OOC: Set during the weaker time of the storm

The storm was getting weaker, yet the rain was still as powerful as many perfect crystals, falling from the darkened sky. The thunder roared majestically, like war drums to the woman's ears. But this storm would not last forever, and so she would linger in this moor for a few more moments. A little rain, howling wind and angered clouds did not seem to bother her. Nature has her reckless and chaotic side, does she not?

The rain would cease, for now. The dominant maple enchantress would swiftly check her pack's borders. She had not spent much time in her new life, and whilst ranked as a commoner, she might as well scout her home's territories. The lady had also not met any other members of Arcanum (which didn't seem to bother her as she really couldn't care less about others). In the meantime, her stamina and lung capacity would allow her to travel the moor and plains with speed and agility, like a flaming golden eagle. And so the rain would fall once more, the storm continuing. She was like the blazing fire against the lifeless, grey clouds. Even with the shattering rain, she would never be put out.

ooc;; set before his daughter's death so he's not a douche <3

The storm didn't bother him, he was honestly enjoying the solitude it brought. It gave him a reason to curl up with his wife and avoid the rest of the world. But today Cat was off doing whatever it was Cat did and Kylar had no desire to lay in their den alone and let boredom rot his mind. Massive beat would pull himself from his den just as a fork of lightening arched through the sky and softly a small smile would play on his lips as he began counting. Ears were pricked, trying to catch the sound of thunder booming in the distance. After 15 seconds it clapped and he would sigh. 15 miles away, better then being in the eye of the storm as they had been for some time now. The best would set off then, long legs and massive paws pulling him forward at a steady lope that he know would take him around pack boarders in a few hours. Might as well do patrolling, what else was there to do anyways?

It would seem he was not the only one to think this, a brown femme would appear before him as he loped along the edge of the moor. This was his least favourite place next to Veronica Plains. Honestly he hated living here but until he could figure out some other way to make sure the Adarvendi's never got their filthy paws on it again he would make sure that he kept it for himself. "Streatching your legs while the rain calms?" He didn't know this girl but she smelt of the pack, fuck Cat was right he had been absent for far too long. Though he would never openly admit that to her.

Just as she was starting to enjoy the solitariness of herself and the careless winds, a scent of another reached her nose. Masculine words flowed to her ears before the woman rested her brilliant azure gaze on the man who had spoken. Size was the first word that had instantly come to her mind. He was a large creature, draped with a pelt of ebony and ash with electric green optics. He seemed like a man that would hold high importance in the pack.

She had not expected meeting her pack members so soon, but it would have to do, just so she could effortlessly pass the time. It would be important to at least learn the names of her pack members. Not necessarily befriend them, but just to establish a basic acquaintanceship.

"Of course," The dame would reply to the man's inquiry, deep and elegant words flowing from her maw. "Just scouting the territory."

She seemed a bit shocked wt the sudden company, her eyes snapoing to look at him. Despite his rank he kept a rather non threatening appearance. His skull was lowered, parallel to his spine so he could look at most wolves rather then down at them. Tail was held limp behind him rather then arched above his back like he held it when trying to prove a point. From his apparance he looked like nothing more then a commoner, add on the fact he had been a crappy husband and father and never shown up to any pack gatherings since its founding made him a prwctically unknown face. She would soeak and he would nodd, an odd smile touching his lips. "Funny, I thought that was my job. But since your out here mind some company?" He asked, lifting massive shoulders in a shrug. He didnt mind if she said no, it would be faster for them to split up and take half the territory each but sometimes company was nice. "How long ago did you join Arcanum anyways?" He asked, moving to step past her and head the way of the boarder she had been following so they could walk and talk.

His job? What duty did she have as a commoner? Weren't commoners just another useless rank? She had hoped to prove her worthiness and skill to be promoted to a higher rank, but that didn't seem to be happening any time soon.

"I don't mind," The fluent damsel replied with a relaxed tone, preparing to walk again beside the border. The silver and onyx male next brought up the question of how long she had been in Arcanum, and she would answer. "I've been in Arcanum for about a season now."

A season wasn't quite long, but the female wanted nothing more but to serve this pack well through many seasons and years to come. Whatever rank she may soon be awarded, hunter or fighter, she would need to keep her loyalty, as she had pledged when she first came across this pack.

She didnt mind, he would nodd lightly in response, acknowledging it but otherwise brushing those words off as they would move on to speak of other things. His long limbs normally devoured distances but today he was considerate of his company, slowing his pace to a more normal stride. Head would remain lowered, eyes drifting along the boarders and nostrils flaring as they walked along for a moment of silence bettors once again filling the time with words. Usually a man who chose not to speak he was feeling oddly chatty today. She would answer his question almost dismissively, simply stating it had been a season and after a second he would turn his massive skull to regard her easily, brow raised slightly. "And what rank is it you bare? Commoner? After a season perhaps it is time for a promotion. Tell me... What is your name and desired rank?" His voice was a deep rumble to match the storm as he slowed a bit and then stopped, turning to face her completely. He wasn't normally one to hand out ranks but it was useless to have commoners. They did nothing but sit around and eat everything. They needed wolves training, they needed fighters and hunters, healers even. He could do most battle healing himself but it wasn't his specialty that much was for sure.

It wasn't that hard to guess, was it? She would be doing something much more productive if she was not still ranked as a commoner. A promotion was just what she needed, and the way this interesting conversation was going, she might just get that. Did these high ranked wolves give out promotions so often? Or perhaps the lady had found herself the prime moment to be given one.

"I am Aislinn," The woman answered, almost submissively. Her tone was faintly intrigued and her flickering eyes keen and sharp, facing the larger man. She would roll out her final words, her wanted rank. "I desire to be a militant."

She wouldn't go for a high position, the woman could not possibly be worthy enough for it. A fighter position was perfect for now, just until she can train herself to a better rank. Would the position simply be handed to her or would she have to spar to claim it? It was the male's decision, not her's.

She seemed to know where this conversation was going, took a slightly more subdued posture though not completely submissive and he had to admit he appreciated it. His own head would lift slightly, raising to show a bit more rank even as his haunches would fold and he would lower himself into a seated position. She would introduce herself and he would tip his head and nodd in acknowledgement to her name before he would speak again. "A pleasure.. I am Kylar Sovari, Chancellor and secondary to my wife Cataleya here," he would introduce languidly. It was about time he made his presence and rank known. He doubted that anyone knew who he was, doubted that anyone knew his face but it was about time he became a bit more well known.

She would speak her desired rank and slowly a brow would lift, regarding her cooly as he considered this. A warrior? She must be a good enough fighter to be part of this pack, must have already proved herself to Cataleya to have joined. Why commoner then? Odd... "Militant you shall be then. We expect all our members to have a basic knowledge of everything though, please attend pack hunts, warrior training as well as any healer training we may have..." If they ever had healer training... Unfolding himself he would again stand, again set off along the boarders in hopes she would follow. "Have you seen any large game herds since living here?" He would ask, a plan slowly formulating in his mind.

The man would tip his head as he introduced himself being the Chancellor of Arcanum, as well as the husband of the Queen. Ah, Kylar was a fine and interesting name, one that she would remember if she ever was to encounter the man for the second time. Being second in command, he had granted her desired rank as militant as well as adding the importance of attending all three types of trainings. The dame would nod as a sign that she understood. She would show up for all meetings, as any loyal wolf would. Healing was perhaps not one of her best areas of knowledge, though gaining the extra facts would be vital, in case she was ever injured in battle.

She found herself following the male once again by the border, ready to reply with eloquent words. "A few times, why do you ask?"
