoiding the more temperate valleys in favor of the parts most similar to his old home. And so it should have come as no surprise that when his family found themselves setting up shop in the North once more that Galileo had ducked away from his sisters and parents, and headed towards Glaciem's old territory. Home. His home had always been these lands. They had never been Tortuga or anywhere else, honestly. They said that home was where the heart was, and his heart would always reside here.

Moving smoothly across the icy lands, Galileo seemed more content here than he had been anywhere else for a very long while. There was a kind of peace here that couldn't be found anywhere else. The cold muffled all noises, and even in the middle of summer, the heat had only the smallest of grips on these lands. They were cold, even now, and that was exactly what the thick furred wolf had missed.

He was distracted enough by the rush of nostalgia that had hit him that Galileo didn't notice the scent of another wolf until Galileo had all but stumbled upon him. He stirred, feeling a flicker of irritation in his mind as he thought of another wolf on the lands that had once belonged to his family. To him, they would always be Glaciem lands. No wolf should be allowed to trespass upon these lands. They were his. And perhaps some day soon, he would be able to make his claim official. Until then, however, he would deal with this 'trespasser' in a friendly enough manner. No point in being rude to a wolf that was surely older than he.

So Galileo made his approach carefully, "Hello there." He let his voice ring out strongly as he padded closer to the other male, who seemed to be a rather interesting shade of . . . was that gold? How interesting. And Galileo had thought his family had interesting markings.

Home, he wasn't even sure where that was anymore. He had pledged his allegiance to Seracia when he had first come to these new lands after the eruption but he no longer knew if he wanted to be a part of that pack anymore. The lands made him uncomfortable, and it long longer felt like home anymore, not like the delta had... Even in this desolate place he felt more at home then he ever had in the range. Maybe that was why it had been so long since he had returned to his pack lands, so long since he had left these cold climates. He had been toying with the idea of maybe talking to Maverick and seeing if he could leave the packs, see if he could find Gargoyle and join the snow rouges. But thus far it was just an idea. Just something he toyed with when he was along and had nothing to do other then walk and think.

He noticed the young male before the completely collided, stopping and back peddling slightly before stopping and holding his ground. He had only met one wolf with colors like that and immediately the golden male's tail began licking at his heels. Gargoyle, funny that he would be thinking of the giant male and then this boy that held a striking resemblance to him would show up. He greeted Cynrik in a polite tone and the golden male let a smile slide across his features, head tipping as he studied the boy's markings. "Why hello, you look... Familiar..." He paused, once again distracted by his thoughts as he watched the male draw ever closer.

He seemed friendly enough, polite but not exuberant like his age might suggest. Reserved, Cynrik could respect those traits and thankfully it was a male not a female approaching him and it made it easier to slide into his more respectful and formal ways. "I'm Cynrik Sovari, an old friend of Gargoyle and the snow rouges in general. You wouldn't happen to know them would you?" He had long since realized the coincidences did happen, this male might have no family ties to Gargoyle at all so it was polite to ask rather then assume and maybe step on some toes.
