It was a secluded part of the plains; somewhere along the southern border, where, on a strong, windy day, you could almost smell the sea. Everything was still this day though. There was nothing but the occasional rustle of grass or twitter of birds or wolf's howl in the distance. The far off distance. Castiel wanted to be alone. That was why he'd slipped under his father's radar during the hunting trip. Being naughty like that wasn't something he planned on making a habit of, but he knew he wasn't going to be any good to anyone today. He couldn't seem to listen, couldn't seem to focus. Too much was buzzing in his head, and he needed peace and quiet to push it all out. That was why he came here; Castiel's little corner. There was a pond - well more of a pool really - complete with rushes and reeds and the occasional mallard. There were some some grey stones to lie on if you felt chilly, and a white oak to rest under if you felt too hot and needed to cool down. Usually it was quite relaxing, but Castiel wasn't paying any attention to it this day. His back was bowed and his head was hung low. Yellow eyes glared at the dirt... when they weren't closed or fuzzed up with tears. |

Surreal |
Surreal bounded after a fluffy white tail and four lucky rabbit feet as it whipped around a tree trunk and down a rabbit trail. She skidded around after it, tongue flying, paws grabbing for dirt as she tore after the tricky fellow. Tail flagged, fighting for balance, and she began to gain. She saw the rabbit glance over it?s shoulder then dash into a sharp turn, sprinting off. She tried to turn, but her momentum took her through the bushes, and out into open air. The next thing she knew, she fell into a pond with a splash. She burst out of the water with a yipe, gasping and panting, before glaring back at the bushes five feet above her head. ?Well that will be the one that got away. Or fiftieth.? She rose to her paws in the water, fur plastered to her skin, muscles rippling clearly as she moved. Turning from the bushes, she looked up, and let out a soft squeal of delight, for oh who should she see sitting there, glaring at the dirt between his paws and looking down, but her brother! Castiel! She splashed out of the water and tackled toward her elder brother. ?Cas! Cas! You?re home! Oh you must have learned so much from Papa!? She wasted no time in embracing him. And bathing his face and shoulders in sister kisses. Wet ones. |
